Froyo bug: notification bar stuck using skype - Galaxy S I9000 General

I don't know if it was brought up but notification bar does not scroll down.
This happens when I am using Skype or jetVD.
Restarting it fixes the problem but if i start using those app again, bar gets stuck again.
Anyone know how to fix it?
I really wanna use skype...
I am using I9000M with JL2

It happens to em too. The problem starts after the 1st call. so as long as skype is open but no calls come in the bug doesnt happen

Solved notification bar froyo 2.2 stuck
if you dont mind to use this way to let your froyo 2.2 continue operate without reboot the phone, here is the way.
2 fingers require, do not swipe the notification bar from top to bottom, but use 1 finger tap the notification bar, fastly second finger tap anywhere bottom of the screen.

Any feedback on why this is occurring and if there's a way to restart the process that manages the notification tray?
I get this problem as well, and it's not just when using Skype. There may be another root cause here.

Same calendar problem as hero?

When I had the hero I had a problem with calendar reminders, can anyone confirm whether this is the case with the legend as well? Here's my original post:
When the screen is locked, and a calendar remidner pops up, is the an option other than dismiss or snooze? For some reminders, I don't want to keep snoozing, and I don't want to dismiss cause it'll disappear. On other android phones I would unlock the screen, check the reminder and then leave it or press home and it would stay in the notification pane until dismissed. But with the hero to even access it it seems I need to dismiss it. Any way around that?
cant you just snooze it and then check it ?
No, because i don't want it to keep bothering me, which is what happens when you snooze.
Basically when it beeps, and I see it on screen, I just want to silence it without snoozing (cause it'll keep coming back) and without dismissing (cause then it's gone).
On android phones without htc sense it works, you just hit the home button, which keeps the event in the notification bar until you go select it and dismiss it.
I tried to switch off the screen and it helped to me. The reminder was available in the notification bar and no other bothering occured.
good point, the hero didn't have a screen button if I recall correctly, thanks I'll give it a try when I FINALLY get my phone

[Q] Notification tray view problems (Screenshots attached)

Hello All!
I am a nexus 4 user since the past 1 year or so. unrooted. running 4.4.2...
suppose whenever I capture a screenshot, the added functionality of sharing it through the notification tray itself by touching 'Share' keeps disappearing and re-appearing for some days. The disappearance is sort of for a prolonged time. And its seriously frustrating to open the gallery to share the screenshot when I am unable to share it through the notification tray itself.
Morover, while using Google Play Music, the function of going back to previous song through the notification tray itself also disappears and reappears for some days.
The disappearance of both happen simultaneously. Both appear for a no of days but disappear for weeks!!!
These 2 are the only egs I can explain. Some other apps notification also get affected in terms of view due to this kind of bug. (ike I am unable to view Whatsapp conversations on the notification tray itself and on other days it shows 'n conversations from n people')
Pls go through the screenshots to get an idea of the problem my device is encountering. I hope its clear....
Pls suggest what should I do to remove this!!!
Any kind of suggestions/fix will be helpful...
Thank you.
(the screenshots maybe dated old, but the problem is happening still now...even after upgrade to kitkat)

This isn't a problem, it's a feature. I think it's called "expandable notifications". Using two fingers, slide the desired notification downwards (be it music, whatsapp or a screenshot) and you should be able to see the extra options. When a notification is in "compact" view, it doesn't have many options, and sometimes none at all.
About the appearance and disappearance, I think it's about how many notifications you have and which one happened first.

Hey
Thanks alot for telling me about that two-finger slide on notifications. I didn't know that. I am able to see the extra options now after using 2-finger-slide. I'll use it daily till I dont require for the extra options to show..
But these extra options do appear without the use of two finger slide on notification on some days. Like immediately after taking the screenshot but not using two-finger slide. and what happens in my phone is that the notification changes to compact view automatically after a few days(even if its only 1 notification)
Agreed about the last point, I knew it before but didnt mention.
Thanks for the information though. It really was helpful.:good:

No touch input after update to Lollipop

Need help as my phone became barely usable aftaer OTA update.
The top end of the screen (about 1 cm top to down) is not responding to touch. I cant tap any input in common use cases like using google search box widget, answering a call while in app using the new call feature, tap Send when composing an email and so on...
The only case this part of screen is active is when pulling down the notification bar, tapping objects like the clock (time display) Setting icon etc'. So I beleave this is not a hardware issue.
I did wipe the catch with no help and reset to factory setting with no help as well.
Did anyone experiance the same issue?
Any idea how can I overcome this except down grading back to 4.4.2?
Any easy trick for some one who is not a developer or deeply technical?
THANKS!

