This version is a Vanilla release. It means that comes very clean just keeping what I consider basic and useful. You guys are free to install whatever you want!
There are two V6 variations:
- With icon size reduced (4 rows)
- Without Icon size reduction (Stopped)
General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- Remove SD card before update!
- Before asking, attention to details
- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
Installation:
How to install a cooked ROM.
Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run Polaris_CustomRUU.exe and good luck.
- High recommend to reflash an official rom before flash this one.
- If you change some thing, you have to wait for a minute before restarting to make sure the device get your changes.
- Last but not least....again, do not ask me why I did not put such app or why I chose this or that. If you feel like I am missing something cool or left an application behind...PM a message with such suggestions. No problem.

I have up this ROM (very tire because there are many Roms!)
At first, i would like to say: this Rom is fast and stable (even on compare with PDAVIET v17).
Only one things: there is not same style (interface)
- Phone Pad, Audio Manager: touch style (black color)
- Windows Media, HTC Home, Conn Manager: Diamond style (white color)

Search UDK's Custom RUU

Hi...great rom..thanks for the great job. Few things to say : I always have the clock on the title bar despite the fact I turned it off...I'm not sure to like the fonts used...I prefer the original one, but yeah it's personnal. Then the Teeter games doesn't work, I 'v a message "the file Labyrinth cannot be opened". May be few things to ad, TCPMP, and a ...Sudoku..please !

looks good, but i have a couple of questions before i fash it, im currently using uDK Vega R1 (not R2) as i like to have the smaller start menu and small taskbar. is this working in the rom? also has anyone found any issues with tomtom with the rom as i use it a lot for navigation.

- HTC Home Customizer doesn't seem to work (crash)
- The Diamond Keyboard only has 2 of the 3 styles available ("Keyboard" and "Keypad" but not the "Qwerty" one)
- In some applications you can only enter numbers with the keyboard, no letters (i.e. Note / One Note). This seems to be a common problem and not specific to your Rom, but it's highly annoying.

Home customizer is actually running on mine. Are you able to open it or crash prior that? I realized that although you can change settings, some of the icons like beam one is not shown. That's what I'm gonna look in...
Issues with Diamond SIPs are really annoying I confess. I had that issue in UdK also. No clues yet...but I'll try work around...

It works! Just go settings/enable large start menu and disable it! You'll have the way you like back to normal.

ok thats brilliant, now to find out if tomtom behaves with the rom
also, im aware that this is only a beta rom but i tend to customise my handsets hevily with third party apps

I'd like to help you out making some language generations of my ROM but have no time to do that. I started a project like this in the past but had to stop.
So, do not expect some variations at this moment specially clean ones. I want first correct bugs in 5.0 to then start thinking something new....maybe a Vanilla but I always put what I think is basic and needed in terms of our day-to-day routines!

You will experience that after flashing and booting up, the system will "hang" just let the device rest 20-30 sec before operating it.
after configuring, do a soft reset.
The system will stabilize, and be very fast and responsive

not entirly true, because I have used that version, and the problem is still there
I use a newer version now, but obviously same issue is present.
But for some reason my wwe version dont have this issue.

ill try it, but in the wwe version it all works fine, no lag or hanging

when you hang up a call, it says "Redial".. you forgot to translate it!
Getting anywhere with the scrolling problem?
Everything else is working fine yet!

one more "problem".. when Im typing a sms message, the touch diamond keypad buttons don't show that the are being pressed. They only do that if I hold the button down for a long time! Your previous touch-it release didn't hva this problem! (If it even is a problem? Or is it supposed to be like this?)
It shows that it is being pressed when I press the ABC T9 button!

i have not translated, im using language files from norwegian rom so if there is a language problem, then its there from htc's side
have you chosen norwegian as default language in keyboard option? cause it works fine for me.
and maybe try to select norwegian in instillinger/regionale instillinger?

see also bottom of my first post, there is a link to language cab files for diamond keyboard, perhaps installing the norwegian keyboard cab the issues might be solved.

Great ROM
This is the fastest 6.1 ROM I've tried yet. But you really need to fix that hang that always occurs after a soft reset. It happens when I click the top menu bar (either start menu, taskbar icon or something similar). Then total freeze for 20-30 seconds. But after that it's blazing fast and so far totally stable.
Missing jbed java runtime, but that I can always install myself. I'm missing the cube though. I was a keen "cuber" and wonder what is the quickest way to re-enable it?
Also, quick contacts on the today screen in the home plugin does not seem to work (probably because you have removed the cube).

1. working with it. But to me the advantage with this build outweights the minus (hanging issue) I solved it in wwe version, but same "fix" didnt work with this..but as I said, im working on it
2. one of the reasons its fast is because cube is removed, so depends on what you want but if u want cube, you need to install a cab...
3. that quick contacts in htc home is not workin, has nothing to do with the cube is gone, It has with registry settings beeing diffrent somehow, I will look into it.

