Hey I know there are a few guides on using this app,but could someone make a video guide on how to use it? I really want to know what I'm doing before I buy this app. I have no dev experience whatsoever lol. It would be much appreciated!
Garret from droidninja.com has a 9:50 video on you tube. Just search for ninjamorph. I watched it and was able to put a flip screen mod on my D2 w/Squidly rom. I think I have a user guide for it somewhere I downloaded but it isn't near as much help as watching that video is gonna be.

Could you elaborate on the "HQ"? Is that an app or option on the phone? Please pardon my lack of knowledge! Thanks!
No its on the app itself, open youtube press the menu button, check the first one(enable high quallity, something like that)

I put up a post about this a while back, but the thread kinda died. I tried out Cyanogenmod 7 recently and as we all know...they only have nightly versions. Nothing stable. When I tried it I liked everything EXCEPT the fact that I couldn't view my old videos. I'm not just talking about old videos taken with my blur camera. I'm talking about REALLY old videos that I took over the years with older phones. Anyway, I wanted to know if there's a fix for this. Please let me know bc I REALLY like the other aspects of CM 7. Thanks!

Haha double pasted this link lol... this is a link to vlc media player alpha, with this installed on my DX I can play all old blur videos and multiple different file types that CM7 wouldn't play, not sure but I bet it'll play your old .3gp files as well. Make sure to follow the instructions on their site to determine if your processor is neon or not, my DX and SGT are both neon, but yours may be different...

Well, I just tried it out on my stock rom before trying cyanogenmod again and vlc player wouldn't play sound on my REALLY old videos. The newer stuff would play though. Ugh....I still need a better solution to this. :-/

You might have to convert your really old 3gp's to a different format... will the stock rom play them with any player?
Sent from my SGT running CM7
There are many other third party players you can try. Rockplayer and mxplayer come to mind. Worth a shot?
Sent from my DROIDX using xda premium
@hoot- yes, the stock player still plays my super old videos.
@runn- I tried mxplayer last time I had CM 7 on my phone and it didn't work. I don't remember if I tried rockplayeror not tho. Maybe it's worth a shot. If I convert my old files what should I convert them to anyway?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I would convert files to something general like maybe avi or mpg... something that any player will play... if you don't have access to a computer, I think there are apps on the market that allow you to convert files... look around a bit

The last version of youtube enables the preloading (caching) of all the videos you add in the watch later playlist. But it needs to be online in order to play them, for some crappy reason. Is there a way to bypass that and play all the videos in "watch later" while offline?
Some info on this feature and the crap reason.
YouTube, careful to draw a distinction between this and total downloading of its vids (which breaks its terms of service), is careful to point out that you’ll still need to be online for the first second when you press play.

Please delete.
Guys, he doesn't want a YouTube downloader. He wants to be able to play the video the official YouTube app caches but while offline. OP, I didn't know you could do this, I'll look around for a way.

I can't get on WiFi at the moment but, I'm thinking that YouTube would store the videos on your phone. I'm thinking in the /data partition under one of the YouTube apps folders. I'll check later tonight once I have WiFi.

Just use a YouTube down loader. I know its one extra step but if its worth the extra step then do it.
Use PVSTAR+ as player - it searches and shows youtube vids, and stores them in a cache. You can also copy them out of the cache and they are normal mp4 files. (it also has a mp3 mode, which only downloads the music part it seems). The app also runs in background and with screen off. Completely replaced youtube app with it.
(it also searches on dailymotion and i think you can add other sites)

Hey guys,
Just wondering how to manage to play music from Youtube while the screen is locked on the Nexus4?
I had a iPhone4 prior and it worked when locking the phone. Locking the screen on the nexus causes the app to pause the music or shut it down.
Im not looking for other apps in order to make this happen, I want to be able to use the Youtube app and just lock the phone.
Someone here on xda modified the YouTube app to make it possible again.
I don't have the link currently, but you should be able to find it with the search function.
Here you go bro is also a HD one too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529715

There are many apps for that. Look up "YouTube music player" in the play store and a bunch will come out.
