i m on .32.720.5 wid baseband 12.28b.60.140..... build num .32.720.....i have seen in the forum that there is a new software available...bt from my phone whn i connect to wifi n check for the update it says no update available...now i downloaded the htc sync...turn on the debugging mode...bt htc sync is not reconizing it...it says...htc sync port is unresponding on htc desire hd...please connect after 10-20 seconds...now what it this??n how can i update to the latest version...plz help...

Guess, then u'll need to wait till the update is available in indiaa
for the Sync issue...install the sync software that came with the SD card of DHD and connect the DHD using the USB cable, should find it in no time...
What's ur OS BTW?

To update your device you'll need a PC with ActiveSync 4.5 or through SD Card. You don't need gprs or broadband (well, only to dowload the update file ).

If you want to update your ROM with an un official release (and thus voiding your warranty - most likely). go to Gene Upgrading Section. Its full of Custom ROMs.
However if you are expecting a os update from M$ or HTC, well keep waiting till eternity .

hi, im no expert with the whole android thing and need help. my phone is moto backflip 1.5 version. I try this SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE>CHECK FOR UPDATE
and im getting the answer : The device is unable to connect to the server. Try again later.
And this been happening again n again. I know my wifi is working n all. I even tried google for a solution n it said if this has been happening then u have to wait untill the update version for your phone they decide to send u.
A friend of mine told m about this site.. that you guys might be able to help me out here.

go to motorolas website and look up your phone and go to support and check for updates there. it will tell you to download stuff

i have the HTC Legend with android 2.1 - update 1
i need to install apps to it and it says the low disk space but i have a big space on the Sd card .. and i look into it to find if there is an option to move apps to the sd card but its not available on it so please is there any one could help me on this i try many ways but everytime i need to install new apps i need to delete old apps from the phone memory to save data and thats in not good

What carrier was your phone purchased on? Most worldwide have rolled out 2.2 for our Legends.
Or you could always root your phone and flash a custom ROM, you'll potentially (if you choose) have the latest and greatest version of android.

Open sim? You mean unbranded? HTC should've rolled out the update for you in that case.
As for rooting and flashing, look through the Dev forum AND ONLY ASK QUESTIONS IN Q&A.

um o mean its unlocked phone the company is cellcom Israel but i dont know who to get the updates and also i need to do and update for the Radio coz i have 2 diffrent phones with 2 sim card in same carrier but the htc the service of the radio is lower than the other phone .... could u help in this our should i send email to Htc team asking about that ??
If your phone is unbranded as I think your suggested..... connect via wifi to the internet with a full charge and on main power. Go to settings, about phone, system software updates, 'check now'. It should find 2.2 is available and prompt you to download and install.

If you can't find the update online it sounds like your phone is probably branded by the network operator (regardless of sim used).

If your network operator isn't supplying the update to 2.2 you may have to do the update yourself. This could invalid your warranty with the network operator though.
recently i update the rom version of my htc my touch 3g . from RUU . i downloaded from htc brazil site . when i updated. it updated all the radio etc and rom also but the firmware is same andriod 1.5 . but on the site it is froyo . i dont know what is this . i updated many times from other sites also . but result is same all the time i get same andriod 1.5 :'( . tell me plz whats the problem and how to update andriod 2.2 froyo official on htc my touch 3g thnx :crying: sorry for wrong english . i am from pakistan

Could you please install mumilover's Fastboot Commander, run it with your phone connected via USB, and show us the output?
Also, the RUU should have created a log of the installation process. It would list any errors that it encountered. See if there's a file on your PC at C:\ruu_log\ or something similar.
