[Q] hello every one

hello every one thanks every one for having me l am new to this . l have a htc evo 4g .l wandid to ask eny one to anser me if they can .l want to root my fone but l need the best pogram to root it .esy root . lhave herd of it but l dont know abut it .so if eny one have in idea. can ples tell me the perfec program for my htc evo 4g .l havet up dayt it jet. and can you ples tell me were can l dowlod it thanks every .

Ateast I learned something. I never understood why I always saw people type '10 characters'. I just found out why.
At OP. There are a few easy ways to root . FastRX8 instructions are what I followed (his thread). But now that peoples phones come with 2.2 already installed, I think unrevoked is necessary. Anyone feel free to correct me.

llook in teh dev section, then click onto the wiki and find it in there,

Used Unrevoked just yesterday. Works 100% and it doesn't get any easier. If you can't use this then you should root your phone. Enjoy!

[Q] Pls help

..I install custom rom...the GingerBread...but sadly I installed the Droid2 version...whn i install it, it showed abort..thn I reboot it...but in the same time it dead...I can't even on it..
Whn I press on power bottom, the M logo appeared about 1sec, the black screen(wif abit brightness)....
So how a? Pls help me...I do backup my ori rom, i can't get into recovery mode.....but I can go into BootLoader mode....
Anyway to rescue my Poor Little Moto Milestone2.....And do hv any video teach?
Pls help me.......

Sorry, I don't want to be rude, but I almost had an orgasm reading ur English.
Meanwhile coming to the point, the first thing u shud try doing is flashing the milestone 2 sbf and restore ur phone to a working condition.
See the milestone 2 development section for how to on flashing the SBF.

+1. The least one can do is put in some effort...
Anyhow, it surprises me someone decides to flash a custom rom, without even doing some research...
But yeah. Download the right SBF, download RSD and start flashing. Your Milestone 2 will get it's life back (assuming you've executed the whole process correctly...)

Hi Guys,
I'm new to xda and wanted to know if there is any help thread on how to use the site (yes m a complete noob )
Also there is another thing... I've jus got my samsung galaxy 3 i5801
I surfed some of the threads and found out there are many things that can b done with it...
please help me learn what all these mean
1. flashing
2. Types of rom
3. lag fix (should i do it...even if my phone doesn't lag...mayb for future)
4. gps fix
Also wanted it to know which is the best app to use for saving battery currently using setCPU
and app for moving to sdcard currently m using movetoSD for it....

With stock eclair you cna not move apps to SD card.
You must flash with froyo 2.2, i advice a stock rom for start, JPN version, i advice.
You have many sticky threads that will answear all you questions, just read em mate.

Well flashing a custom rom means to put another rom in your phone which is better and faster than the original stock 2.1 or 2.2 roms!! many bugs are removed in the custom roms!!

CM7 Install.....confused

Hi all. I have searched and searched the forum and been reading numerious posts over the last few weeks and have ended up more confused than ever.
I am fed up with the standard froyo on my uk vodafone defy and want something better. I read good things about cm7 and would like to give it a try, however I am not very technical when it comes to such things, I have found various guides all of which differ, the main cm7 thread on here does not seem to lead me to a download link.
Can anyone help?? idiots guide maybe......
what cm7 do I download and where and how to install.
I really have tried to understand some of the posts but will admit to some of it going straight over my head.

Is your phone rooted already? If so, do you have Clockwork Mod recovery? If not, you have to have that done before flashing a new ROM. If you do a search for the Defy youll find info on how to perform these operations... Cheers

Once you have completed that you can install ClockworkMod recovery and then flash CM7....you will love it!!

my friend if you cant understand the open discussions here. u can check out youtube. just search it, many good tutorials are available there showing the steps to install cm7.. tutorials by arjoma are really worth and very easy... but suggest you before u try anything on ur fone be equipped with all softwares needed and knowledge.. cuz its little risky .. so prepare and then go ahead .. good luck ..

I'm already initiated .. I used to root and flash my i9003 but I want to know only if it's the same ? I mean using odin and that stuff !! also how to get into download mode

Nope, Samsung Is way much easier than the DHD....just read, search and then ask before going on

Download the advanced ace hack kit and read its manual. Don't use HTCDEV to unlock your bootloader that will only give you problems later.
