Buying HD2

Any get a good deal on the HD2?
Im due a phone upgrade and looking to get a good deal.
Seems voda have dropped the HD2 in the uk, which is a shame as they offer £100 cashback
tmob not so generous with the cashback.
Im quite happy to buy the phone network free and sort my own etwork if the price is good
Happy to hear your suggestions
I guess all leo owners here did not get a good deal or maybe not want to tell
I will be coming from topaz forum to leo forum next week, i ordered from Tmob uk
best deal so far at mobilephonesdirect
I got mine direct from vodafone.
Free handset £40/month/18 month contract with 900 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited landlines, 'unlimited' data and £90 cashback from quidco - which equates to £35/month.
Order at Mobiles.co.uk through Quidco on Vodaphone or Tmobile and get £50 cashback. Phones unlocked and unbranded.

[Q] Good deals on the Optimus 7?

Hi guys
Does anyone know of any good deals for the Optimus 7 in Britain? I'll consider both contract and handset only.
Thanks
Vodafone contract
Vodafone are offering the phone free for £30 a month (24Months) or £35 (18months). However if you are an existing customer and been on a higher tariff such as the £40 Blackberry you can negotiate the price down by £5 a month by going through the call centre.
So I've just upgraded and taken an 18 month contract at £30 a month with free phone. This gives me 600 minutes and 500MB.
This is significantly cheaper than other networks are offering a WP7 phone, Orange and O2 are £45 for 18 month contracts. I considered the HD7 and Samsung Omnia but opted to stay with Vodafone as the LG had good reviews and 16GB compared to the Omnia. HD7 looked good if not a little bulky but I wasnt going to pay an extra £270 over the lifetime of the contract.
Has anyone found a place to buy the Optimus 7 sim free in the UK? I've got one pre-ordered from Expansys but they still don't have any details on availability.
I'm tied into my contract with T-Mobile until November (damn 18 month contracts) from when I got my HD2 through mobilephonesdirect.co.uk so my only option is to go sim free. I'm not too keen on buying an unlocked handset from eBay (I've seen a few on there but don't know how much I trust them) - I'd like one stock without any of the Vodafone alterations.

Nexus S from carphone warehouse PAYG prices for different networks

Just looking at the deals for the Nexus S. I am already in contract with T-mobile for another 8 or 9 months so locked in really. I have a Xperia x10. I want this babby asap.
Only thing is that the prices are different on PAYG for the different networks
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/NEXUS-S-FROM-GOOGLE/PPAY/NEW
My understanding is that the Nexus S does not come locked to any network, so why is the t-mobile price so bloody high?
Why wouldnt anyone just buy the cheaper version from the offers of the other networks and plug in a t-mobile sim?
That'll be a cockup, that was it's original price.
Besides, just buy it SIM free to avoid the mandatory £10 top up.
I dont understand your first statement. Why would it be a **** up? And what was the original price?
Let me rephrase.... or not perhaps
Is the Nexus S unlocked to all networks by default?
If it is, then why is it £429 on O2 and £549 on T-Mobile?
Where can I buy the sim free version?
You can buy the sim free version on carphone warehouse.
Basically the price difference came from the price change, when it dropped from £550 to £430. Some networks dropped the pay as to go price to match that, others forgot.

I'm in Canada at the moment so thinking of seeing if I can pick one up whilst here that covers the EE bands sim free as it'll be much cheaper. Will have to see how availability is!
SIM-free:
£549.95 from Carphone Warehouse, doesn't say which model it is http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/htc/one-m8?intcmp=HPMini3_HTCOneM8ctaesales_250314
£529.95 from Phones4U, 16GB model http://www.phones4u.co.uk/htc/one/m8/silver?intcid=hero1_htc_one_m8_250314
I prefer Sim-free however its better to wait at that price. Can't justify buying M8 when really its quite a relatively small update over the M7 imo.
Just ordered a SIM Free HTC One M8 in Gunmetal Grey from Carphone Warehouse. Should be here tomorrow.

Isn't Phones4U cheaper at £529.95?
I thought I read somewhere Three were going to get the handset today, but not available on their website yet.

EE (UK) — The 4G-centric network will have the M8 on sale online and via telesales tomorrow, March 26, and in stores on March 27. Customers buying on a £37.99/pm "Extra" plan (£29.99 upfront cost) before April 10 will receive twice the amount of data of EE’s standard 4G plans — taking their monthly limit up to 4GB — for the duration of their contract. To sweeten the deal, EE is also offering customers who buy online between March 28 and April 10 free return flights to one of 12 European destinations.
It's up on Clove to order.

