Ain't that an exciting time to be Canadian? For once, we get a high-end Android phone (high-end being an understatement in the Atrix case!) at the same time as south-of-the-border. Before CES, I was waiting for Telus' HTC Desire HD, but now, man, I'm getting my hands on the Atrix.

I've got my desire HD in october/november i m pretty happy with it,I think i ll be switching to the atrix when it comes out but only after trying it(waiting for htc annoucement for it dual core cpu phone), because of mainly 2 reasons:
1-Motoblur and software integration
2-community support! as HTC always had the best community support here..
Also i heard something about tegra 2 GPU being less powerfull than a SGX540 PowerVR or Adreno 205 while the next Dual core HTC will for sure have Adreno 220 which is supposed to be like 3x better than the 205 anyone got some info about this?
i hope it is at best buy and at&t stores in feb, i hate best buy
this no best buy this worst buy!
if not I might wait a month to get at at&t store.

You're right about HTC historically having better community support, though the hype is so high with the Atrix, and the "hacking/customization" possibilities are so awesome with the docking things and the pure power of that phone, I'm pretty sure it will have a huge and dynamic dev community. Locked bootloader or not.
There have been a lot of rumoured launch dates, like the 1st of March, late January and now the 13th of February. I hope that it will be the 13th of February, because then they have some time to find a solution for the "locked bootloader" issue and it's not too far away.

As mentioned in another thread the dock station is for 150$(it should be about the same price here in euros if we add the tax) which was a great surprise and a reason reconsider.
As for launch date here in France orange said the launch date would be somewhere around march and i think till then we will have a clear image and different tests and feedbacks from people in some regions that got to get it before the others
But Im still expecting HTC annoucement of it super future smartphone in WMC,i m pretty much expecting this platform , and it looks pretty much insane compared to tegra 2!

Finally I found a reason to switch from T-mobile to AT&T. I returned today my MT4G which is really a great device but the t-mobile service in San Diego sucks. Now I just have to survive with a Nokia prepaid phone until the Atrix is available. I hope it comes out mid of February. Can't wait

I had a Nexus S for 1 week. SAMOLED= not sharp, not bright and sucks battery like hell when you have a bright background. Just hype nothing else. I prefer SLCD.
Gyroscope? LOL I prefer gyros...very delicious;-)
Gingerbread? You mean this RC product that was released to the Nexus S? OMG I had so much fun with gingerbread....choppy homescreen swiping, choppy browser with or without flash...,no serious software support for FFC,
We can all agree that the Samsung Vibrant/Galaxy S is a really good phone and a really great phone when running a custom rom. My question is what is next for you guy, as far as phones goes. What new upcoming phone will you guys get in the near future?
So far number one on my list of my next phones is the LG Optimus 2x, but is that can when Galaxy S 2 and the rumored LG 3D phone is announces. Most likely I will go with the Galaxy S 2. Why you ask? 1. TOUCHWIZ, I think Touchwiz is the best thing that every happen to a smartphone. 2. Odin, Odin practically made the Vibrant unbreakable. 3. Super Amoled Display, I can never look at another screen the same again after seeing super amoled, plus the Galaxy S 2 is said to have Super Amoled Plus Display sigh crazy!!!
I too am leaning toward the LG Optimus 2X but would opt for the Galaxy S 2 if it was coming out in the next couple of months. Have not heard nor read any real timeline for the Galaxy S 2. I also really like Twiz. I have had some hard feelings toward Samsung but I also like Odin and how it makes the phone much easier(or more comfortable) to mess with. I had pretty much decided to never purchase Samsung again but upon looking at the overall picture I feel it is the best decision for me at this time. I had a MT4G and even though I got it rooted and flashed a nice rom I never really felt comfortable playing with it. Sent it back.. Nice phone though.
LG Optimus 2X is mine, I am simply waiting on it right now. But I will NOT buy any phone that does not have the operating system I want and wait for it to come out. If the Optimus 2X does not come with gingerbread, no dice. That way I can flash some cool custom roms just for fun not cos I need the new OS
Seems like I made the right decision to not but the Galaxy Tab, will be getting the G-Slate to go along with it the Optimus2X, scary crap but I am going to be an LG guy (minus the TV)
Edit, after much thought and playing around with phones, watching youtube videos of different phones etc etc, I have decided I will stick to Google phones, ie Nexus line of phones. I really do not need much more than the 16gig it comes with, I hardly use the bluetooth anyway, and it is still faster than the current flock of dual core phones out there now...yep nexus S is my next phone. Even the Nexus one is beating phones that are a year newer at performing basic tasks fast and efficiently
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0e5z6vvf0A&feature=related for eg for the Nexus S
Grant it, i've had hard feelings towards samsung, I'll probably end up with another samsung phone. If not, I would go back to being a Symbian Developer once again with custom Symbians for Nokia. I was, maybe still am, a Nokia die hard. I love their simplicity and all of my Nokia's lasted years.
And Samsung is the closest to what I like on a phone. Customizable, ease of use, and their hardware configuration is so simple and very nice.
So yah...
As much as I am a believer in budget is relative, buy it if you can afford it, I still don't see why anyone buys a phone cause its the "next big thing". Hype and marketing will always tug at the trendy or the ppl who are "in the know" harder then reality or common sense.
Examples span from the the galaxy s Series being released, the G1 being the iphone killer, and more recently the X2 being short of expectations per the review just put out by engadget. Now I'm not saying that the following examples didn't take a turn for the better, if not the best, but electronics and the future is almost an oxymoron. You usually are never using the final product, but more like beta testing for the next best thing. It's an endless trap of gratification vs. $/phone.
As I was one who has gone through the ranks of the G1 and a vibrant, and I Love my vibrant, but Ill still just wait till xxx phone comes out late this year and get it for free on a full upgrade after its been out for 6 months and has tons of roms and the kinks rubbed out of it, lol.
/talking myself out of buying another toy hahaha
I'm going to stick to vibrant and wait for multiple dual cores to come out. Then hit the Craig when the price is lowest :b dun really wanna switch again... went through so many phones in last 4 -5months.
Samsung highlight/ iPhone 3gs/ Samsung vibrant / HTC g2/ nexus one / mytouch 4g/ and back to vibrant again.. should have never abandoned the vibrant in the first place lol.
Learned mylesson. Don't buy the first batch

