I flased DFT's stock desire app and am absolutely loving it. However when I search for contacts using the messaging app it shows contacts from facebook and anyone I've ever emailed. Is it possible to search for contacts using people app instead of ContactPhoneMailerPicker?

is it possible to setup contact groups? I don't see an option for it. Even "dumb" phones have this function. I'm look for a better way to organize my contacts.

You can set up groups from your Google account online. Don't know if you can do it from the phone...

You need to run a ROM with SENSE. Then you can use HTC SYNC. This will easily sync outlook.
if you do not want to use a ROM with sense, you can use a program called My phone explorer.

I can look for and try and install the apk outside the market, but I was asking if someone knew of any alternatives that could do the same job or better, for example for messaging I'm currently using Nimbuzz since it can connect to to several messaging services at the same time (even Facebook Messaging)
I installed the app fom an apk from the internets and it seems to be working

Hi folks, I am newbie to android just bought an Atrix.
I've found that the native calendar app is very limited in function as no search and more important, not fully synced with my google calendar, just around 2 months back.
I wonder if this common to android or just my Atrix?
