i recently installed Android 2.2 Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update to my htc wildfire now the problem is that i am not able to install live wallpapers and my home screen is not rotating
LWP's are only supported on Custom ROM's. HTC doesnt officially support LWP's on the Wildfire, and, since you already have the FroYo OTA, you are out of luck installing LWP's.
Also, if I remember correctly, the home screen (On the default Sense Interface) doesn't rotate anyway.
use wildpuzzle V0.6 it support live wallpapers, work fine and smooth
There is app live walpaper picker apk with this app you van run lwp

Sent From My Rooted HTC Glacier- It Just Makes SENSE
I installed Flikie Wallpapers HD, it is really cool, but it is constantly using CPU cycles even after I closed it (about 4%). So I am worried it may drain the battery fast.
On every Rom I've tried (excluding sense Roms; they don't have handy animations, and I personally hate Sense.) Live Wallpapers lag the launcher. Whether it's the app drawer zoom or scrolling, it has a slight, but very annoying, lag. Is there any possible way to fix this? I love live wallpapers and I love the gingerbread launcher animations, but they don't play nice on my Leo. Anyone get it nice and smooth? This is making me really want a Nexus S lol. Thanks.

I rarely use Live wallpapers as they drain the battery big style but in answer to your question no i don't believe there is a fix yet for the lag you are talking about although i stand corrected on that.
I think it's the Adreno. Lwps worked perfect on my gt540, which had one of the mid end pvr gpus I believe.

Hey,
To everyone who is using CM7, do live wallpapers run smoother than on normal Atrix? Since the Atrix has been know to be laggy once LWP are running.

You'd have to use a launcher like go or adw and use a sense theme. Try the play store. Nexus is pure android with no overlays, for most people that's why it's so great

yeah i tried that, nothing comes even close
If you're using a cyanogen or aokp rom you can apply the sense theme. I thinks its just what you're looking for. It's not included nor free, but out there and working even though it gives you the error when applying.
