Hi! Theres is a Bug when using an Exchange Account (corporate) e-mail and sending meeting requests.
When you save a meeting request in calendar he just keeps sendings invites indefenetly. The only way to stop sendig is to delete the account. To overcome this i'm using a client (RoadSync).
This is happens in any ROM from the orignal to the costumized..
Am i the only one to notice this?
Can anyone help?
THks
I notcied something similar,
After declining a meeting request (JPY) the decline message was sent out about 50 times to the meeting organzier. Then it suddenly stopped without intervention.
Luckily the organizer was only me doing a test ....

Hey Guys. Not necessary looking for a fix but misery loves company so I figured I'd ask if anyone is having a similar issue:
When sending email through Gmail IMAP email messages receive and sync, but do not send (yielding a popup that states "make sure your connection to the server is correct...etc")
So anyone feel my pain on this?
same issue here
I am on DCD 3.1.2 w/radio 3.39.10 and I have the same issue.
Going to go back to pop3 for now and see if fixes this issue for me.
I'm running off of completely stock stuff right now ( i think it's 3.53). Nothing special or cooked.
Should be working, but it's not. :-/
I'm also having this issue
this happens intermittently for me - very intermittently. I have found that ending my google mail account that's running in the background and going into that mail account via the mail application again corrects the issue. I use HTC Task Manager to close out apps in the background... a soft reset would do the same thing.
This is a Gmail (imap)/Windows Mobile issue. Not sure what the problem is, but it definitely sucks.
I would recommend sticking with Gmail POP until Google gets their WinMo/imap act together.
How do I know the email I received is a calendar request?
If yes, how do I accept/reject the calendar request?
not possible yet
wait for Froyo 2.2
or get a 3rd party software
I only manage to accept Exchange meeting invitation on XWJM1, not the other firmwares, I do not know why.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
cannot accept even on Froyo
I am running SGS with Tayutama.
There is no possibility to accept exchange meeting from my mail. I can only repy to it, forward it, and save it to calendar like a new meeting (only body of original message is used, not proposed times, subject and participants.
Is there anybody who can do it on Froyo? I am just wondering, if this is fault of my phone, Tayutama ROM, or whatever...

I'd like to know about other people's experiences with CM6 and Exchange. With the stock email app, I have noticed at times that at times it would start using a lot of cpu, and stop receiving emails. I did have "all email" sync, but these issues would happen randomly after all of my mailbox was downloaded; could this have anything to do with it? I would have to reboot my phone for email to start working again. After reading about people's experience in the CM6 thread I thought it might be appropriate to have an altogether separate thread. I did notice some users having similar issues, and that TouchDown is a good alternative.
So about 2 weeks ago, I started trying it. Problem is, when I go to add a contact (discovered this by long pressing a number to create a contact), it will let me create a "TouchDown contact", but only with names. I contacted touchdown support and they said that no other applications can have access to TouchDown data for "security". I did put in a feature request for an optional contacts integration, because my Aria is a work phone, and every contact I add I *need* synced. I did think about adding contacts to Google account, and then installing Google/Outlook sync on my work pc, but this seems too convoluted.
Has CM6 exchange improved in any of the nightly builds? If I choose to go back to the stock email app, is there any way that if I run into these issues again I can provide debugging information? The only thing I really liked about TouchDown was the search email feature, but this is in no way a feature request for the stock email app. xD
Why not ask in the cm6 thread instead of starting a new one?
I've been using stock exchange mail client since the beginning of CM6 on aria, haven't ran into any major issues with it. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes the deleted email on aria still show up on desktop outlook.

Just wanted to add that stock client does stop getting emails ( very rarely for me), instead of rebooting, I just forse close the app and restart it again.

For adding/syncing contacts (using touchdown for email) I added the exchange account (under stock email settings) and set it to never check mail, but still sync contacts and calendar. I am going to see if this combination with touchdown works, as the email app is required to run if syncing exchange contacts is to work at all. I hope don't run into the process hanging without email actually syncing. I'm still waiting this trial out to see if touchdown is worth it; they did add a new feature that shows the number of new emails in the notification icon (I don't recall if this is in the stock email app).
I have my Shift synced up with my work's Exchange server via the Mail app. For the most part everything works fine as I'm able to receive and send emails without much issue. However, when I try and access an email that has already been opened, I frequently find that a particular email is no longer showing up on my phone. My phone is set up to sync the past 14 days of emails and a fair amount of emails that were received well within that window sometimes won't show up. For instance, 13 of the 32 emails I received on July 5th (the last of the 14-day window) aren't on my phone but are accessible through my Outlook software of through OWA.
I tried searching online elsewhere and it seems this particular problem only affects HTC phones. Has anyone else experienced this or even better, has anyone found a solution?
I was having an issue with the HTC mail app not deleting messages from hotmail so they would keep coming back as new notifications to my phone which is apparently a known issue in the gingerbread release. To fix it I installed the stock android email app and didn't have any issues after that. Unfortunately, if you use a mail widget it will not work with any other mail app.
I used the Email.apk from the original post on the link below here and disabled notifications for the sense email app so I wouldn't get two for each email(I also may have deleted the stock email after awhile I don't remember):

My phone is rooted and at the time I was running the mikshifted g executive rom. I have no idea if you can install this .apk on a non-rooted device if you aren't rooted but you could try. You just download it and install it like any non-market app.
Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help a long time lurker out. I've been using my S5 for quite some time, and I use a hotmail account as my main email address, using the stock email app and S Planner.
Whenever I would receive a meeting request via email, I would normally accept it, and it would place the meeting in my calendar. I could delete the invitation from email, and all would be good.
All of a sudden, starting yesterday, if I accepted the meeting, it would place the meeting in my calendar as normal . . . . . until I deleted the emailed meeting request from my inbox. As soon as I did that, the meeting would disappear without any warning from my calendar.
I've looked high and low in the phone, and I cannot find any settings for this at all. I can't recall installing any software, or changing any settings that could have caused this. Nor have I updated the phone since I got it in the summer. I'm rooted as well, if that makes any difference.
I tried factory resetting the phone this afternoon, I did NOT restore any backups to it, however I'm having the same problem.
Am hoping someone can help me out.
Thanks
Bump . . . was hoping there'd be SOMEONE out there who could shed some insight.
Thanks
