Where to download the file to the CSC JMC? - Galaxy Tab General

Hi guys and Merry Christmas. I installed the ROM JMC and since I have messed with several previous ROM I installed from "samfirmware, with" a file CSC (because absent in all FW) called "CSC-MULTI-OXXJK2 # #" I do not know if it is okay. So I ask you where to get the file suitable for qyesta ROM? Thanks.

Personaly I used the CSC from the JM6 rom, after the installation I did a full reset a installed the correct region with *#272*YourIMEINumber#
Merry Christmas

In need of help, gathering all that I can.

Hello guys.
I just have one very weird problem with my phone.
Previously, i've been using the asian singapore firmware dxjf4. Today, I decided to flash over to JG5, but didn't like it. So i flashed back to my asian firmware.
What happened is, during the point of flashing, my phone says
E:Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
Then installation of firmware terminated. Therefore, my phone is still bricked, and I don't know how to revert it back to the asian firmware.
When i flashed the european jg5 firmware, i had to add in the .pit 512, the csc, the pda, and the modem. But for the asian firmware, i only need the pda. So did i flash incorrectly? please help!
Do i need to do a factory data reset before i flash?
Or is there a special way to flash from jg5 to dxjf4?
I wouldn't want another firmware as a solution, because the singapore firmware has specific features and i got certain carrier benefits from the 2 year contract phone line that could enable those specific features.
Thanks.
FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HELP ME, PLEASE LOOK AT POST 4. I HAVE SOLVED THIS PROBLEM, BUT MY NEXT PROBLEM IS ON POST 4.
Clear cache and clear settings, Flash again with Asian and use pit 512 and select repartition option.
If no good stay with jm5 til SingTel releases a new rom with csc file.

List of method tried
Hi ickyboo, i've tried your method before. I even went to the extent of doing a factory data reset on adb recovery. But they all don't help.
For the list of methods i've tried:
flashing dxjf4 with 512 .pt
flashing dxjf4 with 513 .pit
flashing dxjf4 with 512 .pit with repartition
flashing dxjf4 with 513 .pit with repartition (but failed)
flashing dxjf4 with csc and modem of jg5 with repartition
flashing dxjf4 with csc, pda, and modem (but failed)
flashing dxjf4 without any pit
wiping cache and data in adb recovery then flash dxjf4 without any pit
...None have worked and they either show up as
E:Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
or (failed) if stated above the list of methods.
Please help me thanks.
I realised where i what went wrong, but the problem is i don't know how to solve it, unless i have the file.
Every firmware comes with the csc and modem. Unfortunately, those provided as samsung firmwares are not full. The csc and modem of dxjf4 isn't there. Without that, i cannot flash over to dxjf4.
To prove it to you, i did a simple test. I used the pda of dxjf4, and the modem and csc of dxjg4 (another asian firmware). It successfully flashed over to the asian firmware. However, the dxjg4 is lacking the apps that i need. So i decided to flash back to dxjf4. And of course, that successfully happened but now..... the applications that i want on dxjf4 are gone. So it is easily concluded that the modem and csc aren't changed and are still using the dxjg4 version's.
Now if anyone could post up links on dxjf4's full firmware (pda, modem, csc) it would be much appreciated. (The singtel (a carrier of singapore) version i mean)
Thanks.
I wish I can help you but like you my Telco Optus (singtel) also only released a new Rom recently and without csc or modem file. Why do you need csc anyways? Are you after apps on stock Rom like "my account"? I'm happy with jm5. There's no reason for me to flash stock unless I want warranty
Sent from my Apple Newton 2100
Ask around for the stock apk's for singtel, I'm sure someone has em. Better yet wait for official froyo from singtel
Sent from my Apple Newton 2100
Ok, I may be able to help you now, I found the CSC files you are looking for here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=763369
Just get the CSC file and flash with your asian rom. Other then that I can't help you anymore as I can't think of another way except sending it into samsung
solved!
hey ickyboo,
i found the solution and i'm happy with it. My friend managed to get for me the stock apps from singtel, plus i used the full fledge dxjg4 firmware. I'm really happy with the firmware and it is nice and snappy.
Thank you ickyboo, and xda of course.
Hi,
can you share with us the stock apps from SingTel?
Thanks.

