I have had no issues with cyanogen's 7.0.2.1 at all. Everything works for me and have had no f/c's.

CM 7.0.2.1 is a 2.3 rom and have both 4g and 720 vid recording working flawlessly.
A great stable, fast sense rom is Eternal Prophecy
Go with Cyanogen mod 7.0.2. It's just as smooth as the Epic you are used to, unlike 2.2, which feels kind of rough and not as smooth sometimes.
It DOES support 4G, and it's very stable.
Oh, and don't buy into the 720p video hype. The quality of the video and especially audio with official 720p recording is far worse than the unofficial not-quite-720p-but-close video on CM7. On CM7 video is smooth, clear, free of stutter, and audio is crystal clear. Don't believe it? Shoot and compare.
alright ill try those 3 thanks guys i just wanted get some input

Oh, then there's absolutely no contest here. The audio in Sense is pure garbage. We're talking 8-bit, absolute crap quality that makes even voices sound terrible.

Not really... You do have to wipe 3 "things" though... User data, Dalvik Cache and cache
If your using clock work mod,i would still wipe everything 3 times to be on the safe side. With amon ra you dont have to but out of habit I wipe everything 2 times just to be safe as I came from a epic as well.

Cyanogen 7 is pretty legit..
Yeah, as others have said, Cyanogen is probably your best bet. Especially if you're coming from an Epic.
You might also want to try MIUI, it's a completely different feel from any other ROM. Not sure if 4G works or not though.
either decks aosp rom or salvage-mod.
I like Sprint-lovers.
CM7 is great, but does have issues with some secured wireless networks, which is why I run MikFroyo, which uses the stock sense Rom as a base.

try to put your HD2 on a treadmill and see which one RUNS the FASTEST !!!
+1 ohhh yeahhhh !!!
I'm going to release my rom tomorrow. It's super fast. I mean, even when installing an app through market, there is literally no lagg, or decrease in the speed. Plu sI can play a 1080p youtube video, and video. Also, i've done what no other developer has done, get 720p recording working on our phones. Plus I've readjusted the camera drivers so the camera captures more detail, and the colors are more on spot, but of course with a taste of contrast which everyone likes.
Buy a galaxy s 2 for all that stuff. xD

Desire HD builds need time for system to settle before they are useable properly and lag has gone.
If you want a smooth, fast rom you should install a non-sense version like NexusHD2, Its very stable and very fast.
I'm on my second ROM. Its the NexusHD ROM and its super fast and stable.
I'm going to try Typhoon Cyanogen this weekend.
I think its out of NexusHD and Typhoon Cyanogen for fastest ROM's.
I tried a Sense ROM first but to was way to laggy for my liking and it did give it a week with about 6 reboots - it was still too laggy.
I have until recently used Ultimate Droid 3 since my beggining of magdlr and it is a super fast and stable rom. But since its development came to a long pause I tried several 2.3.4 roms. Currently using Pongsters HyperDroid and it is very good rom. Before that I used tytungs NexusHD which is by far the fastest rom I have tried, but it is a very basic rom so I wanted to try a CM7 rom. Tyweens rom seamed laggy comparing to UD3 and NexusHD so I tried HyperDroid and still using it.
Haven't used any Sense rom since I moved to magdlr. I found out on SD builds that I dont really need it.
Best rom is the TyphooN_CM7_v3.3.7-MAGLDR.zip + my tweaks from my tweaks page!
It's just best! try and stay with us!
see you on tyween tread and my tread!
Try any cyanogenmod (ported or not all of them are fast) build.
The winner is....
IMO Hyperdroid GBX is the "fastest", turn off all animations in display settings and it flies! Hyperdroid Cm7 is right behind it in terms of speed (again IMO) probably tied by Typhoon Cm7. Ive recently become a big fan of "Sense of Eclipse" and if you want a Sense ROM thats the way to go I havent tried all the great ROMs on xda but those are my choices. Good luck!

What is the most stable Gingerbread ROM for the Vibrant that is suitable for everyday use?
I've looked at CM7 but I saw a post that said it was an experimental ROM and full of bugs. Is that true?
Thank you
I am on CM7 build 56 and after some tweaking (GPS fix, build.prop edits), it runs great with good battery life, and I found everything I needed in the dev. forum.
Same. I'm on CM7 build 56. GPS fix + recent battery drain fix = awesome, Fusion-quality rom
BTW what those build.prop edits are ? Haven't heard of them, can anyone pls send a link ?