Has anyone had any experiences with buying from Mobile Fun before? Just found this offer, and i'm up for paying the £50 Extra for the 32GB model if indeed it is genuine.
Just wondering if they've listed 32GB as an accident? Possibly...

Bought plenty of accessories, never a phone. Always been fine, though
why do handtec and clove not have 32gb anywhere but in US almost all the models sold are 32gb?
Liking the look of it.
Tried sense 6 on my M7 and im liking that too, never been a massive fan of sense!
Can I justify forking out the cash to update. Undecided! :/
i just walked into phones4u and got one tonight
I've had experience when the One X+ came out that there were barely any 32gb versions available in the UK. I think it must be a conspiracy?! Lol
I have the M7 and want the M8

Yeah. I'm going there to get mine tomorrow too....can't wait ? still can't understand why we only get the 16GB edition though.
Reminds me of the HTC HD2. US got the 1GB version, while the UK only got 512MB versions.

Expansys.Co.UK in the UK have the WiFi+4G version @ £384 and the wifi only at £319
Very.Co.UK are participating in Sony's £30 cashback offer. They also do 12 months interest free credit. WiFi+4G is £429 WiFi only is £329. They used to do 10% of your first order on tablets but now specifically exclude tablets. Still works for phones...
Nigel
Currys have the 16gb both colours for £329 but use code ANDTAB20 gets you £20 off and you can still claim £30 off Sony bringing it to £279.
Haven't checked quidco or top cashback but you might be able to get a bit off again.
Bargain! That makes it cheaper than the tab S 8.4.

Is that just the wifi, as I cannot seem to find on the description of the device. Believe it must be.

That is what I am contemplating.
I have the Tab Z and Ultra and didn't want to spend on this as the Tab S seemed to have more offers.
Hopefully sony will do something on the tab for black friday.
Also note the expansys price is cheap for the lte model compared to sonys price. Wonder if its a uk model or not.
Expansys ships non UK Tab S
Hi
Code Andtab30 for £30 off at PC world today then you can get the Sony £30 off as well
I can tell you that the TAB S LTE from expansys was NOT the UK version, but rather an Italian version, shipped with both the original EU mains adapter and also a cheapo 2A UK adapter. I just flogged my TabS LTE on fleabay in favour of the Sony Z3 which is a whole lot better tablet IMHO
Nigel
I am sure you are right about it being a better tablet, but that's reflected in the price they are going for I guess.
Want the LTE (which pcworld do not seem to have) but likely wait for the z4 in Jan 15 if they don't do anything on black Friday.
Are you getting the Sony from Expansys or waiting for a UK model?

Yes it is just the wifi version. Nice find on the updated discount code for currys/PC World.
Wonder if Amazon will match it as they currently have it at £309.
I'm planning on waiting a bit longer as the Sony cashback deal ends in March 2015. Plenty of time for further price reduction.

Same for me unless sony gives me a price on bf that is 'must buy' but my experience of their sales is that the discount equates to what others are already selling it for, so ends up being useless.
We will see
Bought my lte model from very.co.uk it is a UK model.

Are you looking for the LTE version because o2 have it for £379 and they are giving away a copy of destiny for free. CEX will buy it off you for £13 but you could possibly sell it for £20/30.
So with the cashback the total would be if you sold destiny to cex £336 or sold it yourself sealed for say £30 £319.
You also have quidco which takes 5% off before vat on payg or on pay monthly theres cashback depending on what tariff you go for.
Just to note if you go payg it will probably be locked to o2.
You could also possibly try to get John Lewis to price match them at £379 as I noticed they might be price matching competitors prices for black Friday. Brings the total to £349 with cashback.
Guys check out O2 uk they are doing a offer on the 4g let version with destiny game and you can claim £30 if you have a receipt of purchase.
Bought it from singapore z3 tablet compact LTE white 16gb for 689sgd - 5% = 650sgd for tax refund still pretty cheap compare to sony indonesia.

£375 for LTE version http://www.expansys.com/more/?sbadd...&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Product+Alerts
Sony have the LTE version for £368 at the moment if you use the supposed expired code from October for the £30 off and cradle for £1 offer.
The cradle for a £1 doesn't work but the £30 off does
Dont suppose I will get the other offer for £30 of with sony direct, but at least I get some quidco.
Oh and its unlocked too.
If you post it on hotdeals, hope you refer, all the best.
Picked up the Wifi version from Currys for £275 using the current O2 Priority code (£25 off a £250 spend) and it still qualifies for the £30 cashback - so hopefully total price will be £245.
