Hey,
can someone help with a problem I'm having with the wifi router app, when setting up the app I give my new "network" a name and a passkey then start it up. I can connect to my network with my Itouch but not access the internet? The connection to the 'net is made when the app starts but is then dropped shortly after? Anyone seen this?
Cheers guys and gals, keep up the good work.....

Have you got any spaces or special characters ( ) & * etc in the network name?
No special characters, no. The Itouch can see my HD2, and even connect to it. Once the two are connected the internet connection fizzles out?
I'd like to get this sorted rather than installing another app to do the job. I used to have an Orbit 2 and that worked fine.
Stumped!!
Has anyone been able to get wireless tethering to work on any of their android builds?
Closest i got was with one program off of the marketplace, android says its working but my pc cannot find its signal.
Anyone?
This program is good:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/
But i get this message:
"Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application", because NAT tables are not working.
Bump, anyone got wifi tethering working?
I'm looking for a solution as well.
developers need to implement iptables in kernel for it to work

Hi All,
I understand that the wifi gets disabled during enabling the portable Hotspot in Android (also looked in to the source code to find the same). Í wish to know why the wifi has tó be disabled. I would be very glad to get some detailed Explanation as I am not very experienced in Networking concepts and cant figure it out myself.
Thanks

Morning folks, been having an issue for a while and wondering if you guys can help me. Basically I have a WiFi printer at work that we connect our phones too to print emails we do not actual have Internet at work though so we are always on 4g. Is it possible to be connected to both so I don't have enough to keep connecting WiFi every time I want to print something. Many thanks.

What about Mobile Hotspot......your device will be on 4G and the printer will be connected via WiFi (your Mobile hotspot) [emoji6]
