HTC Magic Keeps rebooting:(

Hi,
I've tried to put the 1.6 version on my HTC Magic.
Information HTC Magic:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.76.2007 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-6.35.10.18
When I was done it said: “install from sdcard complete”.
If I go to Android system recovery, it sais Build: RA-hero-v1.6.2
But if I want to start the magic. He keeps restarting. He doesn't get further then the blue screen of Proximus.
I also can go to the fastboot.
I hope my htc is not broken. Can somebody help me please.
I would be very grateful.

what rom are trying to put on?

ROM: RA-IONv1.6.2H
Actually it doesn't matter what ROM. I only want a 1.6+ ROM. So if you guys have a better suggestion than 1.6, you can tell me. I am very new at this... And I appreciate the help verry much.

Your phone has a New SPL and a new RADIO, which means that it actually supports rom for 6.35 radio. Amon'ra's rom is for old radio only (3.xx series radio)
You can try with sanpei, ahmgsk, capychimp or cursordroid roms in Sapphire develepoment section

Roms for new radio are tagged with [6.35][32A] or NEW RADIO

I'm gonna use the CapySlide v3.
But because my phone keeps rebooting. I don't know where to start... Put the capyslide on my sdcard. make nandbackup. “Wipe – Wipe data/factory reset” and after that “Flash zip from sdcard”. When it sais "install from sdcard complete” or am I wrong? really need help here!!!

None, only sense roms work on new radio/spl

yes you can, just write the hboot specs and i will tell you what to do and you wont brick it if you do it right

First things first do you have custom recovery installed? Cuz if you do not have you must do it, root your phone and and then install custom recovery.
Then download this adnd put on your sd card
reboot to recovery do a nandroid backup
then select install zip and select that file and wait untill it installs and reboots you have eng spl now.
Download then eyegor's radio switcher plug phone (you must have usb debugging enabled) and click flash old.
after that you must download some 2.2.1 nonsense rom and put it on sd card and again flash through recovery.

please reply fast because i wanna get 2.2 as soon as posible
if it messes up and like boot loops and all that cause i have a stock rogers 2.1 sense i updated from them and just rooted with custom recovery from mumilovers thread here. Do i just go to reecovery and click recover nandroid?
cause i did my nandroid a few days before just in case ....
also please give me a link to eyegors radio radio switcher
and do i use any cyanogen version like 6.1 on their stable list ?
do they all support the same hboot and radio your telling me to go to...
also by going on a diffrent radio will it mess up like the 3g and the signal or anything to do with calling or data?

i dont know if the specs was the same
tried to install latest cyanogen mod(latest) via ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1
i tryed theunlockr.com guides...
i can get to the recovery and fastboot
when i bought the phone it was already rooted it had [32b] froyo yoshi 1.8 pancake and everything works... but i was so dumb and tryed install another rom..
I tryed to put many many roms on sd card,install them zip from sdcard and still the same restarting vodafone screen (i waited for half an hour and the same vodafone screen....)

so when u restart it jus goes into the splash screen and does nothin??if yes try downloading the sdk/adb and put the rom into the sd from there an instsll it try that it worked for me

You've got the new 32B radio which a lot of ROM's don't support. After flashing CM you need to also flash the 2708 kernel patch. Search for ezterry on here, download his kernel, put it on your SD card along with CM 6.1 and the Google Apps Add-on, boot into recovery, wipe system/cache/dalvik-cache, and finally flash the 3 files from above. Make sure you flash the 2708 kernel AFTER flashing CM 6.1.

thanks for your response, i did what you said install 6.1 then kernel patch than adoon... and still the same evil red vodafone screen allready 30 min
maybe need do do something with fastboots? or something?

Are you sure that you flashed the 2708 kernel? Could you tell me the filename for the kernel you flashed?

it doesnt matter anymore...BIGER PROBLEM..
i folowed one guide how to downgrade to 1.6 it sucess and i was so happy... BUT then i realised i install my toch 3g rom version or something... and know my phone is sim loked... i supose similar like it was in just boughted phone...

Google the APN settings for whatever carrier the SIM card is with. At the Google activation screen, hit menu, then wireless networks, then "Access Point Names". Either edit the existing entry to match the settings for your carrier or add a new for your carrier.

i get it worked and at least i can use it like a Phone
i try to root it with one click root but superuser permisions dont work,because of that i cant install clockwork recovery trought ROMmanager (it says An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands)
maybe i need to try another rooting metod or something..

Try using SuperOneClick. You may need to install superuser from the market after running it.

[Q] Recovery help please

Ok, so I have spent hours trying to get this fixed and am just not having any luck. I'm sure the information is right in front of me, but nothing I am trying is working.
I updated my friends HTC Mytouch 3G to Stock 2.2.1 using a thread from here(i forget which one) and rooted using one click.
He now wants to install a different ROM such as cyanogenmod, however, now I cannot seem to get a recovery installed.
Boot screen says:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013 (SAPP30000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-2.22.28.25
We tried installing Amon's recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530492 , and tried installing an engineering SPL from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019&highlight=fastboot and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548218&highlight=0013 (because at some point we were getting the fastboot remote: not allow error
and cannot get either method to work.
Hboot just does not seem to find a valid image...
Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe i'm just trying to make this to hard.

Just use ROM manager to reinstall the recovery. If your previously installed a custom ROM though, you should already have a custom recovery installed.

I thought we had already tried the Rom Manager, I'll give it another go.
Just to clarify though, the only thing I did before was upgrade to the stock 2.2.1, and rooted the phone. We didn't install any custom roms.

first of all, apologise me to be noob on Android and for my english. I'm more specialised on Iphone but my girlfriend has an belgian proximus HTC MAGIC 32A and here are the specs :

since yesterday, i'm reading the forum and try to understand how to upgrade this 1.5 rom to a 2.2 froyo rom
the only thing i could to actually is to install through linda file manager the 1.5.2H revovery.
I see for upgrading to cyanogen 6 or ( if you know a better rom), i need to upgrade the radio and SPL to 6.35.10.18 Radio and 1.76.2007 but i'm really lost with all the versions and i don't know anymore what to do
can please someone launch me on the right path to try to flash this magic ?

ok. i begin to get something but i can't use fastboot because i think it's due to the fact that my magic is not detected from the pc(unknown device).
i just could, through the recovery mode, install the zip 1.33.2010
and i got now :

ok, i'm on froyorider 2.1 after a lot of troubles and thought even that it was bricked because it restarted in loop on the home screen provider and not OS.
But , this rom hasn't android market and i tried to install the version 2.2.6 apk but without success.
it installs it correctly but when i strat the app, it closes imediately.
can someone bring me the light please ? thank you

Fix permissions of market app. They must be same like other system apps have.

i suppose, you mean fixing the permissions one android market is installed ? and if it is the case, which app do i need to use to fix the permissions ? or can i maybe connect in ssh or an another way to explore/navigate the root folders ?

With Root Explorer you can do it easy.
Don't forget about button 'Mount R/W' before fixing. Folder /system/app must be in r/w mode.
BTW, FroyoRider has market! As it has CM-core, so google apps packed in other package...

And flash it from recovery.

to be honest, i'm an iphone addict and Android seems to become mature and 2012 will be the android year. The market begin to contain most of my iphone apps and i like the way Android works
i'm just very sad now because with my micro sim and the adaptor, i broke the pins of my htc magic and it doesn't detect anymore my sim card i hope there is a way to chage that part to be able to use it again ((

The conventional way is to start with a Golden Card.
Then the Europe RUU with superuser permission.
Then the SPL/Recovery.
Then the ROM's you like.