Sounds like you need a Nokia N8.
But i think im most likely gonna go with the Optimus 2x. That Dual-Core processor sounds promising.
they said the benchmarks on it are insane
http://www.intomobile.com/2011/01/31/lg-optimus-2x-star-dual-core-tegra-2-fully-benchmarked/
instead of spending my easily earned money on another phone when this current phone is perfectly fine, I am going to get some custom timberland boots!!
From what i have heard, performance increase is not that much with any phone that is not running honeycomb or higher. The OS can only utilize one core, so the main reason anyone would want to get the lg optimus should be for gaming, and lets face it, android games aren't that hw demanding or nice !!

Anyway, that's what i'm waiting for, a dual core, and simplicity.
Funny, I can afford to buy any phone anytime, that said i love this phone and am waiting for the same reason ndwgs said. Dual Core, my next buy will probably be the xoom tablet... then the Dual core, S2 or maybe Atris..... not sure

Meh, as unhappy as I've been with the small amounts of great ROMS, and lack of Sense so far, I'm keeping this phone. Over the lasy year I've gone through six phones. Moto Cliq-myTouch-Blackberry Bold-iPhone 3G-myTouch-Vibrant. I was never truly happy with a device until this one. So I'll be waiting quite a qhile before getting a new one.
Either the Glaxy S2 or the HTC Pyramid. I can't wait for MWC to start
I will never buy a samsung phone again, but I heard that the nokia e7 is shipping now and the keyboard on that thing is gorgeous, not to mention the camera with dual led flash. If I were to buy a phone today it would be that one. I'd probably go through some minor flashing withdraw but I'd get over it.

To the op try using this rom im using now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935799 its a suped up version of touchwiz ^^
and on the topic i would skip the lg 2x and prolly get the galaxy s2 for my next upgrade, mostly because i dont want a smaller screen. Hopefully by then they will solve the whole timely update problems, which they said recently while releasing the "official 2.2" <-(piece of sh*t btw) that they will work harder to provide updates on a timely matter.
Heh, I'm going to wait until the second wave of dual-core phones come out, probably by this holiday season. Why? They'll be more mature and ship with 2.4 stock, which is what you'll need to actually take advantage of those dual cores. And by then we'll know which chipsets have the best performance and battery life (Tegra 2 isn't all that impressive just yet).

