I would recommend asking in the Viperrom thread or just trying the CM6 apps since its really the same file. Also, generally rom specific questions belong in the rom specific threads.
You obviously did not read the Viper thread prior to flashing. If you had you would have noticed a HUGE post with d/l links to EVERYTHING you are looking for, and then some. I'll help you out here, you don't have to look very far into the thread to find these things.
Thanks, i'll try there.

Clearly if i had flashed that ROM and changed everything to EXT4 i read the HUGE post. There is no link to download the GOOGLE APPS that i was asking for, only stock apps provided are all the sprint bloat-ware. Unless those are named something else, i dont see it! but thanks anyways

Hi guys - what is the method for installing a custom or test kernel on the Incredible? I've rebuild the kernel source with my changes, but I can't seem to find info on how a new image and/or its modules should be installed to the system.
I saw the undervolt kernel, but it looks like it has to be put into an update.zip file - is this the only method to push an image?
Thanks, Matt.
shouldn't this go under Q&A? Why is the development section overflooded with Q&A? Do the mods not moderate this section?
The N1 dev section is heavily moderated.
anyway, kernels can be flashed if you have the boot image in recovery.

This really helped me understand a lot of how this stuff is done. It's written for the Nexus One, but the process should be similar.
The site is : theunlockr.com ... Click on How To's --> android --> then Nexus One.
Hope this helps. Goodluck.
Edit: This reply was meant for a diff thread but may help people here as well.

thanks in advance.
nobody? oh cmon please help i wanna do it so badly
Go to darky's thread and the instructions are there in the first post. Check the REF in the general section. There are so many guides. You should search before asking as you need to learn a lot before you can flash the rom.

I'm assuming this is the thread you've read?

Go back and read the entire first post again. Then click on about every link in that post and read or watch them. Now I'm not trying to sound rude here, but if you're not sure what you're doing after all that then I suggest not doing it. But everything you need is in there, as it's where I started and I followed the directions in that thread very carefully, and to the letter.
Dont know how to search cannot find a post in a rush not going to bother reading the FAQS .
1/100 on he bricks his phone .

Hope this helps
First make sure your phone is rooted with superoneclick.

heres a link with everything else you'll need.
A Good tip is always do a lot reading before flashing roms and make sure you have everything you need i case you get stuck. i have had to get help a couple of times myself. And one other thing i would suggest is always have a stock firmware saved to your pc in case you encounter any problems. you can get stck firmwares from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
I've been using darkys rom 9.3 with steel blue theme for the past week now and its amazing.
Best of luck.

I was having some trouble finding ROMs that I can flash on my S4 via safestrap. The trouble is I don't know how to tell which ones work, and which ones don't. I have an aversion to testing them myself as this is my 3rd phone in about a year, and I don't want to brick this one too. If anyone can help me out and tell me which ones are good to use and work on MF3 S4's and can be flashed via safestrap, I would be very appreciative.
Now having said that, I apologize if there are posts already like this. I used the search function to the best of my ability, but found no such thread that I am trying to create. Also, I apologize if this thread is in the wrong section.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I will put the names of the two ROMs I have tried below:
Graviton ROM v1.6 (liked the layout, but WiFi wouldn't work)
Intika (looked cool, but it was cluttered with GOlauncher and similar apps, which I personally don't like)
Compatible roms listed in th OP of the safestrap Q&A
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428254
Question has been answered and link provided where to find the list. In the preemptive effort to stop this from becoming a free for all Best Rom thread I will be closing it. If the OP has any questions please feel free to PM me.

doing a google search before i ask a question? what a novel idea! im so glad there are people like you to show me the light.
This android version has been available for my phone literally less than 48 hours. There isnt a whole lot of information out there right now.
Not to mention that i always google search before posting here. And everytime i do, the most popular result is a thread with the first person to reply by saying "google it". Thanks for being that first dickwad :good:

I can see how hard it must be to scroll through first page of subforums. And if you look at the dates when were the posts created,
it shows how much you have tried / how little info was there to find.

You guys need to be a bit more respectful to others around here. There is no need to jump on someone for posting in the wrong section or asking a question that has already been covered. Next time, please just report the thread and move on. Let the Mod Team handle it.

I rooted the phone and now can't update to the latest version Oxygen 2.2.1 automatically
Is there any way around the problem?
If you have rooted your phone, you probably also have replaced the original recovery with twrp. In that case, just download the 2.2.1 ota zip from the ota thread in this forum and flash it manually in twrp.

Yes there is a way around: search. Because this question has been answered BILLION AND BILLION times. Even if you are a new to XDA, you should know there is rules. You should know there is a search bar located in top right of your screen. There is a index on this forum which gives you link to @Spannaa's thread where he groups all OTA and Stock ROMs + a tutorial to update when you're root. I gave you all information needed.

There is no need to be rude, I actually searched several pages before posting my question, as I was pretty sure the question had most likely been asked before. Certainly don't think it's been asked BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of times.
But thanks for your help, I will be sure to do a more THOROUGH search next time I think about posting

Buddy download the Signed flashable zip - Oxygen OS 2.2.1: OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_012_all_1602261837.zip from the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/rom-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3209863
Flash it via twrp or any other customer recovery that you may have. Post that you would have to flash supersu again.

I agree to him, you do not need to be rude, this community is about helping others so it is not a big deal if you typed the solution. If you look at it , it would have taken less less words than the long comments which you posted.
HOW THE HECK COULD YOU NOT FIND IT. You obviously didn't didn't search very hard my son
I concur,no way he searched.. it's always 1 of the 5 under OnePlus 2 general.
The fact that OP had his phone rooted indicates he probably has some basic knowledge of unlocking bootloader, flashing recoveries/ROMs..etc and therefore should be resourceful look up the solution himself be it on XDA or not. The point is with an easy, and somewhat obvious solution to such a common problem (tbh I too had this exact same issue when I first got the phone, but I knew then I had to do a manual flash) surely people will get frustrated when asked.

I agree we are here to help, but come on, a question that has been answered so many times, in many threads, doesn't deserves one more topic. It reminds me the fingerprints problem on CM13 when it didn't work yet: it was about 2 or 3 question about it per page: "is fingerprint working???", "does fingerprint working". Come on, there is search function, so why don't use it ? Imagine if we create a thread every time we have a problem with our device but this problem has already been solved. Imagine state of the forum after all those threads. And yeah, as said above, if this man as his phone rooted, well, I think he has some basics knowledge about OnePlus Two.
