Hey just thought I'd share this incase there is anyone out there like me who really likes the circle battery indicator but also really liked the 5 bar signal indicator aswell...all I did was pull the
Circle bat from Frankencat here:
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=684
and replace the battery icons from jjohns63 in here:
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=687
all credit goes to them for their work, all I did was swap the one for the other.

I've only tested this with Nero v3 (by team whiskey)
But I've been told that it works with v4

Ok so I dont have a lot of time to redo the colors but I've had several requests for the colors to be tweaked (the blue to be more inline with the Nero remix blue) or the Green
any votes on specific colors?
I'm not making any promises but depending on what people want I'll see what I can do

Can this be used on Nero v4.1?

This is a segmented circle battery with differing colors depending on battery and battery % displayed in the middle of the battery. also it changes the 4 signal bar to a 5 signal bar

OP updated with Screen Shot
btw quick update this does with with bionix v1.2
This is a great mod which which works just fine with TW Bionix V 1.2. I wonder why Team Whiskey or the creator of Slightly Better Gingerbread (SBG) do not incorporate this battery mod as it is infinitely more readable?
Are there any reports of unreliability?

I've had no reports of Unreliability.
I do want to mention though that if you do use it on Bionix V1.2 it will revert the "H" icon back to "3g"
Warning I have serious suspicions that this will NOT work with Bionix 1.2.1 (due to the new Lock screen/changes to the Framwork.res)
I've been working on this but things are still crazy busy...and I've needed to spend more time with the family.

That is by far the best solution for a task bar battery gauge I have ever seen. I want it. I would replace my widget in a heartbeat for that...
Nice find. Now lets see how we make it work!
EDIT: Looks like Fightspit has done a lot to make this ready for those willing to adopt it. The process for making this work on the Captivate appears to be up to our community.
Gah we need more developers for captivate that is one awesome battery mod.

This would be much better than having to take up home screen space with a widget that shows percentage. Plus, the stock indicator for the Captivate always shows way more battery level than is actually available.
I would glady donate to anyone that gets this working on the Captivate.

What do you guys think?
This is just to make sure a modded framework-res.apk would work, I just replaced the few battery images it uses. I will have to compile the xml file to do all of the percents.

You rock...This is perfect...Should have been that way from the factory...Looking forward to the release...
I tried to create the mod but even though the new battery indicator is working, I am getting non-stop FC's. These are the steps I tried:
1. Decompile stock framework-res.apk using apktool v1.3.1.
2. Replaced res\drawable\stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml with the ones from Fightspit.
3. Copied all of the stat_sys_battery* to res\drawable-hdpi.
4. Recompiled using apktool.
5. Signed apk.
6. Copied to SD and then used Root Explorer to overwrite existing file.
7. Rebooted.
If someone gets this to work, I would be curious to know what steps were taken.
Hey guys, just an update, I will have this out in about 10-20min (i hope)

The only problem with the clear button at the bottom of the notifications is that if you have a lot of notifications the clear button is way at the bottom. Nice work though....

On the bottom is more convenient (closer to thumb) most of the time, but other ways have their perks too. Works great on CL3ANTH3ORY. Love the love for those of us who like recent apps in the notification bar. Wide button works full length as expected, nice.

I just found the miui launcher the other day and after trying it realized there is VERY little I could remember about the rom that was different besides the launcher itself(which the independent app really did a good job of) and the status bar pulldown options. It had a few differences in settings like cm7 does.. but outside those little differences miui seems more launcher than rom.
I never gave revamped much of a try because I didn't like miui(for above reasons) and didn't see much difference..
Revamped has tweaks and things the devs do to make their version of miui the best it can be. Flash miui.us first and after a week flash revamped. See if you notice a difference in the level of awesomeness.
Vibrant+MIUI
I would also like to hear some user feedback of MIUI Revamped.
I came from CM7 and gave MIUI.US a shot, and haven't gone back since. I love the smoothness and the interface of the ROM. With Neo 17 my battery life is ridiculously good... and GPS works great with the CM7 GPS fix posted in the development section. I just don't know if I could want any more out of this phone currently. Its fast, battery efficient, everything works as it should...
I want to try revamped, and I surely will... but I am interested in some user feedback.
Sent from my T959 using XDA Premium App
Im running miui revamped and i must say ill never go back to 2.2 or gb.....its extremely fast, has added tweaks for modems and kernels,it is100%customizeable from status bar to dialer, message, dock, lock bar to lock screen, everything is customizeable.
Main diff. between the 2 is revamped comes packed with a powered well built kernel, script tweaks, and some apps that you may or may not find useful.
I did find that for me the kb5 modem works better for me than the ka7 modem it comes with.
Never tried stock miui before.now running on miui revamped ss + Bali 1.2.1 kernel. so far so smooth .battery life is good so far.
Go for miui revamped ss.... this rom made me stick with cm7 based gingerbread.

Circle launcher is pretty bad ass...it has lots of customization to it.

Good to hear. Have a new theme in the works. Will be called Mean green so mostly green with just a hint of spawn added.
Sent from my Sensation Rockin an ICS rom, changes daily!
Hopefully, I can get some help. I bypassed a step and went straight from rooting the a500 to flashing a theme without going with a Rom first. I am now getting a continuous loop of the boot screen. Is there a way to go back and fix this?
So far I think its coming along good. Tell me if the color is OK. I'll post screenshots. I am aware that there are still some blues. I'm working on this. It takes a while because I have a work around for the systemui.apk that I need to use because my apk manager doesn't do the job right . Anyways, please give me some feedback!

Nope... the cm devz kept what was blue blue and what was yellow yellow.. not saying they're lazy but they didn't theme it... I guess its based on cyanogens framework so. Ya get what get just extract the frameworks contents and look through the drawble-hdpi and you'll find a bunch of yellow selections.

Dammit!!Getting frustrated here -.-. I cant find it. I even changed the one that said "highlight_pressed" and nothing. maybe because when I save as and then put the .9.png's im putting a bunch of .9.png's and not just one. could this be it? I doubt it.
I did like half of what I was trying to do. The highlight works in xda app. But I want to change the blue from when ur in home the press menu then"select" system setting. Can't get it >:/

The framework is because Google is lazy. Most of the images you'll want to edit are in SystemUI.apk, but there are still a couple hundred images from framework-res that are still used. Fwiw, I'd theme everything. Never know nowadays if an image in a framework is used or not lol.