I thought there was an official Gingerbread roll-out in mid-April for the Nordic countries. Has anyone made a ROM based on that?
Juwe's port is the best for me. Tried Revolution and Malice and all were exhibiting same problems. The Juwe 5.1 is blazing fast yet to encounter any lag what so ever no hang up bug. However it does experience occasional soft re-boot and that could be due to TW Luncher issues also I have seen where my radio for voice and data would stop but reboot fix it.
Revolutionary rom is much more stable than cm with battery life that can rival most froyo roms. its also hardware accelerated (wich means way more smooth than cm7 and is capable of playing 720p flash videos on the web ).
miui
flash the official miui rom and then miui energy 7.1 with working gps.
then edit the build prop and calibrate battery
Trigger redux with the glitch kernal.
Why isnt 800 ppl posting this?

Yup. Gingerbread Sense is currently under development so the camcorder is not working fully yet. Some have lags too.
So, getting another app from the market won't help?
How about other builds? Should I bother testing them?

If you want to use HTC Sense builds and have a solid video camera, I'd stick with Froyo and Sense 2.0 for now. That said, I think we're all going to have to wait for the Desire Gingerbread source code to be released, before the video and graphical glitches can be completely fixed on our HD2's running GB Sense 2.1 or 3.0. Moreover, it may be a while before the source code hits the street, as the Desire GB update just came out.
Best to all,

Actually, from the NAND and SD GB builds (with or without Sense) that I've tested, the camcorder has always been slower and buggy compared to the HD2 Froyo builds. That said, the Sense builds have a working camcorder as well. Albeit slow and buggy, with or without third party camcorder apps.

Hello,
I may sound like a noob, but thats only because i didn't play with these roms much so far... so, yes, i am a noob
I managed to upgrade my U8800pro to 4.03 official thanks to some of you.
Now i am looking through the forum and many threads and many many custom roms, but i cant decide which one to go with since all seem to have problems...
So the question is: which rom is the most stable+fastest for U8800pro? It would be also nice if normal features (calls sound ok, network works ok, "notification drawer", gmail, youtube, play store, gps, wifi, tethering (wifi, usb), music playback, if possible radio, if not also ok) are also present and working. I really hope there is such rom out there. I dont mind if it is based on 2.x or 4.x (ok, i prefer 4.x, but if some 2.x is better, i will go with that), as long as it works well.
I also have U8800 and there it is easy choice. Go with Aurora, and everything (well, almost everything) works as intended. I also looked for Aurora mod for U8800pro but the best i could find is a mod for Aurora 4.x, while there is already Aurora 5.x out there.
I will post instructions for upgrading 2.2 to 2.3 to 4.03 later on, since i had problems upgrading myself for future noobs to use.
And thanks in advance

Stock Gingerbread
best ROM
nothing can beat it..
ALL custom ROMs for U8800PRO have one thing or the other that'll leave you unsatisfied..
Stock ICS is bad for gaming.
all JB 4.1 have only secondary mic (the one beside the camera) working.. plus, camera doesn't work properly except in stock/pre-installed camera app.
all JB 4.2 have buggy/broken bluetooth
If you don't play heavy games (even Subway Surfers is HEAVY for this phone ).. then you can stick to official ICS.. just unlock FPS (that "install-recovery.sh" thing) and all Temple Runs will be fine.

I'll have to disagree!
Rittik's CM10 ROM is probably the best choice. It's really fast, no lag, and with RAM Manager Pro and History wiping (long press home button), there is absolutely no problem (provided you disable apps to run at startup with Autostart).
Gaming is as smooth as stock GB, except for the games that are ridiculously heavy.
I hope I helped =)

I disagree with both of you. Our friend needs a stable ROM. So I suggest him to try Gingerbread(2.x.x) custom ROMs like THE STALLION ICS look, CyanogenMod 7.2 and MIUI. Everything works like a charm, no reboots, good RAM managment, a lot of extras(the last two ROMs) and no battery drain.
You can downgrade to Gingerbread by flashing step 2 from an official GB ROM.

The roms with the least bugs are Kalo and stallion ics.All the others have important issues (for me) thats the reason i didnt stick with them.In general:All ics roms are heavy and laggy, not for games ofcource. All "jb" roms have very serious issues such as awful memory management and awful incall sound, the phone's most important function, broken bluetooths, broken gps, broken wifi, and a lot of smaller bugs.
All miuis have issues, mainly low memory because of the heavy ui.
Cms are almost ok but not quite there.
I didnt want to return to gingerbread after all these beautiful roms but they are just that, beautiful on the outside ugly on the inside!
we have to focus on gb roms, they are the most complete unfortunately, unless a real dev shows up and work on sources
