Or does it matter? I would think that the task29 for leo512 and leo1024 would be different but I cannot find anything. I've read people explaining what it is, but I already know what it is just can't find a download. Don't really feel like bricking this thing.
Thanks

Hey,
I've know my way around android and am quite familiar with clockwork mod.
But just switched to the HTC HD2 and need a noobs guide to installing MAGLDR and Android NAND Roms.
Thanks in advance,
Louis
Man IDK why people don't just search... posted so many times and hell I don't even use it and I know it at this point lol
How hard is it to download MAGLDR and running ROMUpdateUtility? Then follow and reboot you will see the MAGLDR bootloader.
Here I made it very easy for you as simple google yield video tutorial. You might find it useful cuz I sure won't post the 2nd step lol way to long thats all not hard but to long

Try searching the HD2 Android section. You can either use SDcard Build or you can go extreme and flash it to NAND.
If you look at the very first post in this thread you will see its called "HD2 Android Q&A and General - Sticky Roll-Up Thread"
In there you will find guides on how to do pretty much everything you want.
Well the simplest way, with you doing absolutely nothing, is for you to get someone to do it for you.

If you want to play safe, try SD ROMS. They are safe and there is no chance for you to FUBAR your phone. I might suggest American Android which is a really good SD Android build with the least bugs around(that I know of). Then try others and see what suits your needs and likings. Once you get the hang of it and decide that you are ready to give up WM6.5 or whatever it is that you primarily run on your HD2, try flashing NAND. There are so many out there.
The best way to go about this, is to SEARCH, READ, SEARCH, READ and READ AGAIN! Everything is out there. Trust me.

Firstly, why on earth title your topic as "Help!!", titles of subjects are supposed to be descriptive, titling "help" etc are ridiculous.
Second, If you had bothered to take 2 minutes to look you would find an abundance of guides, no need for this topic at all.
Third, You lost your iPhone then got a real phone, At least one good thing came from this thread
some help you are. i have searched the forums and tbf got abit lost. ive been away from this scene since the first XDA on 02 came out so bare with me. im NOT a complete idiot as i am an MCSE qualified engineer! so dont take me for a TWAT, this forum is meant to be friendly.
ill figure it out myself....!
and also ill probably no more than you will ever no
I think your HELP is just wrong placed - there is a section "HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A and General". So your HELP should be there
go to hdspl mode
change to 2.08
task29
magldr
and wp7

LMAO, I ...VERY... much doubt that since you cant even spell the word "know"!!
Plus this forum is not "meant" to be friendly, Its "meant" to contain all the info you need, 99% of all questions you could ask, especially ridiculously obvious ones like this have already been asked and answered. Take 5 mins and look.
PS. This is the development section, for devs to post work, Not to ask questions, hence the "Q&A" forum. Also you may have joined in 2005 but you still need to watch this video..
thanks guys but its flashing as i type..im on my laptop of course

This.
OP, use correct grammar, better thread titling, and correct forum placement if you want to be taken seriously.
Also, MCSE has nothing to do with this, and really is not that difficult of a certification to get in the first place.

When you say a second one, what do you mean?
Did the first flash and boot ok and now you are trying a different build? Or do you mean you are trying a second one as first failed also??
Flashing WP7 is extremply easy. You just simply...
Load into MAGLDR menu
Load USB Flasher
Load up DFT flasher on PC
Start Flashing!
If this doesnt work it could be down to a incompatible SDCard. Some simply wont work with WP7.
Try and do a full format, ie..
Load Panasonic SDFormatter
FULL Format (Overwrite)
Size Adjustment ON
Reflash ROM!
If that doesnt work, use a different card. Remember WP7 creates a 200MB partition on card so dont be alarmed to see that the card only shows 200MB when you see it in windows.

What he said...
So I've been searching all day trying to figure this out. I'm pretty sure I got my HD2 rooted (everything did as it was supposed to, but don't remember it rebooting, although it probably did). The problem I'm having is I want to load an Android ROM, but it's so confusing? I managed to get my G2 rooted and flashed multiple ROMs on it, but this is a lot different, and every time I google how to install them, it'll give me the Android ROMs, but no instructions? I found one I'd like to use (really I don't care which one it is as long as I have Android Market), but I'm seriously lost as how to flash it. I've been searching all day, and I know you guys hate posts like this, but I'm in serious need guys. Any help will be appreciated.
Also, the G2 ROM was flashed through ClockworkMod in recovery. I can get instructions on how to flash other ROMs, but it says nothing about Android ROMs.. I just want to be able to enjoy my phone!
there are stickies on how to do this
download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
install magldr then install CWM
download the zip file you want to install fromthe dev section and reboot intot he CWM menu and isntall
Thanks bro. I'm going to try it now and see if it works!
if i may...
the link given to you is a sticky in the hd nand section. pretty obvious to see if you open that forum, imo.
in all seriousness - what kept you from finding it? was it hard to find? did you not see the forum? were you nervous to try and use it? why did you feel the need to ask a how to question before trying something out?
i ask as your question is asked countless times and i am curious what xda can do better to get people information that is readily available. i am not trying to be snarky, rather learn from you as what we can do better.
thanks.

it's implied, that if you install magldr, that you do it properly including hspl and correct radio.
please, do answer my above question.

Agreed.
I too am curious as to why people either dont look first or just cant be bothered because that is what it seems like to me.
I just cant understand why people make topics like this when there is plenty of guides and sticky on exactly how to do it, It just seems a never ending circle of n00bs asking "how do I install android" and then people linking to the sticky/guide topics over and over.
Its even more surprising because these new users are given a video to watch as soon as the join up very clearly telling them to use search and read sticky/guide topics first.

That's either a lie or you have been searching under your bed.
My friend hacked my Leo for me and needless to say I wasn't watching. I'll keep it brief and just ask what I want to know (yes I am a noob to hacking-.-):
What are the methods to flash new/better ROM onto my phone?
What is HSPL, Radio, Bootloader, MAGDLR, and NAND? And how do I use them?
IS there a manual/wiki for specifics on how to hack this phone and wtf all this stuff means?
Is it possible to have MAGDLR and NAND on one phone?? (I think I do)
AND BY ALL MEANS GUYS, IF THERE IS ONE THREAD THAT ENCOMPASSES ALL THIS INFORMATION THAT I WANT TO KNOW, IN DETAILLLLLL PLEASSSSE, POINT ME TO IT.
Because thus far, all the threads I've read give instruction to those who remotely know what they're doing.
Much appreciated guys.
That thread is exactly what I'm talking about though, I don't truley know about any of this terminology, is there any thread that outlines them?
