hey guys, i was wondering if you guys can do a printscreen of the types of clocks you have installed on your phones
i am interested in downloading a nice analogue clock onto my Desire, but cant find any nice ones.
So was wondering if people can display what clocks they are using and the name of it too.

I would really suggest you to download "Custom Clock Widget" from the market. It looks ugly in the screenshots but it's the best analog clock out there imho You can choose everything by yourself: numbers, pointers, frames, shadows, background etc... The only downside is that you won't get to alarms by tapping the clock.
This thread sounds like a bad innuendo.

i know it's not appropriate to request such thing here, but i've been searching for something like this a while... a simple app showing the clock on the today screen without more crappy add-ons like HTC Home. Anyone... please?
Great idea
ill second this, wood be great to have it next to my bed as an alarm clock, a nice full screen simple digital clock
it wouldnt even need to worry about power usage because it would be on charge
i'm not referring to full screen. Just a Htc Home like clock but without tabs and fluffy useless content

Check out battery status. It is highly customizable. I am using pieces of the theme from the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372984
Like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344870 ?
not analog but a big digital clock. I'm testing Battery Status right now and it looks awesome but i want to disable all the other functions. Thanks for the help offered
good luck finding this, i've searched high and low and there is no plug in with just a nice big clock. tried battery status yesterday but it also has a bunch of stuff that comes along.
give this a shot http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-dr-puttingham-samsung-time.html
my device is VGA and that plug-in is too small for me
you can use rltoday.. if u want just a digital or analog clock.. it doesnt come with all the battery status stuff..
you can create your own skin or you can go to their forum and search for the desired skin...
edit: found these two skins
http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1044
http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=445
you can modify skin.xml to suit your needs..
the best solution for now is rltoday with a custom skin. Attached 'em, thank you all for the support

I'm of the same idea, I've made a simple skin that show a digital clock "identical" to the one of the HTC Home.
Sorry, but for now I can't post the code and a screenshot, you have to wait the next week...
Ah... I have a VGA screen, so my skin is perfect for you
i did the same thing with RLToday. I have the digital clock and the msg notifications, nothing else.
Anyone know if there is a font that looks like the Alien Round found in HTCHome Customizer?

Tried this? Much lighter than RLToday. You can customize size, font, style, alignment...

another CLOCK ....
SpoonWatch1.1
^^**^^**^^**^^
The SpoonWatch will present the date and time on your mobile device with big fonts,
easily readable during the night and all with zero clicks.
Features:
² Big and Clear fonts— for night use.
² Automatic popup after turning on the device (can be turned off)
This version will work on Windows Mobile 5 or 6 only.
enjoy .....
the best solution i found is AlDate. Extremely low memory footprint, totally customizable (font, size, date, time, sec...) It is posted in this thread
My first theme, a science fiction theme based on the X3 interface and some simple sci-fi elements. The images say it all, so, screenshots attached. Used background attached as well. Install using Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 or higher.
It's not perfect yet, the clock needs some work for now.
Very Nice Job!!!!
I'm always looking for new Themes........
Thanks
Mike
Thats awesome. Keep em coming
Can you please post the manilla file with the clock ? or tell me wich one in the .zip file is... thank you.

Wow!
Keep up the good work!
Don't really like the clock, but I love the program-tab!
How's the image-quality, because the screenshot are a bit blurry?!
Maybe an idea to make the big-icons (center of screen while selecting a tab) a little bigger?!
Would be great!

1bbfdc9b_manila and 4e670504_manila would be the clock files. Copy them to your Windows directory and note they work best against a darker background.

The large icons are slightly blurry, and therefore not any larger than this. I think they're almost at their max currently, so much larger wouldn't have been possible anyway. You won't notice the blur in action, though, due to the beautiful sharp screen of the Diamond.
hi tha_rami
it's nice! what's wrong with the clock btw?
The transparency on the clock gives a bit of an odd effect when the numbers change. Sadly, I've found no way to change that animation and thus had no choice but to either leave it at that or make some lame background for the clock (an idea I detested), so this is the best possible given the possibilities available to me.
Let's conclude that I'm happy with how it turned out and searching for inspiration for another new, unique theme.
Thank you very much
hi
very beautiful! posoono not only have the files without all the theme?
I have a TP2, with Manila 2.1 and WM6.5. How do I get rid of the @#$%^&* flippy clock without installing Manila 2.5?

