Hi, I am attempting to downgrade my streak from DJ_Steves 1.5.2 to the original Rogers 1.6 build 7921. I was wondering how the best way to go about this is. Do I simply find a nandroid backup and run restore or do I have to go back to O2 1.6 and then use a backup to get to the rogers 1.6? Or am I going about this entirely wrong. Also If you do have the original build of 1.6 could you please post it. Thanks for all the help everyone.

With any post with phone Q&A, please provide some phone specs; SPL, radio, etc.
If your phone can be rooted, there are some guides on the forums on how to root; http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Sapphire_Hacking -- and apply a 1.6 ROM, a good one is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633780 but this is for the old radio.
If your phone can not be rooted then you have to wait till HTC releases 2.1 and then root your phone with a rooted update to apply a standard 2.1 ROM without sense.
hi guys. Need your help here. I have a magic 32b vodafone australia. Since having it, i have been flashing different custom roms found here on my devices. All I need to do was to fastboot on pc with amon recovery and wipe/flash the rom. I managed to flash and run the roms successfully. However after i few tweaks, i realized those roms was too much battery hunger, and decide to switch back to stocks 1.5. Here come the problems: I flashed the amon recovery image to devices with droid explorer (so i dont have to use fastboot cmd on windows anymore), the phone ask to install new official update donut 1.6, but when it restart to recovery image platform, it say wrong signature and wont let me update. I flashed the google ION 1.6 but it seems slow and does not come with Vodafone audio parameters. I really want the official vodafone 1.6 donut back.
How do i update to official firmware? it seems like i lost the originial recovery image because flashed amon recovery, do i have to reflash the original to gain signature? i tried restore with nandroid but no help.
Please help me. I appreciate any support. Thanks in advance
YOurs sincerely,
no help? please... i know you guys are great. there are so many reply and this thread has been pushed to page 2, how come there are no answer
Best bet would do just do alot of searching on here and someother android forums for a vanilla build of 1.6 that would be good for you and is compatible. Do you still want to be able to access a recovery image? or nothing like a stock htc phone.
thankx for reply dude. however i have some battery issues with custom roms here. The phone always being out of battery so fast. I want the official rom upgrade. I suspect the issue lie in flashing stock recovery image with amon's one, so it does not let me upgrade. HOw do i get back the original?
Try this ROM, it's the official 1.6 ROM for the Google ION (which is the 32B Magic pre unlocked and flashed with engSPL). The ROM is standard 1.6 by Google, which nothing extra added, so you should be very good battery life.
Go to this
page and find just the 1.6 ROM (signed-google_ion-img-14721.zip), I doubt you'll need that radio.
hey guys, i really want to have that official roms back. The google ION image seems slow, and does not come with vodafone audio parameters. How do i update to official vodafone 1.6? i.e has anyone have the original recovery image of vodafone 32b?
thx
Hi,
I have been playing around with my Telstra Wildfire quite a bit and now I'd like to revert it back to 100% stock (I might need to bring it in for warranty if the stock ROM doesn't fix the problems).
Unfortunately, I never ran a backup. I remember that it came with 2.1 upgrade 1 and I'm not sure what radio or boot.
Would this do the trick? Or would i end up stuck with an unrootable 2.2? RUU_Buzz_Telstra_WWE_1.21.841.3_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_138758_signed.exe
If that's not good enough, if there anybody who have a backup of the stock ROM and would be so kind to email it to me?
Thanks a lot!!

thanks for your reply. http: // shipped-roms. com/shipped/Buzz/ is where I found:
RUU_Buzz_Telstra_WWE_1.21.841.3_Radio_13.45.55.24_ 3.35.15.31_release_138758_signed.exe
All I want to know is whether that's the original 2.1 upgrade 1 ROM that Telstra has been using on their Wildfires. I want to make sure that it's NOT the 2.2 telstra Froyo ROM that's been going around.
Thanks again!
All Froyo updates start their version with 2.xx. So, 1.21.841.3 is the 2.1 Eclair RUU.
i have a version of 1.6 on my g1 everything works and has more app feachers then the old version of 1.6 i had on it but now it dont play mp3 or mp4 how do i fix this i would like to find and put 2.2or 2.3 on my phone and keep my apps i paid for not sure how to do so i tried once to go from 1.6 to 2.2 and killed my phone it didnt work so i found the version of 1.6 i have now with the how to install that was easy to do for someone whos never done anything like this before if anyone can help in any way it would be great

Yeah, start from there. I did it twice already for my phone, work 100%. I did it once when I flashed CM 6.0 (Froyo 2.2), secondly, when I almost bricked the phone trying to update new bootloader and radio to have working updated Froyo 2.2.1
Hi guys, I'm pretty much a newbie to this all and was wondering if anyone could help me get my HD2 back to its original settings of being on WM6.5.
I recently upgraded it to 2.2 by NAND ( no idea what that means) but I was successful on getting it up and running on android.
Im now trying to be more adventurous and see if I can boot the rom to 4.4 but just for safe measures, I'd like to know how I can get the system back. Also if anyone can post the links of what Id need to download to get it to 4.4 and how I need to do that from 2.2 would be great. I don't know if I could just upload another android version on top of the 2.2 or if I would have to remove that first.
Thank you in advance

In future search before posting. To flash a higher version of Android (although 4.4 doesn't exist yet and probably never will) check out the guide in my sig. To flash a stock ROM just download one from the HTC website and flash the RUU in the bootloader.
I tried looking for previous posts that would hep, but this stuff is completely going over my head and I am still determined to get my HTC on an upgraded android version. What android version would you recommend? anything more up-to-date than 2.2 would be great (with everything working, I have read posts where some people have had problems with the camera not working)
I have had a look on the HTC website and they no longer support HD2 :-/ How can I restore it? *confused* I'm a complete newbie and a noob, yup both, but I will not be giving up
Further guidance would be great.
I think a JB ROM would be good if you want functionality and the latest version. If you want stability then 2.3 is probably best. The only real solution is to try a few ROMs out and see what you like best.
