Weird market issue - Droid Incredible General

So I have tried to purchase Titanium Backup Pro and ADW Launcher EX. I both cases I got an email saying I need to update my credit card info and that my purchase has failed. I have had no problem purchasing other apps. Anyone know what's up?

Don't know man, just installed Titanium Backup and paid for the Pro version just to see if I'd have any trouble with it. Went just fine so cant tell what the problem may be.
Been meaning to install it anyway.

I've been having problems with app purchases from vendors that are from overseas. Google always stops the transactions and asks to update my payment info. It gets very frustrating but I know this process is to prevent fraud. It's also preventing me to make legitimate purchases.

Just a hunch, but do you guys think that it has to do with the fact that my Google Checkout card is my debit card instead of my credit card ?

I'm using a debit card also. It's strang that some work and others don't.

Any money sent international is a big security deal. My buddy sent me $150 for Christmas from Russia and he had to go through a **** ton of paper work and make phone calls (moneygram is what he used, i assume it's the same for western union though)

Unable to buy "foreign" apps.

Anyone have any idea why I cant buy apps from the UK ect that are listed in the market?...It wont take my default Amex card and keeps asking for a new card. This only happens with non US apps.
thanks.
Interesting...buying foreign currency apps...will only work with a Mastercard, not my Amex. Problem Solved.
I have a visa and everytime I wanna purchase from out of the country. I gotta call visa and ask them to take a hold off for 24 hours they do and it works. I guess they do that for security purposes

Well adding the Mastercard as a second card using Google Checkout worked for me. Didnt have to call anyone..thank god.

Yep, I ended up doing the same last November. Would have been nice if a meaningful error message was displayed by the Market letting us know that Amex is not accepted by certain countries/vendors.

Problems buying foreign apps?

So, I would like to purchase Root Explorer, Beautiful Widgets, and ADW Launcher EX but the purchase refuses to take.
My credit card is fine but the sale always gets held up and then refused. Anyone else run into this?
Buying domestic apps hasn't been a problem, only when I try to buy European apps.
Many US banks block purchases using certain currencies.
I have this issue as well.

I use a Visa Debit, and its blocked all my international purchase attempts. Good safety feature, but you would probably have to call your CC/Bank to authorize it prior to the purchase.
I tried buying the same items but the option to charge my account was always grayed out

Yeah, for domestic apps, I can charge my T-Mobile account.
Thanks for the info. I'll try calling my bank. Maybe I'll start a European checking account...

Streak security?

There are apps I would like to buy, but I flat out don't want to enter a credit card number into a phone. You can send a text and the phone company will donate money to a charity and add it to your bill. Why can't we buy these small apps the same way?
Hopefully coming soon. Not yet available in the Market for some strange reason.

Money back from Google Wallet

So now that Google disabled the Google Wallet prepaid card, how do we get our money back we put on it or have access to it.
I logged on to Google Wallet website and only my credit cards I setup show up, the prepaid card doesn't show up. I would think Google would allow you to see and manage that card from the website, but you can't.
What do you guys think of this situation?
I don't really need the money from the card now, but I would think Google should at least send an email to Google Wallet user explaining the situation with the security of the app and fate of our money.
Right there with you buddy. Its bunk.
I have about $20 invested in Wallet myself
I think you can still use the rest of the money on it but you just can't add anymore. I just used it on Friday.

^^^This is correct.
they still should have sent out a brief email....it would have taken approximately 0 effort on their part.....
if this is the case, then they need to start supporting more major credit card companies....like...hmmm....i dunno.....visa lol
My balance says 0. I did find this screen:

I hope someone like Chase decides to add NFC payments to their banking app. They seem to know what the customer wants.
How about Lucid kernel???

I can't even log into my wallet app, its like perpetual "trying to unlock". I assume it'll be fixed quickly, or at least I hope.

They would if Visa would let them. Visa is trying to do it's own NFC thing and will not make a deal with Google.

Weird I could have sworn I saw visa joining Google Wallet for NFC and that all the paper work was being taken care of lol.. but if visa makes an NFC app then I'm using both Wallet and Visa ^_^

They never removed any prepaid cards. They just disabled adding new prepaid cards.

Speak for yourself. At one point my card was still there but money bank would not verify so it said 0 when i actually did have money on there. Finally, my money<---- not card, is back.
Google re-enabled provisioning last night. All is back to normal again. You can recharge and add prepaid cards again.
But the people who reset their wallet app data during the non provision period are stuck waiting for google. Mine still says prepaid unavailable

I've tried several times but still the same.
Someone have the same issue?
Thank you.
Nope. Mine went through just fine. Were you trying to do the payment plan? It sounds like your credit report came back bad.

I call the bank to verify is everything was ok and they told me that there's nothing to prevent the card for been charged, everything is ok in their systems and I have to comunicate with a Google officer to check what happends.
I dont know why this happends because I already bought an Nexus 5 long time ago with the same account, credit card, and using the same address.
Is kinda stupid you have to insist to make a purchase.

Remove the card from your wallet account and add it back again, then try ordering. That's what worked for me.

I don't think the Nexus phones are available for purchase yet in the Dominican Republic. Either Google recognizes you are on a VPN, or they see you are international trying to use a US-based card. Either way, I am happy to see Google being proactive with security.

As i said, I bought the Nexus 5 with the same account, card and country based.
Google is not being proactive with security if this "proactivity" doesn't allow you to make a purchase.
Banks already has their own security systems, so there's no reason why Google should be that kind of strict in payments options. They're losing business opportunities.
Ill figure out the way to buy it, then, Il post the solution. But I'm sure that I going to get it.
Even i ordered from outside the US and faced this issue several times. Try what i said.

This is what I did. I live in Jamaica but have a USA account with a US bank. I used a VPN on my laptop (hotspotshield) and I ordered using that card and shipped to a freight forwarding address in the USA and my order went through ok, I think I'm one of the first orders to go through too as I noticed the nexus 6 website ended with /nexus/6 so I had /nexus/6p on auto refresh which eventually went live and I ordered immediately.
