Hey
Recently I noticed any texts I get are from one random Facebook contact. Only way to stop it is to unfriend them or stop using Facebook for HTC sense. Any ideas?

You. can do it from there: uncheck your phonebook, check the facebook contacts and delete them all, then re-check your phonebook contacts

I've got the same problem. I don't especially mind my Facebook imported contacts showing in the full 'People' list, but I do not want them cluttering up my phone dialler screen.
How do I make my phone dialler ONLY show the numbers from my 'real' contacts (i.e. just the ones I sync with Outlook)? I can't see any sort of View option in the Dialler screen menus.

The contact pics have disappeared in my sms's. It's not a facebook issue as I've removed all facebook apk's and odex's.
Anyone know a fix?

There is a thread about 10 places down from this one, try the possible fix from that one.
Thanks for your reply but no luck. Htc apps suck. I'm gonna try to find the 2.2 sms app and install it because it all works fine with cyanogenmod rom, just not the stock rom.

Solved.. removed htc sense account. Saved contacts to sd. Deleted contacts in google webmail. Synced from phone then restored contacts from sd and left sense account removed.
All down to htc sense. Pain in the nuts.

Whenever I am using a cm rom, I can usually sync my contact photos with fb, but that's as far as it goes, any messaging app I use even though they support contact pictures and syncing with facebook, never show the contact pictures. For example im using go sms currently. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hello!
Search produced nothing, so here I go - I want software that provides sense-like integration for non-sense builds. What I really care about are contact pics.
I tried Facebook app, but
1. It will miss most of the contacts, because my contacts are in Cyrillic, but FB are in Latin... although this in just annoyance and could be fixed with 2-3 hours free time spared.
2. Problem 2 is more significant for me - even if a contact is linked, dialer still shows gmail account pic, or no pic at all (even if the contact is linked with FB and has a FB pic showing)
3. Nice addition will be if someone proposes a cool contact app which manages contact groups( Google should add at least this to upcoming Android versions)
SyncMyPix does what I want

If you are using the htc facebook application from the market, it should ask you at the first start, if and how you want to sync your contacts.
After first start, you can configure it under settings-> sync contacts.
..but syncMyPics should also work.
I have htc facebook on my DHD but it seems I cannot find it in the market and download it for some reason. I know it happens. To be honest, SyncMyPix does the job even better, cos it writes down all images into contact pic place and nothing more, and I don't get all the unknown facebook contacts to bloath my contact book
I would like to see a download link to htc facebook sync though

So it is not my fault, then. The stock FB app cannot provide the functionality Sense does... SyncMyPix then...
I'm currently on TDJ's MIUI (and have been for a while), and for many builds, some of my SMS conversations have been split into two, one for the messages I send and one for the ones I receive. This only happens with certain contacts (and I've checked to make sure they only have one assigned number), deleting the threads doesn't help, nor does deleting the contact. Any ideas?
It might be because you're sync with their fb or google + account that has their number and you're sending to either. but their replies are coming from your "phone" profile of them or under your google contacts.

Yea, Idk what that's about... was happening to me on the last two miui releases. The contacts it was occurring with don't have anything to sync with (ie: no social networking, just regular cell phones)... I'm on cm7 now, though...

Got the same issue ... Hopefully in a later build this will be fixed. This happens worth all my contacts. It's no biggy tho compared to other quirks on certain roms
