do i need to install any driver?
windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
DL DesireZ v0.3.1n (Android 2.2.1)

Yes.
You need the adb drivers.
They are in the android sdk as well as in htc's sync software.
Download either of those

cannot find adb drivers in adroid sdk. only google usb driver and it doesn't work. spent hours to install java sdk and andorid sdk. how i wish you mention htc sync first .... small, and just work without need to manually update driver. thanks anyway.

NET Framework

When i try to install an app for my XDA2, i get this error

}
When i click yes to download the NET Framework for my XDA2, it takes me to a page on the Microsoft website for Windows based computers, not for PPC's.
Does anyone know where i can download the most up to date NET Framework so i can install the app that requires it ?
Cheers. :wink:
I believe the installer is saying that IT needs the .NET Framework to install. It's not saying you need the .NET Framework on your PPC to install.
Download it from the link the installer told you to go to or get it from Windows Update.
Yeah, i came to that conclusion myself about an hour after i originally posted.
Man, somtimes i can be so stupid and miss obvious things. :lol:

HTC Sence and internet share

Ok so i have windows 7 x64 and Magic with official 1.5 + Sense.
The problem is that i connected phone with notebook, driver was installed (HTC Remote NDIS based Device) and i have this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But there i have no internet connection. I tried to disable other adapters, firewalls etc but no luck. I also reinstalled drivers several times.
I know i could use pdanet but why if i should have same thing for free.
PS. i can connect with HTC Sync with no problem.
Please help.
No one can help?
I just read that USB tethering only works on 1.6 firmware, not sure if that is true and if it's your problem though... did you try wireless tethering too?
Well, this is not posibble because ppl with the same software dont have problems with tethering.
OK sorry then, I'd red that in the CursorSense thread... Hopefully someone who uses this software will be able to help you. I don't.

[Q] GT-S5360 Android 4-4-4 KitKat Tutorial: Drivers and Help Needed

Sorry, wrong forum: can't delete
Reposted here
I've successfully installed the LiquidSmooth ROM on my Kindle Fire HD, so now I'm keen to update my Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360.
I've read this tutorial, which seems to be written for my level (newbie). However, when I switch my S5360 into USB Debugging Mode, Windows 7 64-bit can't find the drivers; Device Manager shows this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It needs drivers for BCM21553-Thunderbird, CDC Abstract Control Model (ACM), and CDC ACM Data
Any suggestions?
Also, any comments on the above tutorial?
I'm doing it on a spare phone first, but I will need to backup my real one.

USB device not recognised - toolkit, reinstall drivers, nothing works!

Normally whenever I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 10), the normal USB options screen would pop up on the phone, giving me a choice between charging/file transfer etc...
a few weeks ago it stopped doing this, and the same result on my other pc's.
maybe its to do with the big windows 10 update that was rolled out, I don't know.
but anyway - I simply cannot get windows to recognise my phone at all, it just says
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have tried reinstalling windows drivers, tried the toolkit to install the drivers, restarted phone etc, nothing seems to be working.
I don't know what else to do, please can anyone help?
