Hello there
Last week I finally got around to rooting my Hero after having been too eager in the first place and taking the OTA update when I first saw it and then later couldn't figure out how to root. I just realised I could downgrade it via HTC's roms avaliable on there website.
Anyway I have been running froydvillain 1.7.2 for a week now and it has been going great, wiped everything to begin with started afresh nice and fast but then yesterday my phone dropped its charge in 4/5 hours in the morning for no reason, nothing was playing and no applications were running, none of settings had been changed from last week other than the new market being flashed onto the device.
Today I have calibrated the battery since I skipped that step when flashing the rom. To no effect it would appear since after being on for 1 hour the battery has dropped to 90% with almost no use.
Any ideas? Thank you

Here's the story, a while back, the phone just stopped working, I restarted, and it wouldn't boot, so I went into the recovery console, and tried a clean install, the phone stayed on the second boot screen for like 13 hours, till I quit, this was on a 2.0 ROM, and went back to RC29, I tried 2.0 again, and the same thing happened, finally, I tried the latest Cyan 1.6, and that worked, I've been running that ever since, this happened in April, anyways, I wanna know if this means the phone is dying? I really don't want to drop 500 on a new phone. Also, the phone only stays charged for about 12 hours now, can I fix the issues with the 2.0 ROMS, and get a new battery, or do I cut my losses?
Can no one help me out with this?
How old is your phone. The battery maybe dying and a new one can help you with the battery issue.
As for the ROM, there are much better ROMs our there than April, give another ROM a shot. Don't forget Nandroid and you should be good.
For a few months I've been getting the Sleep of Death (SOD) which would happen about every 30 minutes and I thought I had tried everything to resolve the issue to no avail. All seemed fixed when I upgraded to DarkRevenge V3 and worked without issue for around a month or so but the moment I placed the Community Rom on the phone the dreaded SOD returned after several installs and even going back to stock and working my way back through the install process I still got the SOD no matter which ROM I used. Until inadvertently I did not restore my Youmail App and I went over 12 hrs without an SOD, So in the interest of research and a morbid curiosity I installed the App and within 30 minutes the SOD reappeared. I carried out a clean reinstall of the Community ROM (without Youmail) and have been running for almost 24hrs without a SOD!
If this help one person I will be happy! this thing has been bugging me since SC 2.4
P.S. Thanks to all the Devs for their great work on all their ROM and the Community ROM is SWEET!
It has been known for a long time that youmail is the cause of sod. For a bit it was also believed to have been beautiful Widgets too. But I never used youmail and I do use bw and never had sod. Glad you finally worked it out.
good day.
I get sod when I set my 100mhz voltage to low. anything under -25 sods me but stock on the lower end doesn't matter since its already low anyway and I have no more sods with stock voltage on the low end. some may try that too

Hello there guys, i just got my MS2 a week ago.
I got the latest MIUI 1.10.8 installed on it, altho, i got a little issue.
Sometimes, within no apparent reason, my phone stops showing the battery %, temperature and CPU clock.
Does someone knows what it can be? I know thats not software, since everytime i turn off the phone>remove battery>plug any usb powered>put battery on>turn on, it goes back working normally.Any help would be awesome.
And, i saw many brazillians here. As well. Hello everyone, i'm from there too .
I had similar problem on this rom. I had to go back to previous version.
Thanks ncc for the feedback but, i found out what it is.
Is not the phone or w/e, its the battery, i got a "free" damaged battery xD
Almost bought another one, its coming on the next days.
Hoping somebody can help me out here. I just got my OnePlus Two (Chinese version) and it is running Oxygen 2.0.2. Granted its only been the first day with the phone, but its had a wake lock the entire day now. Installed BetterBatteryStats but I admittedly don't really know how to use it to actually solve the problem. Are other people having these issues and how can I solve it? Frustrating that its stock software and already having issues.
Phone is unlocked and rooted but not rom'ed.
Androids are always awake while charging. Thats normal.
Hey guys,
I have rooted my device over two months ago. The first ROM I had flashed was running nice and smooth except for a few issues like the camera issue.
After a week or so, I've changed the ROM and since then, I've always had problems. The ROM runs nice and smooth at the beginning and later (between ten minutes and three hours) the problems start again.
It never got bricked but it always kept shutting down, freezing (short), lagging, overheating, not reacting untill pulling out the battery or all apps and services crashing and so on.
I then managed it to get working better than ever before running a custom ROM (don't remember which one).
But that didn't last long. After a day or so the phone started lagging again. I've booted into TWRP and wiped cache and dalvik. The next boot ended in a "encryption unsucesfull" and I had to reflash the ROM.
What I've noticed today was that it helped to wait abit before turning the phone on again after pulling the battery out.
Since then I'm trying to figure out how to fix that.
I'm waiting for the Oneplus 4/5 anyway, and I'm not sure anymore if I should root that thing too since I risk to go through the same (or worse) struggle all over again.
If you need any further information to help me, feel free to ask for it.
With my Note 4, I have waited till the warranty time was over.
Thanks in advance
PS: Heat seems to be a huge problem. I don't mean overheating, I mean usual working temperatures. That would explain problems like the massive drop in performance as soon as I got in to my car which was standing in the sun.
PS2: Kind of solved. Downloading the wakelock app and setting it on "partial_wake_lock" helped.
