that's nice to hear but would be disappointing if you just punk'd all us EVO owning netflix customers..

they have been lookign for at least 1 android developer for a while so i believe it. though in a short time i would guess 3-6 months before you see any sort of netflix app at the very least.

They had an ad on their page but I guess somebody filled up the position.. (no bull)

The position was filled recently because I checked last week and Netflix ad was still up..

As long as I can stream my netflix account to my evo it will be worth the wait.
What would suck is if I have to fork out another fee every month or pay for the app even though I am already a member. Though I would rather pay a one time fee for the app then a recurring fee for the ability to use it.
Only time will tell.

[Q] gameloft games...

Hello everyone, not sure if this is the correct spot for this post but i wanted to know if any of you have purchased any games directly from gameloft. They are currently having a holiday sale where u buy a game for $4.99 and you get one free. Now to me that sounds like to good to be true but im still curious you know. They do have some pretty good games like N.O.V.A. and much more. Any feedback from you guys would be awesome.

It's a legit offer if that's what you are asking. They have a lot of cool games but I usually just wait until they offer free games and then I download them. I was able to get Hero of Sparta and Let's Golf for free.

warning about gameloft, it was confirmed that they double charged lots of their customers that purchased a game from them, I didn't have a problem after purchasing Dungeon Hunter so its not an every customer problem but there are many still having issues getting refunds

Hey, did anyone actually do this deal? I ordered one game, I paid, and then I ordered another game from the free list and... I paid again... how do I get the free games?

I did this twice. The first time there was a "download free game" link that was displayed after i made the purchase, so that was easy. The second time I didn't get that same link. I ended up emailing them and they sent me a link for a free game. I personally haven't had any problems with them, but have only made 3 or 4 purchases with them since getting my EVO, so YMMV. They did take a while to respond to my email (5 or 6 days) but since it was around Christmas time I'll give them a pass on that.

I think they have some of he best mobile games around. Silly as it may sound but I'm after console like gaming and their games are about as close as you can get. Also, EA has a deal right now , .99 cents a game. That includes nfs shift, which imo is the best looking racer we have. I remember when games were 15 to 30 dollars for games, abiet, this was before the iPhone and Android application model existed.

That's kind of like buying a computer and refusing to buy software for it because the computer and your Internet service was expensive enough.

I refuse to buy software as well...the internet is too much as well (thats when you root...and use tethering) I'm an adobe photoshop user and theres no way in hell id pay the asking price for that....the internet does amazing things sometimes

I figured since there isn't a topic on this handset yet that I'd go ahead and start one. Android spin is reporting the phone will release on sprint by the end of July. Does anyone have any information on what will be different about the handset other than the radio. I don't see why sprint would give it a different moniker if its the same as the international version.

Whosdaman got an email from his source saying that it would be coming at that date. From what I see WiThin=WiMax+Thin. So, they're marketing two features of the phone(4G and size) with one name. So, that's my guess t the name change.

Nice. It'll have ben out 2-3 months before my upgrade is due, so I doubt I'll get it to turn around and a new phone come out.

it'd probably be cheaper to buy a brand new one from craigslist or ebay than to use your 75 discount and lose atleast a year of your contract agreement

I just upgraded to the epic a month ago lol, looks like I'll have to put a few bucks to the side till its offically released

I have been sitting on my upgrade since february, preordered the evo 3d, then heard about this phone a few weeks ago. If you look at the specs, this thing blows the evo 3d out of the water. Internal memory is huge and the bench marks are insane. So, it looks like I will be sticking with samsung.

Happy I got my epic brand new in box from a friend for 3bills. I refuse to lock a contract.

been sitting on my upgrade since february as well, specifically for the sgs2. i had the moment, intercept, transform, and the epic so i might as well keep her goin samsung style.

So I got my Epic in December. I stupidly locked into a 2 yr contact. I definitely want this phone tho. Even if it means breaking my contract and starting a new one. What's the smartest route to take?

I'm quite sure they've just never updated the description from when it first shipped. It initially was a 2.1 phone. It'll come with 2.2 if you're lucky, but most likely 2.3. Any phone with 2.1 on it would have been sitting on the shelf since the first few months the phone was released, and with the availability issues the phone had in the first several months, there's no way. It's just old copy on the web site.

I was just putting the information out there. There was a walmart about 5 miles out from me that had some. Sure they could all be 2.3.3 phones but at the same time it is possible they havent had the update. Plus walmarts return policy would allow you to "search" through a few phones to see if you couldnt find one with s-off or no 2.3.3

But really, what % of lines qualify for that? Sprint premier is something that helped them keep customers long term. Now people won't have an incentive to stay. Now the only thing Sprint will have to hold it's hat over T-mo is true unlimited data.

How often do they not have replacement phone at assurion?

coming next.... true unlimited data goes away. after that price increases to match the competition. i'm done with sprint. my service has been too shoddy recently in areas that other companies have been good (including ATT) if i'm going to end up paying the same amount as those companies i'm jumping ship.

Ugh, why Sprint? One of the things I liked about you was actually caring about us customers. Now with this, the iPhone, maybe eliminating our unlimited data it just seems they want to be like Verizon and AT&T and be "one of the big boys on the block."

That is totally GACHO ! This was one of the major benefits of staying with Sprint all these past 7 years ..... they better NOT change the unlimited data or they will lose customers because that is another main reason for choosing Sprint !

Well I've been a customer for 15 yrs. I still say they are better than the other carriers but i'm tired of getting dicked over. But that is the new company standard?

The first time someone sucsesfully pulls this, I garuantee there will be a massive thread. That's how I got a diamond (they were out of the vogue) and a tp2 (they were out of touch pro 1s)
It happens. Thbey usually will be out of stock for a few days while they are awaiting refurbs and will have to offer something from the authorized exchange list.
Its amazing how many phones take a bath that week.
