Downgrading to stock 2.1 from Froyo, UK Nexus One

Hey all,
Been looking around for answers to this now, not finding any.
Is it possible, and easy, to downgrade back to the stock 2.1 ROM from Froyo? I've got a Stock N1 that i upgraded to Froyo. Now i hear that Google pulled the official file and i am thinking of going back to 2.1 until they push the 2.2 OTA.
Also, is there any difference between the UK stock 2.1 ROM and the US?
Appreciate any help, thanks.
Only if you root.

[Q] Restoring to 4.2.2 after upgrading to wanam3.1

Hey guys
I was wondering if after upgrading to wanamlite rom 3.1, which is android 4.3, i will be able to restore a backup i made on the sdcard through recovery of the former 4.2.2 version.
I currently have stock Android 4.2.2 ILO and i am thinking of upgrading to the new Wanamlite rom 3.1. If i do a backup through cwm recovery (is this what's called "nandroid" backup?), will i be able to restore it after the upgrade in a case of a problem or malfunction or if i am not satisfied?
I am asking you this because of the knox issue, that has been said it blocks downgrading.
Thanks
Alon
I am replying because this thread moved down to page 3 and no comments...
Please respond it seems like a pretty simple question for you guys...

[Q] Revert to Lollipop

Hey guys...
I have been running the official 3.0 beta for a week and now I want to revert to 2.2.1.
I know I have to downgrade TWRP (right?) but I find the posts a little clttered som I need a straight answer.
What do I need to go back? I would like to keep a modded recovery and I intend to root it afterwards.

just follow this tutorial and flash back your 2.2.1 rom and then flash SuperSU to root it
I read that one but I´m unsure that the recovery is a modded one (TWRP)... cause I wanna keep that. But from what I understand I have to flash an older TWRP for Lollipop?
Edit: Nevermind... I got it. Now I just have to find the Stock 2.2.1

About Rom Firmware required...

Hi guys, noob here. I'm looking to flash an Oreo rom, I'm currently on build 340. But most of the ROMs I am interested in require older firmware, like 323, 318
Is it necessary to downgrade in order to flash such roms? Thanks in advance...
