JPX source now on http://opensource.samsung.com/ - Galaxy S I9000 General

The GT-I9000 JPX source is now available on http://opensource.samsung.com/

Very old news. Close please.

This its not old news. Thank you op for posting
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

It is actually, except it's in the development section because the general population has no use for it...

About a day and it is old news?
Also I believe the general population is capable of being interested that jpx source had been released realizing that the development community now have it which means exciting times ahead.
That is just my opinion for what it is worth.

What's old news is people acting like admins asking for threads to be closed.

There is also this thread. I don't agree with the way Darkstriker said it, but admittedly, it is a dupe. And whilst it is interesting to know that the JPX code is out to non-coders, it probably wont affect them much.. But it will be exciting to have a final-version Cyanogen eventually.

I think he was trying to develop his ability to take criticism so lets help him out...
Why is this post in developing? You aren't developing anything for our phones!
Wow thanks for being an understanding community. I posted it here because I thought the OP of the thread I saw awhile back would see it quicker in the dev thread.
Also, how do you know I'm not planning on developing something for the epic?
No wonder the epic community is mostly dead apart from a couple devs... so many ungreatful and unhelpful jerks.
Thanks to the first reply with the link!

That's the sad truth right now- and what most of the new members think. But try posting in the questions and answers Thread (stickied)- I usually have success in there. Or try the IRC (chat) channel (I think stickied) for quick answers.

K..that's not helping Once we (they) have the 2.2 source, I guarantee you'll be eating up the custom roms/kernels.. as will I. But for now, we're all anxious and pms-y.

Rules are rules bud. We're just trying to keep things organized
I understand rules fine... but I understand courtesy even better.
There was logic behind my reason for posting here that I hoped the community would understand... if a mod reads this just move the thread.

Keep in mind, I'm pretty sure that's based on 2.1. If on 2.2, my best advice is to not remove the drm apks. (It does caution about media issues, which it def causes on 2.2).

Yeah been there done that lol... I removed those from an EE 2.1 rom and then wondered why none of my music would play.

Don't ask for ETAs, but won't be long...
Nightly are set to build, but at the moment there is general bug that's stopping all the nightly so might be a day or so more waiting!

ETA - (estimated time of arrival)
- sometime this year.
Voila.
This will then become eta on cyanogen 2.3.4 then 2.3.5 then 2.3.6, why do a lot of people here have little to no patience?
Yes we all want the latest firmware, fixes for our phone but please don't clutter up the forums with new threads asking questions which have been answered a thousand times.
Well please just close this thread. It's people like you who scares the developers of. You are actually a real jerk. It's been said 1000 of times "don't freaking ask for eta" and still you do so. How hard is it to understand, how stupid do you need to be for not understanding such a simple message.

Haha i think a lot of you folk need to take a chill pill. If you stop answering eta questions they will stopped being asked. However if you react to them they will keep being asked.

It wasn't against any forum rules?
Whatever, if you are going to delete my threads, delete my user account too.
Bye XDA
This thread could be deleted too.
Doesn't bother me, would just like a reason for the first one... I tried to contribute and be as helpful as possible on xda the whole time I was here, but I think my time is done here... Maybe it's just the Atrix section...
Questions go in Q&A.

Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Making a public post about it where probably 99% of the people reading it have no idea what thread you started, or what was deleted. Send a PM to a moderator, or check your PM inbox, unless of course you want to start an arbitrary thread just for the sake of *****ing.
if your thread was deleted then it probably didnt contribute anything useful or you posted it in the wrong section. threatening to not use the forums anymore is just as useless and isnt going to hurt anyone but yourself since this forum is free for everyone. like others suggested pm one of the mods responsible for the atrix forums and im sure there is a good reason why your thread was deleted, they dont just go around deleting random threads.

I don't fall into the dev worship crap. It is here or it isn't and the amount of time a dev puts into something is actually all on them. That's the nature of voluntering.
You thank them or you slag off and either way volunteers shouldn't expect any hero worship.

Yep. "It is here or it isn't"..... but then if Dev's just said screw it and left us high and dry with stock ROM's, he'd be *****ing about Blur, too. There's a HUGE difference between worship and appreciation. And also a big difference between worship/appreciation, and whatever the hell category he falls under.

They never said it would be released today 29th they just said they would provide an update on the 29th so it could be released next week or even next month.
So why start another thread.. just makes more work for the mods. We have a very active thread on the matter and our own forum mod Veyka even made a sticky for the discussion of JB update. It would make sense to post in one of those. This does nothing but clutter our forums.

There was a rumor across XDA that it may be released today, and most people believed it to be true.
So what if people want to believe it, it doesn't hurt you. People have every right to believe what they want and shouldn't be ganged up on for doing so.

People keep thinking it's possible to port a non-released, non-leaked OS onto any phone they have, this is no different, no matter how many times you say it in the other threads in this Sailfish section, no one will read it and make another pointless thread again and again.

There is no tutorial post for i9300.
Now... Can we just let this thread die? I'm sure the ROM will get to i9300 section if/when its released.

Yeay!!!
We can have so many useless threads that ....tricked yuh, made you think something new happened.
