Apologies in advance if this doesn't belong here...I just received my Android figures in the mail and had to share this.

Hi, I could not ignored your cover. I just got my Desire Z yesterday and it already got a tiny scrach on it... i bought a cover before i got the device but when i installed it the screen didn't "locked" and when i tried to remove it its almost broke the phone... BTW i like how the rubberized plastic feels. (it started to twist the metal frame..) I will be happy if you could tell me what are u using.
and other general tips (maybe its not the place i don't know...) (BTW i use a chip screen protector i hope its not a problem).
thanking you in advance,
Oded

Lol, nice one dude

I am not the brightest of the lot and I must admit I only got it after visiting the thread like 4 times over a 2 day period.
I think it would even look cooler if you signed off the letters as A.N Droid

LOL You should post one picture of the droids every day. I would love that!

HTC called, they said they did not believe you... They need proof of the photographs.

Post of the week

lol, love it!

I'm using a vinyl sticker from Skinit.com and your general run-of-the-mill snap-on clear case from eBay, although I'm on my second one right now. If the thing doesn't fit on perfectly, stress cracks start developing around the tabs that fit on the phone.
I'm contemplating switching over to a translucent silicone case, but the checkerboard pattern is kinda ugly.

ive never seen plastic shatter like that. lol. not as dramatic.
Hopefully you had insurance.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Yeah it sucks. I have insurance, but i'm guessing because the phone is so new, I made a claim but I have to fax them information and do all this extra stuff. I never had to do this when I made a claim with the TP2.
Ouch, I'm known to do that sometimes leave me phone on my lap and get up out the car. Luckily I normally have some full body protection and a screen guard on my phone.
Looks like it still works though.
yeah I have a screen protector coming, will get here today (a bit too late lol). I am looking for a case, im picky when it comes to those. Not much out right now other than a limited ebay picking and the one from verizon. Which I just now found out they make in a clear color, looks like I will have one for my replacement...
I have the body glove and zagg screen, and as sad as this is to say I have actually drooped mine twice and you can't even tell. It still looks fresh outta the box. Good luck with the replacement to from what I've heard VZW is still sold out.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
sorry to say, but i dont think ur the first casualty.
also insurance ftw.
I bought the silicone cover from Verizon, I have not dropped my phone yet hopefully it protects the phone if I drop it.
Hopefully Otterbox will make one for this phone like the one for the iphone.
dropped my x10 and nothing happened. wouldn't wanna try it with my incredible now

When did they start with this box? It's adorable.
Awesome stuff

I got same replacement box in October.
I also got the same box with my swap but my swap was defective right out of the box (contant reboots). I sent back the swap and did a little art work of my own. I had a red saw mark across the thumb with red spray coming out everywhere (blood) and a big red "NOT" in from of all good. I'm sure the guys that received it got a good laugh out of it. Wish I had taken a picture.
Cool box. Would be cooler if it had a N2 in it made by HTC
Why does that remind me of this?
Oh, and another interesting thing, I sent it in completely stock 2.2.1 with the 4.06 radio and got it back with the 5.08, looks like they're upgrading them at the factory now.

You'd be incorrect.
I sent mine out a month ago due to random rebooted and it came back in a box just like yours but instead of the thumb it had a ribbon drawn on with a drawn on label that said 'im back.' Inside the box was my phone wrapped in a microfiber cloth with a card that said 'im happy to be back in your hands.' I thought it was a very clever touch that shows a lot of heart at HTC. My service was incredible all around.

I believe I called mine both cute and adorable as well.
I have nothing but good things to say about htc's customer service, specially considering the elusiveness of the nexus :]
The box doesn't look "all good."

That's how it arrived. Great job, FedEx. Luckily the precious content was unharmed.
I do have to agree on the "cute" and "adorable" descriptions
Bah, when I got mine back from HTC UK, it was in a plain padded box.