Thanks, but this doesn't seem to allow replacement of the flippy clock, it just makes it better behaved. Unless I'm reading the intro message wrong.
"Flick" up anywhere on your home screen and the clock will change to a smaller, non "@#$%^&* flippy" one. It isn't the best looking, but it might be what you are looking for.

Thanks, I know about that one. Ideally, I'd like to find something like the old HTC Home Customizer, which would offer a selection of clock fonts and styles.

Have you seen Cookie's Home Tab - you can choose an analogue clock or keep flip clock but disable the animation and/or have a smaller flip clock.

Did you not read his first post? He said he doesn't want to install Sense 2.5.
The steps previously posted work to stopping the flipping clock in 2.1, I tried it and no more flipping animation .

Which steps? Did you just stop the flipping, or actually change the style?
The link in post #3. Just install the cab and it stops the flipping (believe only in portrait but I really only press the home button when in portrait anyway) and it does not mess with your current clock style .

Looks like this tool doesn't really change the clocks, and a number of people who tried it had serious problems and couldn't uninstall it. I think I'll pass.
Hello,
As I'm reorganizing my main home screen (HTC Desire), I find that the original HTC 4x2 takes up too much space especially because I don't care about the weather part of it.
I do like the "flip clock" design though.
I have looked around for an alternative and have found the following solutions:
BeautifulWidget small home widget
This looks nice, especially with the right skin, but it's still a 4x1 widget and the clock itself is not centered even when hiding the weather part of it.
Is it possible at all to have the clock centered?
Digital World Clock widget
This one is a 2x1 widget without weather, which means I can center it at the top of the screen. Unfortunately the date display is bogus on a French locale phone, it does not respect the date format(day month year) and the name of the day of the week (Thursday) gets displayed as a number (5)
I have contacted the author about that, I'll see if he replies.
In the mean time, would you have any other suggestions for this?
Regards
Olivier
Hey,
You could try "Retro Clock Widget", free in the market. Has clock and date functions in separate 2x1 widgets. Not sure if it solves your date issues though.
Good luck.
Thanks, I did see that one as well but the date is not on the same widget as the time so it's not fitting quite well with what I'm looking for.
I sure looks nice though.

Thanks, but I could not find a way to configure it as a 2x1 widget without weather
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I use Flip Clock Large (used to be in the market, isn't any more, but you can still find the APK on the web) It's very similar to the original HTC Clock, but without the weather.
I had awesome 2x1 flip clock widget that is part of cMiui ROM, but can't find it anywhere as a standalone widget... please help.
Here is an image of it:

I tried that one, but it doesn't flip when unlocking, to show how many minutes has passed... this is something I really liked on cMiui flip clock widget and can't find it anywhere. It's driving me nuts
This looks like MIUI flip cloc widget:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298151&nocache=1
BUT it doesn't flip!!!
it is just a static clock widget
In particular the wallpaper and clock widget.

This is set up just how I would like it
Cheers!
The wallpaper is attached. The clock might just be Digital Clock widget, but not 100%

Thanks for the wallpaper, been looking for it for ages.
I found it here:

you can use Google translate to see what he's using in the setups.
You could make digiclock look like that. It's free on the market.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
You can get a clock like that with Minimal Text widget too.
There is definitely a MT-widget, at least in the down part of that home screen, so it is highly possible that the clock is made with that too.
Other widget that looks exactly like that is called Digital Clock Widget. Search it on market!
I'd post a link to my current setup that looks exactly like that, but as a new user I can't do anything.
EDIT: Here's a text link: i.imgur.com/A86Jg.png
I have some text bolding there, but everything can be changed with Minimal Text widget.
