I need to have my HTC TyTN repaired but have been unsuccessful in finding anyone who will do this -- needs to have its original ROM reflashed.
HTC in US only handles branded phones and HTC in Europe doesn't seem to recognize US customers. I can't find any other HTC links.
I've been without my cherished little TyTN for 2 weeks and really need it!!

Howto Unlock
How do i remove my simlock from my htc magic. Is there special hardware equipment needed.
I understand that the simlock mechanism is separate from the firmware mechanism.
Can somebody give met technical details?
They are already unlocked.
Vodafone edition of the HTC Magic works with all carriers, so no need to unlock
does that apply to germany as well?

celester340 - if you are in the USA you can get an unlocked Magic from ImportGSM.com - thats where I got my Rogers Magic and using it on AT&T with full 3G. If you are not in the US, the Vodafone units are the way to go..many on-line places to get those.

And if you are with T-Mobile US, your only choice is the Google Ion as of now. By month end, T-Mobile will release its version of the HTC Magic (myTouch 3G).

warranty in HTC portugal is for 2 years so HTC provides internacionaly 2 years warraty.
Reason of selling, i got tired of the phone and want something better. Nexus one problably
Beside the phone beeing rooted in portugal the warranty works without issue, you just have to put the original SPL at least and everything will be OK.

its almost as new the phone, just small scratches on the backplate, you cant see but is normal of the use.

I bought a unlocked touch dual off ebay and want to upgrade it to WinMo6.1
from HTC website, but it says that my phone cant be upgraded. I called HTC and they said that its becuase I'm using T-mobile and have to get it throught them. T-mobile doesn't offer any support for the phone so I cant get it from them. Am I out of luck with upgrading and have to stick with 6?
I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff so any help is appreciated.
Hello would anyone be interested in a couple of weeks old htc magic (32b)in white it is factory unlocked to all networks inc 3 it has a 4gb mem card comes boxed with everything and in mint condition it has recovery mode and spl 2005 installed and has been rooted so you don`t have to take the chance on bricking i want to get the touch hd or xbox 360 elite(not banned or modded) so if you wanted to swap i`d deff be up for it. if i`m not allowed to sell this here can admin move it and sorry if it offends. just thought xda was the perfect place for this as most ebayers wouldn`t have a clue what i`m going on about when it comes to rooting etc lol thanks for looking
