(Q) Divx and ROMs - Galaxy Tab General

Hey guys, just had a quick question:
Do all ROMs have Divx video playing built in or just the Verizon ROM? I thought I remembered reading that only some carriers have that built in, but I'd like to know.
I ask this because I don't want to lose this functionality changing to different ROMs.
Thanks!

Problem with playing H.264 format

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my HD2. I used BsB tweaks tool to enable some new features. Among other I’ve enabled additional recording formats in camcorder. Unfortunately when i record a move in H.264 I am not able to play it. The phone freezes on "Loading..." screen I was trying few things to solve the problem:
1\ installing TCMCP
2\ installing Core Player
3\ looking for codecs (unsuccessfully)
4\ HR
... non of above helped I'm using official ROM 1.66 RADIO: 2.07 Does anybody encountered such a problem ? Any ideas ? Please hlep…
Please, anyone ? At lease let me know if its normal that i'm not able to play movies in H.264 format. I'll be very gratefull...
Same here mate - unable to play them. I personally don't see it as a big deal and just use MPEG.
Grate, thanks for the answer... I was worrying that something is wrong with my HD2
BTW previously I was using HTC TP2 and there was no problem with playing H.264 video format... Any idea why ?
I have no idea mate. It was obviously disabled for a reason though
Well for sure it was ... But still wondering... TP2 is a more likely business smartphone and HD2 rather multimedial device - for music, videos, games etc. So why the function is disabled here ?!

DLNA app

I've looked at other various threads for this, but can anyone post the DLNA related apps that are found in the stock Atrix rom?
I miss the feature of just streaming my movies to my atrix via DLNA. All the other thread solutions find an app that streams from the Atrix to the device. I want the original DLNA app that was in the stock rom that also allowed me to stream to the Atrix from my PC.
I agree, I would love to have the stock dlna app, as I like it better than any I can find on the market. You can try your luck with the bloatware.zip from kennethpenn's alien rom thread but I haven't had luck flashing it through cwm, installing the apk's, or manually putting it in the root file system
It would nice if anyone could give some tips on it,
but for now I use the imediashare app, which is dlna and you can stream from other devices, the downside to this app being is its very bulky, providing many services I don't need/want, I would much rather have the slim stock, and the other downside is, of course, having the i- prefix, which I don't like having on my atrix lol
Hm. I'll give imediashare a try. I really want to be able to use DLNA again. CM7 is great, but DLNA is great too ):
iMS is a great app, its easy to stream to my AppleTV or my buddies wifi tv. I too can appreciate the simple official DLNA app that came stock on the Atrix.. I dont understand why its counted as "bloat" when everyone debloats their ROMs, to me thats like taking away a feature of the phone.
Hm. Could you just extract the apk from a system dump of the stock atrix rom?

[Q] VLC Joe and 4.3

Hey guys.
Ever since I upgraded, VLC Joe only plays audio and not video like it had done before.
Looking at the comments at the Google Play Store, many others have also mentioned this.
Any idea what is going on with my favorite app?
Cheers.

LG G2 192 kHZ 24-bit?

Quick Noob question. The Hi-Res Audio functionality is built in right? Or do we need to activate it somehow with a third party audio app? Thanks in advance!
I'm interested in this too. Does it only work on the stock music player? I assume its only the stock ROM. If someday someone ever writes us an ASOP kernel, could it work on ASOP? Again what music player?
And I'm a noob to HIDEF audio, where are people getting their source files, and any other general notes about using it, and on their phone!
Has anyone found an answer to this yet? I'm curious to know
Yes. It works out of the box. Stock player or PowerAmp playing 192/24bit fine.
