I was checking my email earlier and I'm not really sure what happened but the button that I circled in the picture got replaced with the Gmail button. How do I get back the button that I circled in the picture?

Long press on the homescreen and select launcher actions. Then select open app drawer. Drag that icon into middle spot and it will replace gmail.

Ok I tried pressing on my homescreen and all I get is the menu where I can add widgets, shortcuts, etc...
Then I tried holding the home button and I get a faded black screen that says Recent then has the Messaging App, Gmail App, and Settings App icons underneath that.
I forgot to add I'm running CM 6.1

When you longpress & the submenu comes up you should go to shortcuts or custom shortcuts & pick your activity then choose launcher actions & the app launcher button should be available then just place & drag to the spot you want. I'm running cm6.2 but the same options should be available if not maybe you could restart ADW. Hope that helps

You are running an older version of ADW. long press/ custom shortcut/ launcher actions / open close app drawer. Drag the icon created down to your dock and you're in business.

Windows Startmenu Button instead of Panels Button?

Hey guys, NO, I don't want to remap the Panel Key. I just found this picture through xperiancers.com:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see, the panel button has the Windows-flag on it! Have you seen an X1 with this button before? Is it country-specific?
as far as i know this is a old picture, SE later released pics of the phone we have with X Panel. Guess they added panels later in x1s development

I do use the same ROM - any customization of lock screen widgets natively are found at System Settings > My Device > Lock Screen > Lock Screen Widgets
If you want to regain the bottom shortcuts such as (Phone, Google, Messaging, etc) then make sure "Shortcuts" is checked.
If you're wanting the different 'pages' of widgets on the lock screen, make sure "Multiple Widgets" is selected.
But if you're running your own launcher that may have adjusted your lockscreen, I have no freaking idea.

[Q] Notification Access Menu Paranoid Android 3.97

Does anyone know where the notification access menu option has gone in Paranoid Android 3.97. I'm pretty sure it was under security in stock 4.3 but I can seem to fine it anywhere in PA. Has it been intentionally removed?
Any ideas?
If you mean the notification history? Then you have to place a settings widget on your homescreen, and once you do so you will be prompted to select which settings you would like to see, then just select notifications. Now you can access the notification history by pressing on that widget

No I mean the notification access menu where you can grant applications that use the NotificationListenerService class access to read notifications:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have just checked on a friends stock 4.3 nexus 4 and it seems the menu option has been removed from there, hence not in PA (or any other rom) either.
Does anyone know why this menu option was removed from stock 4.3?
EDIT: I have confirmed the activity is still there and still does the job so just curious why it was removed from the UI.
UPDATE: Browsing the source code reveals that the menu option is hidden if you have no apps that use the new NotificationListenerService. Installing a app that uses makes the menu option appear under the security screen.

[APP] App Swap, your favorites apps one swipe away

Your favorites apps one swipe away, from anywhere !
App Swap is a drawer which allow you to easily launch your applications. It works with your existing launcher (Google Now, Nova, Yahoo Aviate, Everything Me,...).
There are two ways to launch it, from your home screen or with a swipe up from your navigation bar. And swipe up gesture can be done from any app.
This app is optimal when the device have a on screen navigation bar, like the Nexus family.

If the activity from where you launch app swap auto rotate then it will rotate. Ex from Google Maps it will rotate, from the home screen it won't rotate.
However the landscape layout is still under progress, the display/layout is not correct for the moment.
looks great... installed it and whenever i swipe up, nothing appears, i have to actually click the icon for it to appear... fix?

Actually I have a bug with the App Swap first launch, it is taking few seconds (initializing app list, analyzing icons...). The next launches should be fine ... do you confirm ?
I plan to fix the first launch experience.
