I just wanted to send a simple, humble thanks to all the Devs out there who spend countless (and manytimes thanksless) hours updating the Android OS's.
Without them most of us (if not all) would be stuck using the providers locked down and bloated OS -

Indeed. I chose android solely because of the development community. I didn't just blindly grab any phone I could, I did a little research and knew it had to be android and it had to be HTC. And thanks to the support and quality that devs put into these devices I will be a dedicated HTC/android customer for as long as both exist.
A big thank you to everyone who puts in work, especially the cyanogenmod team.

I agree, the devs, all of them! Have made owning an htc aria a very nice experience, I have been taught so much about linux, it's insane, droid platform coding too! This is the greatest phone/community combo! Thanks to all, regular members too!

BIG DITTO to this, exactly the reasons I came over to Android and in particular HTC.
I was completely unprepared for how much work has been put in by the devs and community - Bravo everyone and in particular the hard work of the modders!

To be honest... I bought this phone back in October bc it was NOT an iPhone which was very important to me. I didn't even know what android was. Now I'm addicted and my girlfriend hates my phone . Thank you so much devs for giving me a hobby. Idk that I can really be thankful enough for what y'all have done for me. My whole life really. I was just kind of wandering aimlessly before but not anymore!

Hey guys,
I just wanted my first post to be a big thank you to all of you guys on the forums. I've been reading through the forums ever since i got my sgs a few weeks ago and i've found so much useful tips and information here. Thanks to all the people who have the patience to answer other peoples questions and problems, especially when they do it time and time again as the questions are asked more than once! Thanks to all the devs for the opportunity to enjoy the full capabilities of my phone! I am on Darky 9.3 right now (which is great) and considering very soon to make the big leap to CM7. My curiousity in the field had grown thanks to all of you, and i truly hope that in the future i will also be able to make my own contributions to the android community and the SGS community specifically.

My sentiments exactly. It's a great community and the wealth of information collected here is invaluable.

One thing nobody warned me about was the heart stoping moments when ur flashing a rom or bootloader and the phone takes just take 2 or 3 seconds more lol.. BUT yeah big probs to the Seniors Spec Joel (Darky) and Ramad

Well my mother in law really need a better phone so I can't wait that long. So if I'm lucky I will still be within my 30 days to get the gs2. But nexus s is geting ics

Dang, well Esteway.619, I hardly knew ya but I know you did a well help to our Epic4G development section and its really sad to know another great member of our Epic family has left for another device ;( haha. Because I liked him.
I just picked up a Galaxy Nexus. So if I'm not gone, I won't be around nearly as often as I was.
Thank you to everyone I met and shared experiences with.
Thank you for helping me learn about Android and get me to where I am now(I was a complete noob when I started )
Thank you to the amazing developers who made this phone amazing. We've seen way more Android versions than most, and we will continue to see more.
Thank you to Kennyglass123 specifically. You are one of the best people ever, and I was way too excited when you became a moderator. Keep it up, you're amazing.

Nice to see so many forum cops, gets old when someone is being sincere. It seems it has gotten much worse since Android has grown, it use to be a friendly close-knit community. I'd like to have this thread be dedicated to all the veterans in honor of Veterans Day. Remember this. These men and women fought and sacrificed for what they believed in and that deserves more honor and respect than they can get in one day. Thank them every chance you get. If it weren't for them you wouldn't be where you are and have the freedoms you have today. I'm sure there are others and I'd like to hear from them to thank them as well but ones I know we should all give a thanks to is wildstang and jermaine. Not just for their great work they've given us ..... Because they wanted to.... But for their service to this country.... Because they wanted to. Thanks bro's for everything. Happy Veterans Day today and every day.
Hopefully these guys among others will post in this thread. When they do I hope every respectful one of you hits their thanks button .... It's the very least you can do.