2.2\I9000XXJPY broke my sms app

is there a solution other than reflashing with another build? my sms app crashes - third party app too, seems the android-function is broken or wasnt updated. wiped both sd-cards, no change..
thx!
Do you get any error message?
yes, when opening the sms-app: sorry! the apllication messages (process com.android.mms) was stopped unexpectedly. try again (in german).
did you do a factory reset?
did you remove any apps from system?
can it be because i used pit: s1_odin_20100803 ?
which one to use? i also flashed without a phone or csc, as i couldnt find the corresponding ones. are these needed? i thought no..
yes those the csc is needed..
also that is the incorrect pit.
you should reflash a complete firmare ie jpo jpu with 512 pit..
then relfash entire jpy wit csc, modem everything and dont use a pit.
thanks, but on these list which csc matches which firmware? i cant seem to find a corresponding csc to the european firmwares:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846913
thx
you are misunderstanding those are entire firmwares that come with the csc and modem in most cases you dont need a separate csc.
here is the direct lins
http://www.samfirmware.com/apps/auth/login?why=pw&try=1&wp=1&next=WEBPROTECT-i9000.htm
it's only a .pit problem. You need to reflash with 512 .pit. check for a full rom like jpu and with re-partition use 512.pit. After upgrade to jpy.
thx, flashing with 3 files from the jp1 package resolved the problem!

flash ke7 over carrier brand (unlocked) ke2

Hi Guys,
I have a meteor (ireland) carrier brand galaxy s2 csc is KD1(met).
I successfully flashed over the ke7 XEU firmware I found by searching these forums.
HOWEVER... after flashing... in kies I get the following message :
This version of the device cannot be updated.
I've read up more and found out that it is because the version of the CSC that I have does not match what kies would be expecting. In this case I would imagine it is a multi-csc XEU.
How should I proceed if I want to make this a full retail generic galaxy s2 that is correctly identified by kies ? Shoudl I reflash with the pda again and with a specific csc file (as I used to do on my older galaxy s 1).
Any advice is much appreciated.
thanks
r1_2010
Just flash with the XEU KE7 file. then do a factory reset for the CSC to change.
KE7 is the latest version for XEU so it will show as latest firmware
Its not the CSC its product code and other codes that may change .
Basic rule is ODIN flash = no upgrade via KIES .

Not the case mate. Odin flash and everything works normally if you're not changing CSC's for the device.
To the OP. Do a hard reset of the device and then flash the firmware again.
Thanks guys for the suggestions. I did a hard reset and reflashed however I still have the prob with the CSC being identified as KD1(met) , baseband XXKE4 and kernel XWKE7 which is fine... with the exception of the csc...
There was only a tar file in the firmware that i downloaded and extracted (which is expected). I remember with my older galaxy s 1 to change the csc I had to actually enter a code and manually change the csc to multi xeu...
Do i need to do something similar with the S2 ?
-- r1_2010
dunno if this help but you can change the CSC using this code after youve flashed
type this into your dialer - *#272*<your IMEI>#
and then select the one you need
Thanks I that but when the preconfig menu opens I can see a 'Sales Code' label beside a textbox , prepopulated with 'XEU' (correctly).
At the bottom of the screen there is an 'install' and 'cancel' options.
I click install but it gives the following error 'Must be THREE chars'
But I cannot edit the text of the sales code , select it or anything else (there is just XEU prepopulated in that text box).
Any more suggestions ?!
I must be missing something....
Ok I've tried flashing again and the same prob... Would our be worthwhile flashing ke2 XEU first and then going to ke7 ?!

All i can say is i know some say that but posts are littered with cannot update via Kies after stock flash.
On SGS1 and SGS2 i have failed to update any stock rom even with the original CSC in place and thats after many tries .

