How to enable it on hd2?
use the WM6.5 app instead of HTC Sense or click the left softkey when using HTC Sense messaging app and then menu->settings->options>SMS check "delivery report"

What happens to me is that when i send a sms it doesn't move after it is sent to the "sent item" folder but it stays int the "outbox" folder so it keep sending it like 7 to 12 times.
Anybody knows a solution? Do I have to reinstall messaging? Is it possible to reinstall messaging?
Thanks

Using udK Diamond R7 - CE OS 5.2.20273 (Build 20273.1.3.3)
Are you using threaded SMS (turned on) as I am also using R7 and do not have this problem.
What is threaded SMS?
Threaded SMS is where you have the whole conversation with date and time showing under each contact... and in SMS settings do you have "Keep copies of sent item in Sent Folder"
Two simple things that may well be the problem

thinkblu rules!
Totally thumbs up to gpap2004's reference to thinkblu's fix.
I'm running Dutty's HG R9 on my Topaz and HATED the HTC SMS app. This fix works great.
There's one small nit left over: when I get a new SMS notification in the topbar, if I tap on that notification I still get the crappy HTC SMS app. (If I remember to just tap on the normal Email app, everything is fine).
Does anyone have a fix so that tapping on the topbar "new SMS" notification launches the normal Tmail.exe app? (n.b. Dutty's HG R9 is based on WM6.5 with Manila and Sense; I do not use Sense at all; frankly I'm unsure whether I "use" Manila. My front screen I have enabled with a rather old HTC Home screen plugin, but I do still get that new HTC WM6.5 style top notification bar).
Thanks!
Jay
I am having trouble finding out how to disable certain screen notifications.
I want to diable the "SMS Sent" notification that comes up in HTC Sense after a txt msg is sent.
I have set the registry entry - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMsg - to 1 as I found online, but that did not help.
Any other ideas?
Also I want to diable the "New Email" notification that comes up in HTC Sense.
I hate having to constantly clear that notification off the screen.
Thanks.
yes and so do the rest of us.... dont think we can yet

You'd have to change the messaging .exe to do away with sent sms notifications... what ROM are you on?

you'd best upgrade your ROM to Duttys latest or request a cab of the messaging.exe w/o sent sms notifications, if possible.
Hi.
Does anybody know if I can change the standard sense messages widget
in the way that it opens chompSMS instead of the standard app for writing an message.
I tried but couldn't make it happen.
Thanks
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
When you install chompsms, it will by default ask you which application to open when you first click the message on the messages widget. Choose the one you want and tick the default option.if you defaulted the standard one just clear defaults from applications and try again