I see in your sig that you got a Rom coming soon?? I wan't to have a hands-on on that baby... No pressure. LOL
Galaxy S II the envied one.
How many of you here have noticed the tides change. This phone is really the hottest phone on the planet right now. I remember a couple months back how everyone was talking about the sensation/ evo3d, optimus 2x and 3d, people were in love with tegra 2 and in a couple months it becomes the fastest phone with best screen anyone has used according to many reputable gadget sites and blogs. How many people think this is the hottest phone this year? It has destroyed all other dual core competition in the android arena. Do you think this is going to be the first huge hit for android world wide? How many think GSII has pushed android to aa whole new level?!
Hail SGS2.

Well,it has taken Android to new heights, that's for sure. But wait,we still have a long way to go.

Right now it could be the best one but we still have 6 months to go. There is iPhone 5 looming around the corner. Lets wait and see what they have to bring to the table. Although I am Android till the end it is still always nice to see what Apple has to bring because they quite often bring something new and "revolutionary" to the competition.
SGS2 is good but it is kind of like "just" beefed up and perfected version of SGS.
It is actually quite interesting with Android phones because there doesn't seem to be anything new and great coming. Although I am suspecting that for christmas sales there must be something great
SGS2 is a fine piece of kit and a great advert for how good Android can be. The only thorn in the side for me is the silly Tegra fragmentation - and gaming is where the SGS2 could really shine due to the screen and cpu grunt. I know we have Chainfire but it's not the same.
Funny thing is I dislike all things Apple but I can see myself getting the next iPhone.
It's definitely a very good phone. Yes, and it's surely the best dual-core out there. Like someone mentioned, Apple will launch their version of dual core soon. We will wait and see how that goes. I have a feeling that the Apple going to use the Arc camera module.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/02/sony-ceo-casually-mentions-hes-supplying-cameras-to-apple/
I think SGS3 would be launched around Q1 2012 (speculation and some rumors in the internet) http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/30/samsung-teases-4g-tablet-for-2011-galaxy-s-iii-in-first-half-of/
I am expecting the SGS3 to have the super-duper-uber screen from the new OLED plant that Samsung just got operational and sort out some of the issues with GS2. GS2 rectified some of the issues with SGS - like GPS, Pentile matrix, not-so-good TW3 and improved on their strong points - hardware. GS3 "should" be something revolutionary.
I believe that GS3 will be something which would totally blow the market away. Sammy had already shown they can make great dual core device. That would (imho) represent a crowning glory.
i have never understood how people call thing best of the year since we are only half way through it..
Its like when i hear ads on the radio..Fast Five: "BEST MOVIE THIS YEAR".... 1month later X-Men First Class: "BEST MOVIE THIS YEAR"
.. and when transformers 3 comes out.. i will hear the same thing.
but yeah.. i would say SGSII is the best phone out right now.. but not best of the year..
Phone truly does take Android to new heights. First real phone that combats the iPhone's "smoothness" or fluidity, not to mention it looks stunning!
If other phones follow in its footsteps...Android will reign supreme!
And I think it is definitely the best phone of the year, hands-down - seeing as 3D is still (mainly) viewed as a gimmick (plus they're really fat)
HAVING SAID THAT, I'm excluding the Nexus 3/4G and whichever OTHER quad-core devices that are coming this fall. But I imagine quad-core will mainly be the "topic" of 2012, as dual-core has been for 2011.
and like i said.. we still have 6months of the year left.. how can any one say this is the best phone of 2011?

Because people know, what is coming out. Films aren't like phone. Few phones come out, that can ever contend for the best phone of the year.
There aren't meant to be any big releases now, until the end of the year, in which there's no point in saying "BEST PHONE FOR 2011!" (for a month of two) as we move into 2012.
Lots of time left this year indeed. But is there anything really big on the horizon, except for next iPhone? And this phone is called one of the more "future proof" ones. Lets see what the times bring...
SGSII is the best so far
I don't see anyone pushing out anything better. The next iphone might be a worthy contender, but don't forget, it still has iOS *shudders*

+1. the only contenders are the iPhone 5 (but the whole iOS Android think, kinda separates the two)
and the Nexus 3. If rumoured to have a 720p, 4.3"/4.5" display AND a quad-core KAL-EL - that will be the phone of the year for 2011 (or what's left of it) and 2012....until the S3/HTC's equivelant.
But there's no point crowning a phone, phone of the year, for 2 months. :/
Don't get me wrong, i love my Samsung Galaxy S 2, the specs and tests might recommend it as the best device of the year, until now, but i have another top in mind: "2011 dual-processor smartphone with the fewest flaws". Maybe someone collects all the weak spots of S 2, Optimus 2x and Sensation and makes a non-biased comparison to see which device wins from this point of view. Although i think S 2 was the best choice for me, it's still far from my concept of a perfect phone.
3 of my friends wer so impressed they jumped ship two from iphone 4 and one from nokia n8 and we all have this phone more of my mates are going to get it when ther upgrade is due