[APP][FIX] Notification panel opening problem during phone call FIXED

OnePlus One's screen has some bugs. One them is BACON-347 (https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-347) The first touch in any location while a phone call, pulls down the notification panel. This app can fix notificaiton panel opening problem while a phone call.
Immersive mode without root or xposed mode. Now it is possible to prevent this bug FOREVER.
Please remember that this app only work during phone call. If you have other touch screen issues please report that bugs to OnePlus.
Until this post 1000+ users installed and 89 of them gave 4.66 point for review. According to Flurry, this app fixed this problem more than 221,000+ times (5k in a day).
What is the problem: The problem is shown in the BACON-347 (https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-347). There is some ghost touch above status bar which cause to open notification panel. After first touch to screen, phone assume that these two touches releated (Your touch and ghost touch) and tell to system there is a slide from first touch to second one. This action opens the notification panel. But if the second touch is for hang up to call phone cant do that because it assume that you want to open notification.
How this app works: During a phone call, this app put a view above status bar and absorbs the effect of ghost touch(When this happened, fix count increase) After user's first touch, if user try to hang up call, app assists user and close the call. But if user touch any other position other than close button, app closes and dont open the notification panel. That is all.

*This app is only trying to reduce effects of BACON-347. It is not a permanent fix. You can watch this bug's state from BACON-347*
*This app is only for OnePlus One*
*This app has no guarantee to fix problem. It can be different at every single phone*
*This app is not fix for screen driver*

yes i was always wondering what the issue was. I will definitely give this a try.
It works sometimes to well
I have been using this app for probably about a week now. I can confirm that it works and has solved issues like when trying to end a call the notification bar comes down covering up the end call button so I dont end the call. The downside is if like you multitask a lot when on the phone and you need to pull the notification bar down it can be a pain. The app basically stops touch responses on the top left of the screen, so if you there is something you actually need to touch up there you have to disable the app. Which is easy enough just gets annoying. However I have discovered if you need to pull down your notification bar while in a call you can still do so by pulling down on the top right corner to pull down the quick toggles and then flip over to the notification area.
TL;DR - App works well and is worth it if constantly have issues with notification bar getting in the way when trying to end a call or it comes down after ending a call. Not without its flaws though if you multitask while on the phone.

What do you think if i put a button on screen for disable apps effects during call? Do you think it can be useful?

I think that would be great and helpful myself. As I said at times I must take get to the notification bar while on a call at times, which as I said I discovered if you pull down on the right for the quick toggles and flip over to notifications works. Not sure if it is possible as I do not do app development or if others would agree with me, but for me an option to disable whenever speaker phone is enabled and then enable again once taken off speaker phone would also work. As I find myself putting the phone on speaker whenever I need to multitask to the point that might require me to open up the notification bar.
Otherwise I find the app extremely useful as I said in the post before, appreciate your work.
I would recommend xposed force immersive module. Enable it on com.android.incallui and voila no sliding statusbar. It makes the incoming call fullscreen and you can not touch statusbar with your ear.

I updated app yesterday and add immersive mode without root or xposed. Now it is possible to prevent this bug forever.
Just tested this with a few calls, and it worked well.
Will continue to monitor. So far so good.
Thank you!

With the last Cyanogen OS 12 update for OnePlus One I verified that the bug still exists in Lolipop. I am wondering if it exists in OxygenOS.

How to get spinning circle notification on LED Flip Wallet like in this video ?

EDIT: Firmware update in canada fixed these issues.
Look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlGO2VXvAc0
8min 32seconds. His LED flip cases are getting that spinning circle notification for things like whatsapp and stuff.
All I get on mine is missed call and text.
I don't get missed email alert or missed whatsapp or the spinning circle (which I think is a general notification for any 3rd party app that isn't phone or text)
I checked every setting !
I also did a hard reset (hold down 3 buttons, navigate with volume and hard reset and reboot)
Nothing helped.... I still don't get that spinning circle notification.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS: Samsung support has no idea whats the issue...
I tried hard reset, still not getting it
Any ideas?

I got my Note 4 on the 21st of january, the led flip wallet the day after and I've had de circling dots since the beginning. Running Dutch NK4 build completely stock.
I get the circling dots, I get an an icon when something new arrives but after that.. just the dots.
If I press the side button or open/close the case, all I get is the time - no icons to show what's been missed. Is this the normal/expected way it works?
I'm unimpressed!

I think it only displays missed Call and Text.
For email, whatsapp and all other notifications, it only does the spinning dots.
I get the circling dots pretty much all the time, even when I have no notifications. eg Right now. If I open the cover, slide down the notification panel, there are no notifications. If I close the case, the time briefly displays and the case then goes blank for a whole minute. Then up pops the spinning circle again.
Yes the case is on properly. :crying:
