Is it possible to unlock a rooted and Froyo updated Vibrant?
It had never been unlocked before the update and the market app to get the unlock codes doesn't work...
I've talked to a guy who sells unlock codes and says once it's been upgraded he doesn't know of anyway to unlock it.
is it possible to still unlock it?
Thanks in advance!
I had luck with this one with a rooted froyo phone.
EDIT: Can't post links. It's possible though, I've done it.

[Q] UNLOCKING SAMSUNG galaxy S

I have a Samsung Vibrant and its asking for a sim network unlock pin, how do I unlock it?
Thanks
There are so many unlock threads in this forum, search for one.
There is a sgs unlock app which works for some people and better with root. There is also a windows based java tool.

10char????
know of any windows based tools that I can download?
I can't get the link right now but look for a thread that involves editing your nv_ files. It's easy and worked for me.
You can also call tmob and ask for an unlock code.

Uhm ... once rooted download the galaxy s unlock app. Its on the market and its updated for s2. just make sure you select the s2 tab in the app. the cf s2 unlock app might
Work but fir some of us it didn't.

Unlocking galaxy s and s2

Hi guys, I have the chance to buy new sgs2 but it is locked to the network that I am not using,so how hard is it to unlock the phone for someone who never rooted, ported or anything like that? Also I will give my sgs1 to my brother,so I have to unlock it too because we are not on the same network... also now on my sgs1 I am on 2.2.1 but it came with 2.1 ,And I can't upgrade it to 2.3.5 thru kies . So ,am I going to get the update when I unlock it from the network? Thanks

I'm pretty sure theres a free app on the market that will give you your unlock code if your phone is rooted. Not too sure about the galaxy s 2 but I think chainfire came up with some method for an unlock. Your probably best asking over the the sgs2 forum for an unlock.
