I have this random section in my wallpaper choices. I have "Live Wallpapers" "media gallery" "wallpapers" and the one I don't understand is "wallpaper gallery" which has one colorful wallpaper and one blank image. That is all I cannot figure out how to get rid of it and it is very irritating. Anyone know how to get rid of it.

It looks like you're using LauncherPro. It's an amazing must-have app, but it does add a wallpaper section like that. It's dumb because you can't really get rid of it. LauncherPro's developer is the only one who can remove it, unless someone wants to hack his app...

}
?
Had to Google for a pic as I had no idea what you were on about
yea, dats wut i m asking....hahah....thks so much!
Good, the standard contacts app has it... see the grey thing on the right? Slide it up and down!
Another option is to use the gesture search app. Have a shortcut on your screen to it, activate it and type the name of the contact you're trying to find. I find it quicker to access contacts in many instances.
Hey guys,
Is there any way to hide the name of the icon on the "desktop" or "springboard" if you will... They are so unattractive, and hiding the apps names wud sure give it a sexy edge.

You can do this in preferences with Launcher Pro.

I use Better Cut to change desktop icon names. A blank space results in a "no name" icon, like my Uninstaller icon...

So at least that way, I can use the stock UI and get icons w/o names.
Hello
I have a question. Is it possible to have a dockbar on our x8 that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And if it is possible, can someone tell me how? (detailed if possible would be nice) =D
Thanks!
Most launcher can do that. If you have the dock image, just set it as custom dock. As for the phone and drawer shortcut, select a blank png.
Look at my signature for an icon thread. You can find similar text icons there.
Cool, but how can i make the phone icon so wide? It seems to me that it takes the space of almost two icons.

Ever since I first got my transformer I've wanted the google search / voice command bar in the top left hand corner of honeycomb's desktop to be gone, but there's been no quick way to remove it.
Picture for reference:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone up for the task?
It's not possible to do that, sorry. It's built into the OS code. If you're rooted, you can remove it but it won't give you extra homescreen space anyway.
Except for the Google music widget

Have a look at using another launcher. ADW or Launcherpro are good ones and very customizable.

Yeah bro just dl another launcher lol
If you're rooted, you can remove it...how?
I actually like MOST things about LGs UI over vanilla, but one thing I can't seem to get to my satisfaction is the messaging theme.
There is options to change it I know, but the bubble color and background options you are given are so ridiculous. I would switch to a 3rd party app, but I LOVE the way stock has the pop ups.
Anyway, how do you guys have your messaging themes? Have you set a custom wallpaper?
I've attached mine, I actually think it's decent. I wish we had a way to add more bubble colors.
