For people having issues with the proximity sensor (eg. not turning on/off while in a call)
there is a toppic at modaco with a calibration procedure that seemed work nicely to everyone.
http://android.modaco.com/content/z...-sensor-not-working-screen-wont-come-back-on/
basically you should go to the dialer and dial *983*0#
test your light and proximity sensors and then the calibration button

According to the Leo/Linux status wiki (http://htc-linux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Leo/Status) the Ambient Light Sensor is still not working properly.
That would explain why auto backlight adjustment does not work.
However, when in the phone screen the light sensor seems to work in that the screen goes dark when I cover the light sensor, as expected.
So I am curious as to the status of this regarding auto backlight specifically, does anyone have any more concrete info?
Perhaps there are separate light sensors? Or perhaps the light sensor only works in a limited fashion for the time being?
Just curious, not complaining
(P.S. the free "Battery Level" widget from the Market has worked well for me in the absence of auto backlight adjustment, in case others find it useful)
well there's a proximity sensor on the phone that comes into play while you are in an active call. it disables the back as you put the phone to your ear. you were simply simulating that action by covering the sensor with your hand.
Ah ok! Thats what the proximity sensor is. That is indeed marked as working on the status wiki, so that makes sense.
Thanks!
Just like title, Note3 proximity sensor is dead, the screen keep light during calls,I checked as follow:
put *#0*# ,
proximity sensor
proximity:0.0 ADC:0(0.0.0)
TSP color ID:01
Lights Sensor
light sensor:0 lux
light sensor: 0,0,0,0,0,0,(R,G,B,W)
Put *#7353# proximity sensor
proximity sensor was display "release"
light sensor was display "1"
what's wrong with it
And I did try to fix the phone
1) Default setting reset -> nothing
2) Factory reset -> nope
3) Can air -> nope
4) I change the new lights sensor -> nope
Ok guys my question is this, when i have knockon enabled, if i am covering the proximity sensor, the screen does not turn on. So, am i right to assume that this phone has the proximity sensor always on when knock on is enabled?
That would also mean that using apps with pocket mode(meaning they use the proximity sensor to turn on the screen automatically when you remove the phone from pocket) would have absolutely no extra battery drain because the proximity sensor is already always on. Am i correct?
Got the digitize r replaced for lg g2 d802
since then, proximity sensor n light sensor are not working properly.. i lost the automatic brightness feature n whenever i make a call the screen turns off n doesnt turn on until the other person ends the call..
found a way to disable proximity sensor but it needs xposed..
m on Dirty unicorns rom n Xposed makes it unstable..
anyone knows any other software way to Disable Proximity sensor ?????
My screen is staying on when I hold it to my cheek on a call. Is there a setting I'm not seeing to turn on the proximity sensor? Shouldn't the screen go black in that situation?
I would Suggest downloading a proximity screen off app and test if sensor is working fine...
