Ok so lots of heated opinions about the default Oxygen theme and I don't want that to detract from the main ROM, after all I just do pretty pictures (or not so pretty lol).
I've also decided to turn this into something positive and in the spirit of community development open up the floor for discussion.
So what would people like to see changed in the theme?
Really like the theme, maybe a little more green than lime

Can it be possible to make it so that the user can change the color through the UI?
Wanted to change the orange highlights and rollovers in OD to blue but not sure how.
Wrong section, this should be in desire general, themes and apps its just for what it says not discussion threads

First of all, thanks for your work on the theme for this great rom.
As this is all about personal preferences, I would prefer the following...
1) maintain the exact same color for each icon
2) going back to the original oxygen blue would be more attractive
3) a black notification bar
I imagine that those of us who are attracted to AOSP type roms would also prefer simple elegance as opposed to bright and flashy.
Change wallpaper in each home
Good day as will all?
The theme is very good ... I least liked what I saw!
But I have a problem that I don't know if it would be possible to solve!
I currently use 2 launchers ... the ZEAM and update Gefrost 60 g (Emuphirus) that mimics the launcher Galaxy S ... anyway ...
But if you change the wallpaper of a laucher when dumb to another change that I made before the current in the launcher applies!
Wish I could have 2 different homes in each launcher, each one with your wallpaper ... issopode opinion tosco, but is something that I would love that could do to further improve the theme!
This would be possible?
Thank you..and congratulations for the beautiful initiative a unique moving trhread discussion on the topic here!
I would like to share my opinion.
I liked your theme it was nice but i didnt use it. Simply because my wallpaper didnt match it. When you use colors (lets say that light green is quite aggressive color) in theme they look good only when they match wallpaper and wallpaper is something everyone got different. So the safest option and the one that looks great with almost all backgrounds is black or white or any color of grey.
Thats why with OD, greatest popularity had simple black bar or as it was for me the stock white option.
I would love to see your icons in grey on white notification bar, custom lock-screen that would match notification bar colors and dock for luncher also in same taste.
So in my opinion you should focus on those neutral colors that would appeal to more people and then add some colors to it just barely, to hit that sweet spot between flashy and too simple.
Mix of ClassicalGas (flat) and BlueFrost, in white would be that spot for me.
I love the default theme, and the add-on theme. Very fresh, and isn't that what this project is about? You have my vote, and loyalty.

Hmm I would prefer something similar to what CM did with his ROM, with just a simple .xml file to edit to change the colours. I want to flash over a white notification bar, but the clock got stuck at whitish, so I had to flash a black one. Anyone else knows how to change it (easily)? Without modifying files dangerously?
I'm quite sattisfied with the green (lime) theme, I just exchanged the header and footer in the drawer (I took them from the Elegant Steel theme ) and now it's really ok for me.
I'm going to change the orange highlight color to green / lime, too. Then there will nothing be left to complain for me nice theme by the way!!
I think the green need to be the same green all throughout. For my tastes there is currently too many different shades of greens and greys.
I like this theme. Not bad. I also agree with people who support that a stripped down rom should have the option to flash/change a theme instead of forcing it.
The only thing I do not like very much with the theme are the G/E/H icons. Not very visible. I would prefer something more colorful, or the most common arrows used than a letter that is half blinking.
Sorry for not contributing with any constructive criticism, but wanted to thank you for your hard work. I really enjoy the theme! Great work.
Personally really liked the theme - everyone has different tastes. As usual with these things 50% of people will never be happy no matter what changes - I think you and Adam should just keep doing the things you like and if people want to use it they can do. After all you could not release it and no one could use it which would be a real shame.
I kinda like the new theme, got a few "disslikes" thou.
The green color doesn't seem to be the same everywhere in the notification
The battery seem to have a few extra pixels in every corner
The logo, dunno why I don't like it thou, but me and my friend posted a few alternative logos in the Oxygen-thread, dunno what other guys think about them thou.
other than those 3 notes i like the idea of an speciall oxygen theme!