[Tool][Root] Samsung Galaxy S3 CSC Selector XXELLA

Hello S3 Users, i`m the developer of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector
As you know in the new XXELLA rom Samsung changed the security policy and there is no way to change the CSC without root permissions.
I made a new version that should do the work but it is still not on the market. I need your help to test if it working on all XXELLA roms and then i`ll update the market version. It is signed with the same signature so you can just update the old version with this one.
It will require root only if the normal way fails, remember that you need to have root and tick the checkbox
thanks, will try later,
I think it will be better if you move this thread to Apps and Themes Sub Section..Here it will get lost in the hullaballooo..
Awesome
Works perfectly in XXELLA
Thank you very much. Is seems to be worked on rooted XXELLA.
Have recently installed I9300XXELLA and its generally working well. I downloaded and installed your attached .apk and get the same error as the play store version:
"com.android.Preconfig not found on your device. Manual mode..."
Then displays *#272*0105# in the phone app.
I have not rooted the phone so cant check that.

Working with root. Thanks

Does changing csc will wipe data in root mode also?
Edit: it changed my csc from btu to inu but it changed it to kor, I had selected inu, I tried multiple times but csc remains kor.

the tool is invoking the built-in configurator for the CSC Select. It can`t change the csc by itself.
And yes.. the process of changing the CSC will always wipe data
Not working for me: I choose CSC, phone reboots and when restarts CSC is BTU, not the one selected...
Seems that it works like other tools and this one froem terminal window. One solution is to flash with CSC.XXX.zip with only one region and then run app and reboot - look at Perka thread

I have found out that for the multi CSC to be applied successfully, you have to be on stock recovery. I flashed CF auto root by chainfire and suddenly the CSC is applied successfully. Before that, the CSC just would not change.
not work
hi to all
this csc changer not work on xella at all
when install says
com.android.confi....
my phone info is :
ap : i9300xemf6
cp : i9300xxema5

or move you to root the phone

remove carrier branding(UK variant)?

been looking for a few days now how to remove the 3(three) banding from my s10+ it just annoys me everytime i see it when it restarts, so far ive flashed a UK BTU from samflash but that didnt do anything other than make some things french, i then reflashed the 3(three) H3G rom and it appeared to work, until i relocked the bootloader. anyone have any idea how to get rid of the three branding? the phones unlocked but i just hate seeing it. preferably id like to not root this phone as i want to keep my banking apps and what not working.

Hi mate
Seems like something was not done properly during flashing , BTU is an unbranded firmware , it should had worked ,by default the CSC is XEF (France) but if you have your (UK) sim in during flashing it should had recognize it.
No need to root , just flash it again , use CSC file not home_csc , it will wipe everything ( back up before doing any thing)
Check here

The problem is this multi csc rom , they carry many different ones , if is not defined by the sim there is a default csc that is used (XEF) , you can still change languages and so on but if your UK sim is in is a little easier...
Check the link I gave you there is a lot of useful info there.

i misread your post, i thought it said that it wasnt determined by the SIM, which it is even in multi CSC firmware sets. LoL i cant read, which doesnt work well on forums

Hi
Kind of lost Q6?
Latest BTU firmware:
Model SM-G975F
Model name Galaxy S10+
Version Android 10
Changelist 17369399
Build date Fri, 13 Dec 2019 08:37:42 +0000
Security Patch Level 2020-01-01
Product code BTU
PDA G975FXXS3BSL4
CSC G975FOXM3BSKO
What i usually do when a fresh install:
Back up (never forget)
Then:
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.1
3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
4. Open Odin v3.14.1
5. Power OFF your S10+
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode (1st plug-in USB-cable to your S10+!!!), push Bixby + Volume Down buttons, while pushing them plug-in USB-cable to PC
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots
In Odin
load BL / AP / CP and CSC
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
When you do a fresh install you use CSC file , this will full wipe the phone , will leave the phone as new, after that fresh install if you wish to flash again ( for any reason) but do not want to lose your settings then use home_csc
CSC file will do a full wipe , in your case I would use CSC , no need to wipe before or after