Doesn't matter if a better phone comes out, the SGS2 is a significant milestone. The iPhone was a "phone of the year" kind of phone, and so was the Blackberry before that. Were the iPhone 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. "phone's of the year"? No, not really. SGS2 is where all the most important pieces came together for Android - processor, display, system integration, 3rd part apps, to where out of the box, it is a powerful tool, it SOLVES THE PROBLEM. There will be better phones on the horizon, but the SGS2 is the phone, like the Blackberry and iPhone, that redefined the industry.
The Sensation is possibly the most comparable phone to the SGS2 at the moment and seems to be getting a lot of attention. Some would say the HTC is better. To my eyes, it's ugly sitting next to the slim, sleek lines of the SGS2.

Ok I purchased the evo3d on launch day, but I am not satisfied with it at all, now my disclaimer I HATE SAMSUNG but it was due to the old samsung phones A460, A600, A660. The Sprint epic had so many problems that i only had it for 4 days then returned it. I said a long time ago I would never buy a samsung phone again. Well I think i might have lied. Im seriously am thinking of buying the new Sprint within aka SGS2 with it launches in aug. I have been a HTC user for 8 years since the 6600 but Im so dissatisfied in the performance of the evo3d and htc with its locked bootloaders. Now the one thing I might have to give up is sense I will miss it but Im hearing good things about this exynos chip on the sgs2. I need someone to assure me that the problems with the epic will not be in the sgs2 like micro sd problems or black screen of death or bluetooth dropping in and out or the major one GPS issues. I have to make up my mind in the next 48 hours. Can any one really offer some real information to help my situation. I dont need fanboy help, I need real input. I told myself I wouldnt come to the dark side but Vader is calling me.
Sound like me man LOL.... Only thing is, there will be no exynos CPU in the US versions....been confirmed in the fcc filings. Now that could change I suppose. But as of now, they will have tegra 2 chips

HTC will unlock its bootloaders in September. Yesterday I got in a cloudburst, my phone got really wet and behaves strangely. I will buy an evo 3d if my sgs2 dies. I really do miss sense a lot.I think in the end software experience is more important than pure raw hardware power.
Btw I had a samsung non-smartphone before and I hated it and said to myself I would never buy a samsung again but the sgs2 is a very good phone though even though I still prefer sense