I liked the icons. When no activity on the connection it is gray almost invisible, when it has activity it turns green clearly visible. You can see in the Market picture attached.
@1000moths
Could you look at the attached images, I have some suggestions. Thanks 1000moth loved the theme.
...one last thing, When I installed the 0.2.2 I did not got your wallpaper with the Oxygen logo somehow got my old wallpaper. Now I do not know how to get your wallpaper again. Would you mind telling me how can I find this wallpaper inside the rom? Or maybe you could post it? EDITED: Already found in the zip posted below.
Thanks again man.
Current status -
White pixels on battery - Fixed and changed the battery to face the other way bit like MIUI
The lime green - I'm going to switch this to the official Android green #A4C369 it's less "aggressive" but may look a bit washed out but we'll see.
Status bar - I've gone with blacker version for the next itteration
Header bar - i've removed all Oxy branding for the time being.
Uploaded a flashable zip below so you can check it out.

Is this flashable for Oxygen 0.2.2?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Just downloaded and flashed the zip, and I must agree looks a lot nicer now and didn't notice those little extra pixels around the corners of the battery icon until someone mentioned it lol,
I am impressed with oxygen and I've only been running it an hour with vorkkernel r8 and man is it smooth.
Good work on the theme tho mate if you made the notification drop down a lot darker like the bar would be sweet.
And I think the background on the notification drop down looks "weird" cos it's got a carbon like texture on there?
This is a theme mod for kabaldan's port of CyanogenMod 9. It has been tested only on latest nightly build, ICS 4.0.4.
I made it primarily for my self because I dislike gingerbread theme leftovers since they fit poorly into ics look.
Note that this mod is far from perfect and complete which is most noticable in progress bars and dialogs. This affects only some apps, I guess which are not created to use the new holo theme resources. So I made some minor changes to fit a little bit more in the overall look. Hopefully I'll find the time to fix other resources in an eventual future update.
Files provided are OpenRecovery flashable update zip. Cache wipe is recomended before installation.
File "update-cm9-4.0.4-theme-mod_v0.1.zip" is theme mod.
"update-cm9-4.0.4-STOCK-theme.zip" is here to return to stock.
I haven't uploaded any screenshots because I'm sure you all know how default gingerbread theme looks like and how ics looks. There's nothing special here.
If you notice something that does not fit feel free to post and i'll try to fix it in future update (if any).
ScreenShots !!!!!!
I didn't because there's not very much to see.
Basically, the changes reflect mostly buttons and check boxes. In gingerbread they are orange when pressed/checked. Now they are blue which suits me a bit better in the overall apearence. it's not perfect but still a dash more consistent. (Except those sliders. Didn't even notice at first.)
Hopefully i'll find the time and manage to do it better and more complete.
And as mentioned it only affects some apps, not all.
Edit: I added missing images that show what has failed miserably in mod. sorry about that, I had some issues uploading.
Old thread
... gonna try it and and see how it goes

Re: [ROM] Codename Android 3.5.0 [JellyBean] [09/08/12]
Im coming from using MIUI for a very long time on my HTC Inspire and while MIUI has been awesome for my pone, it is crappy on my new tablet. Every single MIUI rom for the Nexus has been buggy. After some searching on XDA, I decided to give Codename Android a shot. So glad I did because this ROM is so smooth and fluid.
The only "issue" that I have is, the WiFi icon in the status bar won't change color. I have it set to pink, but it's still blue. Any ideas?
Lastly' does anyone have an idea how to change the color of the blue bar at the top of the settings screens?

Go to settings....interface.....notification bar....notification color.
Don't know about changing the WiFi color.
Now a question for you. I have always been a big fan of MiUi, did you try the JB release on MiUi.us?
Thanks for our quick response! Hmm, for some reason I completely overlooked that setting. But, I just have it a shot and it won't change the bar color. 'Tis frustrating.
And yes, I tried the miui.us version and shogun's version'
Miui.us was extremely basic. It also annoyingly included the phone and messaging apps. Updater kept for closing as well.
Also, another big issue was the glitchy transition from portrait to landscape. everything felt so heavy, if that makes sense. It felt and looked as if they just stretched everything out to fit a tablet.
CNA is much lighter, smoother, fluid, and absolutely seamless. Coming from predominantly using a heavily miui themed phone, running CNA on my Nexus7 feels like a relief.
[Sent via my Google Nexus 7. Pardon errors.]
I have been watching the MiUi development, but with CNA, I couldn't find a logical reason to try it.
You mention the phone and text apps. Did you know that using Google Voice and an app like Talk atone, you can make/receive phone calls and send/receive text?
You would have to try MIUI on your tablet in order to see what I'm saying for yourself.
But yeah, I figured that, but I don't see the point in using my larger tablet for calls and texts, when I have my Inspire. it couldn't hurt to check it out though huh? Thanks!

