I resently deleted an App from my phone, but the market still keeps trying to update it. It just sits there saying "downloading" but never does. If I try to cancel the download, the market app crashes. Is there some way to clear this? I have tried going through Root Explorer to locate were this may be stuck, but so far haven't had any luck.
Rooted Droid2 OC'd to 1.3Ghz still on 2.2 w/stock ROM
Thanks,
Scott
Which app was it? I had this problem with pandora but it went away when I switched roms.

It was called Wtfsimfd or "what the f**know should I make for dinner" I just installed it for laughs. But it seems to have cleared up now. I just finished installing the new already rooted and Deodexed.zip sbf for 2.3.2 and that fixed it.
Thanks.

I actually am experiencing this problem currently. I downloaded and installed a sleep sounds app, had it for a couple days, then uninstalled it successfully. But then I go into the market into my downloads the app is in there with a progress bar that just says installing. Its been about a month now and no matter what I do it won't go away. Rooted d2 stock rom no oc. Any suggestions?

My problem app cleared up when I did the 2.3.2 update.
Here's the link to the file and the instructions. I used the deodexed version and it worked perfectly.

First try clearing all data and caches. If that doesn't work uninstall with TitaniumBackup, with a backup to be safe. Then it should show up in the market. Install it from there and you should be you good to go.
Worked for me. Hope this helps.

i tried that but it still doesnt work.....
When in doubt, Odin back to stock JFD firmware and reinstall ROM. I've been using Axura 2.05 and maps and GPS work perfectly.

I was wondering why, everytime I load a new kernal or rom I loose my google maps. Also, how do I get it back? I have dl from market, deleted the apk from system apps. Reinstalled, nothing. I keep getting fc when I try to open it. I am running jts voodoo5 with dj05 now but it happened before I installed these. Any thoughts?

Did you try clearing data in manage applications?
Fix permissions in rom manager?
Which rom are you using? I had the same problem until I flashed JT's latest Super Clean.

My maps app was ok but nav would fc so I did a full wipe and flashed SuperClean .7. Restored non-system apps with Titanium, installed maps from the market and nav was good to go.

I was wondering if anyone had a way to downgrade the 2.3 market back to 2.1. I'm having download problems with the 2.3 market and I would like to go back to the stock market that came with my fascinate without having to do a complete nandroid restore. Thanks in advance.

have you tried going to settings/applications/manage applications and gone to "market". Cleared cache and uninstalled updates?
If that doesn't work I have an older market apk but not sure how it will work as far as downgrading.
Thanks for the response. I cleared cache but it doesn't allow me to uninstall updates. Hmmm