GS2 Back Cover: its very STRONG. Watch the video

Watching this video has put my mind at ease
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErXqnQKs-tA&feature=player_detailpage
I guess you need to check you link format
link edited, how do I post it directly here.
Wow!
Wow! That is amazing...
Now I can relax when i open the back cover and see it creaking and bending!
Thanks for the video, I changed phone providers (with many problems ) so feel much better since I change SIMS twice a day until my provider port over my old number.
Well, I'll show no mercy while removing the back cover from now on. That would not refrain me to buy a gel case though.
Edit: thanks for the vid
That's unbelievable
... and some people call this cheap plastic . Sure, everybody will want the back covered with some magical glass
This looks unreal!!
Just WOW! Really nice
What logo(carrier) is that @ the top? My back case only has the Samsung logo on it.
is old video and all battery cover are flexible lol
Didn't surprise me at all. It's flimsy because it's thin, but that doesn't mean it's weak or will break easily. I've always loved the thin back-cover

I've never really quite thought the accusation of bad build quality was ever warranted on the Galaxy S phones. Who the hell wants to carry a brick anyway!
I personally think the build quality on the S2 is noticeably better than its predecessor too. I can't quite understand some comments I've seen from some folks ruling out the SGS2 as they'll say stuff like "it wouldn't last 24 months etc". Load of balls if you ask me...

... all are flexible like that !
please show me
ive owned over 10 phones and if i ever did that it would break
I also feel the build quality is excellent.I never have any problem turning heads whenever I take the phone out of my pocket in public. Its a sure shot attention grabber if thats the kind to thing you need to get a ego boost.
Today I went back to using my old mobile Nokia N86 (while S2 was charging), and I was surprised by how ancient that phone feels now, just after using S2 for 7 days.
The best phone I have had till date, now that I have seen this video, I know its durable too...........

Not sure if the K or L model have the same back cover, or if it's a carrier-specific thing though.
EDIT: Looks like the SHW-M250L (for LG U+) has a different logo. A different camera layout too.
Woot plastic ftw! Though for the price we paid it shoulda been titanium, just sayin

How to unbrand back cover of Atrix.

Thought this was cool. I took off the AT&T logo off of the back cover of my AT&T Atrix. I took a penny and slightly went over the att logo with it( do not press just slightly go over with penny) and the att logo should come off without any scratches.

that actually worked pretty good. Thanks.
I took it all off(AT&T, M blur, and HD Video). Nothing better than an unbranded phone. If only the front glass didn't say Motorola.
Sent via the power of a unicorn's horn.
I saw this the first week the phone was released and I still haven't done it...haha. Cool mod, but old!
Did this a year ago.
Never live in the past but always learn from it.
WARNING. when i did this i could still see the logos pretty easily. so i kept at it and went right through the nice finish. oops. anyway im just gunna paint an android across the back now
This worked great for me with a sugar cube. Applying a little pressure appeared to make no difference, but with quite a bit of pressure I could get the logos off without scratching the back at all.
Sugar Cube ftw!
I have a chunk of raw sugar that must have gotten wet, let's see how we do.
Penny worked just fine. I was worried about scratches but there are none. Thanks.
i used my nail
I put my zagg shield on back cover with instructions
Seriously...... dude........ thankyou. I was online looking all day yesterday.

[MOD]Orange Desire HD[MOD]

Hello Guys!
I bought a Desire HD in December 2010 as my first Android Phone and also my first Smartphone. I was very happy with it and i fell in love with Android.
Sometime later after i checked out neary all Apps on the Android Market I got bored and decided to root my DHD. After The successful rooting the whole World of Android was open. I landed immidiatly here at XDA where all the cool magic happens. I flashed always buggyer things and got a fashmatic (you know what I mean). I have to say a big thanks to all devs of the Desire HD Forum who worked hard and still do for bringing us the best and the newest roms.
Also the flashing and stuff was normal I saw a thred with the chromed DHD. I was amazed and after a few month i did it but only with the frame. It was really nice and meany friends asked me if I had a new phone
Then after a few weeks i talked with a frend whose father could make a powder coating and I panted it in Orange. And now finally thats the result and i think its really nice
Now I have to share with you a few picture of the mod. All is working exept the Volume button i have to grind there the case a bit that he fitts.
enjoy