After installing so I decided to reisntall another ROM because this one is freezing and can not make a connection with PC.
May the writer making the ROM more stable and functional so can be installed again.

did you read anything from the 1st post?
besides, connection to pc? Im using this rom, its a released rom of my personal rom, and Im syncing it almost everyday.
the rom is very stable, the hanging issue with this buildversion is common, but acceptable due to its stability and speed.

edit: rom is really fast. It opens pages in menu almost instantly.impressing
but i have problem with win media player, which doesnt want to play files.other things seems to work flawless.

Yeah, thats the plan. Maybe other languages too, but I will think more on that, cause its not easy to support roms with a language I dont understand
But I have found the build I wanna work more on (current one) and when I have sorted out what I can of "bugs & glitches" I will make a norwegian version

Shut down problem
It looks like this version has the sme problem with the shutdown. When you power off, it is in standyby mode. When you power back on it has to be soft reset to get the carrier. Is there a fix?

Once again great rom. Can't see any obvious differences from previous release as all bugs still exist.

1. I dont have any freezes at all, need more feedback from others.

mm,there is quite some changes in this build, but you might not see them all as many are regsettings.
But there is some improvements on diff graphics, like dialer.
I added also the apps that ppl requested, like quick gps and fm radio.

You are right and sorry. Am most gratefull about your great rom and it is not in my intention to insult you at all. ( Am always very anxious when reporting problems that I might be misunderstood)
Am having an issue with quickgps not connecting and can't save the changes in options. Is anyone having the same problems ?

Missing battery icon
Thank you, this is my best rom ever! (I have flashed my polaris 5 times)
Just wondering if where is the battery icon, can you (or me ) somehow put back?
For me it's annoying that I don't know when to chargem only informed by the low battery notification. Or I have to go manually into Power Management menu, which I found uncomfortable.
anyway, My respect for all your work, it is really a great one!!!

Yes, some of the images/buttons are still blue. That is an issue that many ppl are working on. If they are converted, they will not show...So I guess its up to you if you want them there (blue) or I take them away

There is a fix for BETA2, its only graphics (background on taskmanager and startmenu)
download from attachments, unzip, copy to your sd card (or where you want) use total commander to copy them to windows dir, soft reset.

I like this build 19,965, the latest 3.13.405.33 seems that they are not very stable

on the first boot you have to wait 1 or 2 mins

Something has gone wrong me, I get the screen displaced

For the screen alignment, no need to do hard reset again. Just press power button on top to switch off, and press power button again to switch on.

as I said in first post, just try the power button. Press a quick one, to turn off display, turn it back on and screen is set to normal.
BUT, a hard reset is always recommended after flashing a new rom...

no problem amigo

i have found some bugs:
- if you change manila 2d settings you will loose the settings tab...
- if you set high quality in youtube videos you will get graphics errors
- when you are going to answer a sms using the phonepad you can only write numbers until you open and close the keyboard settings
- can't run some games, they crash immediately
You shold work back to back with udk! you togheter could make a perfect rom , you corrected many bugs from udk r0 but it seems that you have introduced some new ones.
Anyway it is a very very good work, thank you very much!
p.s: this rom seems to be lighter than syrius R0! (50% ram vs 60%)

Hi, if the auto-focus of camera in this rom can work fine? I just tried udk's r0 a couple of days ago, but the auto-focus didnot work. So now I am still using udk's r8. r8 is a great rom but I cannot wait using new officail radio 1.59.42.15 which is not supported by r8. I think this rom is supporting 1.59.42.15 radio. But before I flash my Polaris, I want to confirm that most functions can work well. Thx.

This is a mixture of OEM apps from Raphael Opal Jade and Blackstone everything that was not VGA depentant I've taken from Blackstone
the HTC Acount Manager looks like it's a part of some future plans by HTC for now it lets you log into Youtube but there are images for facebook so that must come soon
JETCET printer is also from Blackstone and looks like it a further development of the BTBPP but with much more options.

This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

I've also fixed the Battery indicator in the taskbar
Removed iContacts there is a newer version that anyone can install if they like
for now I've added 2 Camera albums Why?
The default album is the one from Jade and works as it should
the second is from Blacksatone and the folder preview (with all pictures is a bit messed but single picture preview is perfect but only portrate) but this one has the option to upload pictures to Facebook and video to Youtube. I'm shure there will be a fix for this soon
I've called the Blackstone version Album Uploader. I've uploaded 2 pictures to my facebook so I know it works

this is an offical build from Blackstone the other was a leaked beta and this one has more apps

Thanks gullum about the "large fonts" tip and how to reduce their size using the supplied configuration manager. Also, I am not one for custom "boot up" screens but yours is wicked, I am converted.

What radio do you have ?
I use the 1.59.44.02 could be a radio problem

Battery/Charge indicator
Thanks for this new rom.
Tested the beta and was happy with that but this one looks more complete and in regards to speed and response for me much better.
Have however still the same problem with the battery/charge indicator.
On the main screen the battery indicator doesn't change.
When battery empty it still shows full and while on the charger also no change.
Anybody any idea or tip?

this is also killing me because I have the same problem on my Nike rom but with all my other devices the inticator works as it should.
Maybe polaris and nike have something differant ?