You have to look at this way. Every comment on this board is about the international SGS2 (GT-i9100). The original SGS1 (GT-i9000) didn't have anywhere near the problems of the basterdized versions that had pretty drastic hardware and software changes as demanded by the four U.S. carriers. The GT-i9000 was updated to 2.3.4 about two weeks ago and received regular updates along the way. Most of which were ignored by the U.S. carriers pissing people off who then blamed Samsung.
Sprint may have ordered a bunch of changes to the SGS2 for their version. From the leaked pics the back of the phone is different, the corners look rounder, and it appears to be thicker. Regadless, it's a CDMA/Wi-Max phone so it'll have little in common with the GSM international version. You'll be dependent on Sprint for updates, features of the international version may be gone or replaced, and you won't be able to flash international ROMs.
So until the phone's actually out, it's hard to say how much Sprint molestation was done to it. The fundamentals will be solid like the display, processor, and camera. But things like call quality, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS may be different because of the different radio(s).
It could be another Epic or Sprint could leave the phone basically alone except for what had to be changed to support CDMA/Wi-Max. Until it's out, no one will know.
I returned my Evo 3d 2 days ago. The next day I hear that the devs have gotten s-off. Oh well, anyway, I am going to wait till the Within comes out. And see how it is. Then if I don't like it, I will go back to the 3d, or some other phone. Just hope it comes out soon. Went back to a Palm pre, and it is killing me!
E3d...falls short compared to expectations. You'll know in 10 minutes its no contest.
I use Launcher Pro...makes it even faster.
Anyone have hands on with performances on these two different chips? Wouldn't imagine you'd detect much on this device?
Thanks for everyones feedback but if the u.s version is tegra 2 then i might keep my evo3d I might have to sell my evo3d on craigslist and wait past my 30 days, which is up Saturday and Im really disappointed in the evo3d but im so so so scared of a samsung device although the more i see it the more I might make the jump. decisions decisions. From all of my research the tegra 2 is the least of the three,(exynos,msm8660,tegra 2) all 1.2's can anyone speak on the chips in the non-exynos sgs2's
If you like rooting and Custom Roms and are a general XDA user i'd never buy a completely new phone when you dont know anything about it and if its gonna have root and stuff^^
I havent had the evo3d in hands because its not out in my country but i tested the SGS2 and the Sensation alot. So i have to emphasize this is my PERSONAL opinion
I have a DesireHD. I love it. It has gotten some bad reviews in the beginning when it first came out especially about battery life. Now with custom roms based on 2.3.3 it lasts me 2days and the UI is 100% smooth. But the bad reviews still stick i think...
To come to your decision, all 3 phones (sgs2, evo3d, sensation) are very new and still have problems. The sensation looks very nice but the one i tested was quite laggy. Sense 3d ran better on my DHD than on the sensation... I tried it side by side in the store, and still has locked bootloader - but HTC will unlock it so in a few months the Sensation maybe has awesome custom roms. Its too early to tell.
SGS2, nice phone hardware wise, but most ugly and useless software that i tried based on Android. When you're used to sense it just gives you nothing And when you're used to beautiful clear shiny SLCD screens you'll maybe have some problems with the OLED from the sgs2. The model i had in hand looked aweful compared to my DHD, the colors just arent right. There may be better ones but for me white white is much more important than black black. If that makes sense^^
About the chip: The sgs2 exynox is a powerful chip. But software does not really support it atm. For example Gameloft games. At least tegra2 has some cool games... I prefer qualcomm chip based phones - there i know i'll have compatibility.
So in my opinion the new dualcore phones do not have ANY advantage over singlecore 1ghz phones ATM (ok hdmi out is nice to have ). Who knows what will be in half a year when the software is better for the dualcore babies. But now? But these are just my thoughts.
I guess SGS2 will have good custom software faster than any other phone because of its popularity. If you can find one with a good screen and nice colors i guess go for it

You mean 1080p Adobe Flash video?
What I don't like about LCD is that it can't display black, but OLED can display all colors.
Any heavy complex multitasking condition on a device proves the value of dual core.
First, I want to clear some things up here..

Sound like me man LOL.... Only thing is, there will be no exynos CPU in the US versions....been confirmed in the fcc filings. Now that could change I suppose. But as of now, they will have tegra 2 chips

I believe you are refering to this article: http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/06/another-galaxy-s-ii-passes-through-the-fcc-possibly-rockin-a-t/ (or another article on a different site).
If you look at the model number closely, you will see that the Tegra 2 phone that you are talking about has the model number GT-I9103. This is not the US galaxy SII. It is the Galaxy Z, the more "affordable little brother." (http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/01/samsung-galaxy-z-galaxy-s-iis-affordable-little-brother-now/).
I'm not confirming that the US varieties of the SGSII will not have Tegra 2s, but I'm saying that there was no confirmations of US SGSIIs having Tegra 2s in the first place.