I sorely miss SlimRecents (Marshmallow version) and was so happy to see that Omnirecents has changed to a horizontal sidebar view now for nougat, but the downside is that it's been laggy on Dirty Unicorns and now with Screw'd Android Nougat ROMs. Even on a fresh install. Screw'd ANdroid has Slimrecents for Nougat but it no longer works the way it did on Marshmallow where it would always keep the foreground app in view and pressing hte recents button will just show and hide the recents list. Now on Nougat, it cycles between the foreground and previous app
Omnirecents seems to have a litle lag from pressing the recents button, to the background drawing first, then the windows showing up. Granted it's faster than the stock recents behavior, but it's no where near as fast as SlimRecents (marshmallow).
Here's how laggy Omnirecents is on my Nexus 6P, is it the same for everyone else?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJx9TIKCBFQ
Last time I used it with aicp rom + franco kernel and it was quick, not laggy. Your video shows a grey bar before it clearly appears, that looks a bit strange, do you use any theme???
Even without a theme it has the same lag to it. I've set the background to no transparency and its the same thing.
curious if it's laggy or quick for others?
is that gray bar not supposed to be there? I'm using AICP now (since it's the only nougat ROM that has Slimrecents working correctly), and I tried Omnirecents, but it's still laggy like in the video :/

May you flash Omni rom from Android original development, it's a nice and fast rom, even more if you use the Omni launcher. Good and not overbloated features and with oms support, if the recents are still laggy for you on this rom, it's your phone. Then may you should think about wiping your complete phone and do a complete new setup by flashing factory image.
it looks like its laggy the way it is. omnirom devs on google+ said there's nothing wrong with it. and checking this video: https://youtu.be/LVNowZ1beQ8?t=169 shows that it still has the same lag.
here's how quick slimrecents is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xltWTcR8hS4 but unfortunately slimrecents isn't implemented correctly on AOSP ROMs.

it works correctly on slimroms. but I would like to have more features than what Slimrom offers at this point. I've posted about how slimrecents isn't working correclty on a few of the rom dev's google+ pages and started a thread here on xda, but no one seems to care lol. guess i'll stick wtih AICP which works fine or find a way to tolerate the laggy omnirecents if i ever go to an AOSP ROM.

ABC Rom has it. ?
As for Omniswitch, yeah. It's nowhere near as good as Slim Recents, but it definitely lags a lot over time.

ABC ROM also isnt' working as intended.
Hey guys, the one thing I liked about the stock ROM was that I could make the screen really dark and really bright. It's much more limited on the AOSP ROMs I've tried. Is there any ROM that gives me more control over brightness?
its the way they designed android pie which is stupid af. also tested it on my friends android one device its the same as the custom roms on lavender.

Yeah, but Xiaomi actually fixes the bull**** google does to Android, that's why it takes longer for us to get android updates.

But brightness levels have nothing to do with skinning, no? If Xiaomi could change it, so could any other dev maybe?
My other two gripes with MIUI are the stupid notification behaviour and lack of colored music notifications + album art as background (yes that's important!) ?.
is there a fix?

I feel the album art as background too, but i prefer to stay on MIUI for better stability overall, plus i got really used to the MIUI skin so i don't feel like changing.

But how about notification behavior? I totally hated that because I want all my unread notifs to always stay in the notif bar + lockscreen.
Also, what is the best place to suggest / discuss implementing changes to MIUI? The official forums seem either dead or I get generic replies and little views.

I believe you'd have to enter the closed beta program to do that, the inscription is not always open though, you'd have to check mi community for more info.
Thanks.
While we're talking - does anyone else have the issue where 4G doesn't reconnect after calls? Sometimes it does after a longer while, but it's much quicker to enable/disable airplane more to get it to reconnect. I actually remember having a similar issue while on the stock ROM too.
