the ROM seems to be extremely fast and smooth, however when i use the browser it keeps fc. can anyone help me out with this. this an excellent ROM but the browser fc keeps me from using it.
thanx in advance to anyone who can help me .
You should probably post your question in the Iced Galcier rom thread so the developers can see it.

I answered this question in the ROM thread.
It is caused by the browser cache being filled. The stock browser can only have a max cache size of 6 MB. The pages you are loading are larger than the cache, which causes the browser to close and clear the cache. You'll notice that when you open the browser back up it goes to the default start page.
Try Dolphin HD or Skyfire from the market, they look to have dynamic caches sizes that get cleared when necessary or upon exit.

bchen03 and dclaw_fantum are correct. There were also users experiencing FC due to Adobe Flash Player. Ultimately, the browser and Ice Glacier perform flawlessly for me and most everyone else. If it's not the issue dclaw_fantum posted, Adobe Flash Player could also be at play. From what everyone posted, it looks like just going to the Market and reinstalling Flash helped.

I use the web browser on my phone all the time, but starting today it is randomly exiting the web browser for no reason. No freezes, no fc's, and the only other thing running is launcherpro. When I open it I have to go to history to get back where I was. Anyone know what's happening? This is extremely annoying and unusual.
Edit: I've never been rooted and I'm stock DI-18 eclair.

Is it the same website? It couldve been overloaded or something. Try clearing cache?

Go to setting, aplications, mange applications and clear cache from there it should work. And try using Dolphin HD its better than stock and probably best browser.
Hi all,
I'm becoming extremely annoyed my browser. Can someone explain to me what the (cuss word) is going on here?
A) In the Liberated 2.1 ROM, I can only download a tenth of a file before it tells me the download is complete. Using other browsers does not correct this issue.
B) In the FroYo Sense ROM the browser crashes out altogether. Opera Mini is the only exception.
Can someone please fix my (more cuss words) phone?

try clearing browser data in settings>applications>manage applications?
I'll give that a try. If I don't respond, then it worked. Thanks!

BTW if you tried installing Flash 10.1 as outlined in various places on this and other forums, then crashing the browser all the time is probably to be expected.
I did not install Flash 10.1. This ROM should comes with HTC Flash Player, which is good enough for me.
The browser is working for me in Sense FroYo. I figure it must have just been the fact that I was using an outdated ROM. Also, I was trying to download from websites like RapidShare, which NEVER work for me.
after putting this rom..

..yup, it doesn't work at all. Flash 10,2 is running, but very slowly. I am just wondering why no one has written something about that in the original post with the rom..or just describe the flash player as not working. ......lots of wasted time
I've given up trying diffrent ways to get it working I Totally agree why hasn't any of the developers come across this fault ? Unless they have and too are fixing it for next release who knows :s .
I was looking thru the old updates and the fixes they did to watch ROM update they released and on one of the versions it had flash player but then after that you don't see anythink else , what makes this hard also is that you can't post on the Rom page just explaining the fault, I do hope they fix the flash and AIR probs. I enjoy the sense 3.0 feel

Hi,
I have problem with scrolling in the browser, whether it is stock or dolphin browser.
If you look at the link below there is a list of players, in this case the goalkeepers to choose from in fantasy league, I am unable to scroll down on a box such as this. This is just one example of the issue :

Does anyone have a solution? I know on iphone you can use two finger scrolling.

Use another browser like Opera Mobile or Firefox Beta 6.0
Do you have updated Adobe Flash Player?
Sent from GT-I9100
Got no updates showing on market for flash and always update when available. So should have latest version.
I've tried opera and switched to desktop mode and still not working.
There has to be a solution!

Can't get it to work as well... Kind of frustrating...
Firefox beta works fine, wish dolphin could do it though.
If you haven't installed flash 10.3 then there might be an update available.
When I got my SGS 2 and when I factory reset it, no updates show for flash or gmail, but when I search for flash and gmail in the market, and click on them, it has the option to "update" rather than install.
Dont know if you know what I mean, but search for flash 10.3 and it should allow you to update it.

Basically, make sure you've got the latest version, as per this page...

The part of the webpage that the OP is having problems with does not use flash, it's a table.
I tried the site myself in several browsers, and can confirm the only ones I could get the list to be scrollable in were Firefox and Firefox Beta. Even then they don't have a scrollbar, you have to swipe within the table area. I presume this is by design.

Good point. I just checked and it's just a div with overflow set to auto (show scrollbars if required). This is old CSS and really should show in all browsers. Some investigation is required.
Thanks guys, will give firefox a whirl.
I noticed that when I use heavy amount of apps, my browser simply wont work. I use the task manager to kill apps but no go. It just loads a white screen and must do a full restart. I like this tablet with full hdmi but might return it. Anyone else have this issue or fixes? Couldnt find it on search.

Yes, this is a common issue and it is due to incompatabilities between the apps and HC 3.2.1. The mount point was changed for the SDcard. the apps that try to cache to the SDcard are having issues. The browser is one of them. A lot of people are using Dolphin HD. They going into the settings and telling not to cache to the SDcard. It does not eliminate the problem, but seems to make it managable. It will take a change in the apps to fix the issue. Dolphin has a beta out that address this issue.
Thank you!

Please note that the Dolphin beta does not address the problem. Periodic wiping of the cache is still required to prevent the browser from locking up.
According to the support email I got from Dolphin, the beta 7.2.1 has this issue corrected. And so far as I can tell, it has solved the problem.

Dolphin HD appears to have been fixed for the thrive, so far no lockups. The developers jumped on it and fixed our issue fast.