From the Epic forums, some people are saying that the leaked picture wasn't the Galaxy SII (within), but it is the Sprint's version of the Infuse. But I have no sources for this one.
Anyways, personally, I recommend that you hold out until the Galaxy SII for Sprint comes out. On paper, the SGSII beats the Evo 3D in almost every spec criteria. HTC has better support and more timely updates though.
But I'm waiting for the Within.
Alright everyone, you knew it was coming sooner or later so here it is.
There are a lot of people looking for the next upgrade and still unsure of which way to go. With the recent announcement of the Galaxy S Blaze for T-Mobile we all have yet another upgrade choice. So let's all have fun with and put in your input on this new device or simply say which path you are going to go for upgrade.
Quick rundown of what the known and rumored stats are.
1.5Ghz Dual Core Snapdragon S3
42Mbps capable radio
SAMOLED+ screen (rumored to be 720p)
1GB of Ram
SD Card capable (up to 32GB)
Android 2.3.7 (rumored)
At this point I still really want a Nexus but at this rate the GSM US version won't come out to any Carrier before 2nd half of the year at the earliest and if the Blaze has the same screen size it will be a faster Nexus and will be a good competition, aside form having to wait for T-mob for Software updates.
For me the HTC Amaze is not even considerable because of the display and bootloader locking on it. I also don't want the qHD resolution when I can easily get a full 720p display.
I have been debating the Galaxy SII. The two things on this phone that put me off are the low screen res and the display quality issues many have had issues with.
After the Global Mobile Device Conference the Blaze's full specs are supposed to be out and I will wait for that to make a final decision. With preliminary specs this will be my device of choice, unless the GSM GNex comes out for the US with warranty.
This is more of "when do I qualify for an upgrade" so it kind of pertains to the Galaxy S Blaze. Just some information for those who picked up the Vibrant on launch day (July 15th, 2010), signed a two year contract, and hasn't use their upgrade since.
Source: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1681
Early Upgrade:
12 - 17 months since last upgrade (July 2011 - December 2011)
Early Upgrade Plus:
18 - 21 months since last upgrade (January 2012 - April 2012)
Same as New:
22 - 24 months since last upgrade (May 2012 - July 2012)
After July 15th, you're free to leave T-Mobile.
The tiered discounts are percentage based (I think) so discounts vary from phone to phone. The best way to find out is to log into your T-Mobile account online. I'm going to wait until May to use my upgrade to get a full discount. Unless I decide to leave T-Mobile, but I do have 5 lines and no one can come close to T-Mobile's prices.
I forgot to Mention, I will be using the upgrade for my Wife's phone as hers has been up for a few months now. Since she does not care about getting the latest greatest and the Vibe will be a major upgrade for her, I get to upgrade phones more often if desired than the regular 2 year.
Wished I was that fortunate, but my wife claims she needs a good camera phone for her blog and Facebook updates (she has the MyTouch 4G Slide).
I am hoping to pick up SG2 for $0 when i am eligible for upgrade in June.
I got my Vibrant launch week (upgrading from a G1 I got on launch day in 2008). I'll wait and see what the specs are for the Blaze (screen size, etc). I can't see going back to Gingerbread after running ICS on the Vibrant though, so the Blaze would have to be running ICS before I would even consider it.
I had thought I would be in a rush to upgrade as soon as I was eligible for a full upgrade, but as well as ICS is running on my phone now, I don't feel as much need to do it. I'll wait for something really good. Whether that's the Blaze, the SGS III, or something else, I don't know yet.
I have my upgrade right now and I'm still considering whether to get the SGS 2 or wait for the Blaze
The Vibrant will last me just fine until the SGSIII.

Of course T-Mobile will get the GS3. They will get it about 1 full year after Euro Release and at least 3 months after the rest of the US carriers. At least if the GS2 and now GNex are any indication of how things are going for T-Mobile phones nowadays.
I can't go back to Gingerbread either. ICS is way too awesome. Battery life is a day and a half, and ICS Passion is smooth as butter.
This phone has awesome hardware, but I am NEVER buying a carrier locked phone or going into a contract ever, ever again.
TMobile will not support our phones with upgrades past a few months. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...
Couldn't agree more.

Well, Blaze details are out now. Gingerbread and a 4" Super AMOLED screen means its a no-go for me. This is looking like a mid-range phone in today's market.

Not necessarily. It's basically an SGSII with a smaller screen and faster processor, which means it's going to be a speed demon of a phone, with a high res screen. I think it seems like a pretty great option, and I am not going to rule it out yet. Regardless, definitely upper-end.
Any word on y/n for a camera flash? I need one of those on my next phone.

Im gonna be staying away from this one too disimilar to the international versions and so likely not as strong of a dev community as we see here.
I thought the g2x would be a speed demon too with a dual core processor and vanilla gb. And it sucked.
I'll be on vibrant until something really legit comes out with jelly bean or something.

JB will be a Tablet release like Honeycomb was.
Also the Blaze does not have an HD screen it will have a duplicate screen to the Vibrant. 800x480 with same dpi and everything, except it will be a touch smaller, by .1 inch
I really hope the T999 comes out soon and will have a 4.3+ inch screen. So far so stats look better on that little diddy.

No Trolling,
There was a quite a bit of scuttlebutt on the internet about the SGH-T999. Many thought it was going to the Galaxy S Blaze but now it is obviously not.
Here is one of the many links referring to the UA profile found somewhere on Samsung's site. Here is a link to the news story. http://www.tmonews.com/2012/01/what...-t999/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook
Here is a bit of news about the FAA wi-fi certification for the same.
