Contact Sync???

This may have been asked, but I couldn't find it. I can't sync my facebook with my contacts like before. Some do, and some don't....mostly none do. Please help. Thanks

Ive noticed in the fb app under setting/sync if you select all friends it will sync all your contacts but also load all your friends into your contacts and then if you select sync with contacts only the results are what youve stated. Seems like a fb problem imo.
there's an app call syncmypix that will add fb photos to your contacts but no profile information

I posted a similar, now dead thread, a while back. My problem was not that Facebook wouldn't sync but that contact pictures would not update when Facebook profile pictures changed

Need to sync FB pics with contacts

I use a none sense ROM and would like to have my contacts sync'd with Facebook pictures, is there a way of doing this?

Try SyncMyPix.

+1 been using that app for a while now. It'll be easier if your contacts' name and their facebook name is the same. Otherwise, you have to manually link them.

Official facebook app on AOSP has option to sync all facebook contacts, or only sync existing contacts.

[Solved]Sense like Facebook integration for non-Sense builds?

Hello!
Search produced nothing, so here I go - I want software that provides sense-like integration for non-sense builds. What I really care about are contact pics.
I tried Facebook app, but
1. It will miss most of the contacts, because my contacts are in Cyrillic, but FB are in Latin... although this in just annoyance and could be fixed with 2-3 hours free time spared.
2. Problem 2 is more significant for me - even if a contact is linked, dialer still shows gmail account pic, or no pic at all (even if the contact is linked with FB and has a FB pic showing)
3. Nice addition will be if someone proposes a cool contact app which manages contact groups( Google should add at least this to upcoming Android versions)

If you are using the htc facebook application from the market, it should ask you at the first start, if and how you want to sync your contacts.
After first start, you can configure it under settings-> sync contacts.
..but syncMyPics should also work.

I have htc facebook on my DHD but it seems I cannot find it in the market and download it for some reason. I know it happens. To be honest, SyncMyPix does the job even better, cos it writes down all images into contact pic place and nothing more, and I don't get all the unknown facebook contacts to bloath my contact book
I would like to see a download link to htc facebook sync though

There is no htc facebook in market, only facebook for android.

So it is not my fault, then. The stock FB app cannot provide the functionality Sense does... SyncMyPix then...

sync facebook contacts w/phone contacts

How do I sync my facebook contacts with phone contacts so I can get there pictures and stuff on my address book I've tryed to go to settings accounts and all that sad there isn't no option there. Any help will greatly be appreciated thank you

If you go back to accounts and add your facebook account(via the add button at the bottom), it should sync the contacts as well. However, if you have manually added contacts, or are using google for contacts, you will have to link them with your facebook contacts.

I must be trying to link them wrong then cause im only linking contacts with other contacts. Can you give me detailed instruction on how to do this process

Sign out of the facebook app. (Assuming you downloaded it.) When you sign back in, and you see the tips page, do not click anything on the screen but click the back button on the phone and the sync settings show up.

Thanks I got the sync settings to come up. But it still did not sync them. When I first got the phone I recovered my contacts from google and it synced all my fb friends on my contacts which was way more contacts then what I had so I deleted all my contacts and recovered them again and now it wont sync them at all. Im running a unrooted atrix with webtop hdmi mod which launcher pro. Would that affect it. Also I tryed to pull up the social networking app for the phone and it wont even let ne log into facebook thank you

sync facebook contacts to atrix
Menu>settings>account
1.add and log in to your facebook account
2.click the menu button on the account screen and click "picturesource"
(This will allow facebook to sync your friends facebook picture to there contact profile in your phonebook)
3.to make sure your contact has the right picture edit the contact by>removing the picture> submit the same name they have on facebook and> hit the menu button and link the contact to the matching facebook profile
4. Yes it is a long manuel process or you can try to use a app called
"Syncmypix" in the market

I know for a fact that Google has disabled this feature with their new gingerbread OS... I wonder if a hack can be made

How to sync a single facebook contact to a single phone contact? (NO SENSE)

Hello guys.
As the title, would like to know how to sync a single facebook contact, with a name chosen by me, to a single phonebook contact, to keep updated on the status and photos.
Attention please:
1) I KNOW THAT THE APPLICATION "Facebook to Android" ASK ME TO SYNC ALL CONTACTS OR ONLY THOSE I HAVE IN PHONEBOOK. THIS DON'T INTEREST ME BEACAUSE THE APP SYNC ONLY FEW CONTACTS AUTOMATICALLY.
2) I'M TALKING ABOUT ANY ROMS "WITHOUT SENSE INTERFACE.
I would simply like to know, (FOR EG) if I have a contact in the phonebook like "John Vodafone", how to connect it to the facebook contact "John Smith" doing it manually, to be able to update his status, his photo etc etc ...

hi.. as i know first u have to sync fb contacts..then go to your contact and press menu>edit then again press menu>join then u see a list of all contacts sync from differents accounts.just search a profile then click it thats all

thanks but, in the new miui 2.3.3 when I sync a fb contact with phonebook one, the contact photo remain the same.

if u want to dispaly fb photo in ur contact just edit the contact and click on the fb photo and select use as contact pic

This metod don't work for me, do not display new choise photo.
