I've noticed that my phone doesn't sync the time and date with T-Mobile UK... so I have to manually set it my self.
I've tried unticking then ticking it again
Rebooting the phone
Rebooted the phone but took battery in between
Anyone else?

Works here on Orange
When I first booted my NS the clock was completely wrong. I turned on network time in the settings and it was still wrong. I left it like that and next time I looked at my phone, half an hour or so later, the time was correct. I'm on Vodafone UK.
Not entirely sure but I think you guys might just be being too impatient! Also note that network time isn't available on*all* networks.

I've done that but it did not work even though in stock rom or cook rom.
Could also possibly be a problem with the network... Masts do break down. Have you tried your sim in a different phone?

may I ask if your wifi policy is set to "when screen off" might be getting the hand off between cell radio and wifi when reconnecting the mothership
How you check that

I'm experiencing the same thing. For the past month or so, my signal bars go from Green to Gray and as a result I lose any connection to Google's services. Such as Gmail, Gtalk, Gvoice etc. Every time I see this, I have to login to Gtalk and the bars go green again. But this fix only lasts from a few minutes to a few hours if I'm lucky. I've been on the Google forum reading about this issue since April on T-Mobile and other carriers, and now since a month ago on Sprint.
Yes that's the problem that I have

I had that problem with my HTC Desire. The problem only appears when there's very little space left in RAM or internal memory...
No this sounds like Google having server issues. I'm seeing the same on my phone.

See it more on 3g. You thing it can be the gaaps cuz I get it back every time I go to gtalk

Hey guys, I was just wondering if someone could help me. I've got my Nexus 4 on EE UK. My signal bars stay blue for about an hour or so meaning that its connected to the Google servers. But then they go grey and all my Facebook notifications, gmail and talk don't come through. Here's the odd part.....if I put the handset in air plane mode and turn it back on it reconnects! Anybody got any ideas????

I have the same problem, with wi-fi or mobile connection. Can't seem to find a solution. However, sometimes it just magically activates itself again and I get a load of missed messages/e-mail etc.

Yup, exactly the same. Not so much with WiFi tho. I did read that if you didn't sign in with your gmail account on first boot then u need to reset your entire handset and sign in again from the very start using the gmail account. Some say it works others say it doesn't.

Well, it's also related to wifi, so I don't know it that'll fix it. But I added my APN myself, just to make sure. Thanks.

Still the same. Loses connections in deep sleep & I get grey bars that switch to blue when I activate the device.
Surely there's a fix for it. Must b. Wonder if manual APN settings would fix it.

Similar problem here - Am on T-mobile UK but the carrier hasn't changed to EE like it had on my previous phone (anybody else like this?)
But yeah, have no issues over wifi but occasionally mobile data stops working and the bars go grey; when activating data connection it sometimes takes quite a while for them to turn blue.
Anybody managed to rectify the issue with APN settings?

Anyone ever figure this out? Switching to airplane mode helps me but this sucks.
Every time I go to shut down my phone the mobile network drops right before it turns off and consequently every time I turn it back on I need to reconnect to my mobile network.
Hope someone can help!

its part of the normal boot process? I don't understand? lol
Because the radio turns off before the OS shuts down. Its normal behavior.

Sounds normal... Unless we are missing something.
I'd be much more worried if it didn't
But I need to reconnect manually every time it restarts. That isn't normal.

The periodic loss of signal was there since day. I still have it on my new one. Others do as well, but one day it went out and never came back on. I believe it was a different issue than just random signal loss. Google said hardware failed in it. You have to contact Google to start an RMA. I'm also not implying that your signal won't come back on at some time either. Personally I would flash everything back to stock. Go to a t mobile store and get a new Sim card and if no signal still then contact Google
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Under settings, then data, then mobile networks, then to network operators.
let it search, even if it doesn't find anything or errors.
Then click choose automatically.
If you frequently travel out of 3g/H areas, you need that checked or the phone won't roam from tower to tower. you will get no signal.
Also, if that don't work, you can try clicking on a network it finds, and let it register, your signal may come back.
This is a common problem with those that don't live in big cities or near full strength 3g/h areas.
The phone doesn't handle tower handoffs well. Crappy LG modems.

I'm currently going through the RMA process over virtually the exact same issue. However, I've been running franco's nightlies lately and up until he restored the HSIC/wifi stuff to stock in r154 I was actually experiencing less data drops and rapid tower swapping (constantly going from 3g to H and back rendering consistent data inoperable). *shrug* I feel as if it's something in the hardware on the cusp of failing because sometimes it does it more and sometimes it does it less. It's rather weird. I'm also on T-mobile towers through an MVNO (Straight Talk).
I just cancelled and switched to ATT go phone.
I have RMA'd 2 devices, tried multpie new simcards, relflashed, tried new radios, and nothing worked.
It no longer switches from 3g to H on ATT network.
It stays in H constantly.
Also, no more signal drops or loss of signal.
I have 100% signal all the time now.
The data is a little more expensive, but worth it for the coverage so far.
It's not your phone, it's the tmobile network.
