Android on ARM920T phones? (like Trinity.. ;-))

Dear all,
as I wrote on this other post (excuse me for crossposting - please mods to close the wrong-placed one):

there are two guys that recompiled Android for ARMv4 processor - like ARM920T, the trinity processor!!

They are working on the Freerunner and Neo1973 devices.. but the processor is the same..
Anyone out there wants Android on our beloved trinity?
At the moment I have no spare time (and skills) to take the challenge.. but I hope that someone will do.
I think that with the source code the CLZ and Thumb mode issues are completely addressed.
Anyone could confirm this to me?

i'm also interested to see android on my htc hermes. i'm waiting benos new blog entries to see if he was able to run the code on "Neo1973".
What is the diference between htc hermes and htc dream (g1) regarding other chips beside the prcessor?
i don't think that drivers included in android can cover all chips in hermes. can someone maybe make an list of same and different devices(chips) in this 2 devices?

So this is the same OS that the G phone is sporting yeah?
If The flashing process isn't harder than the current process then I'd be up for this. Also will it brick the phone?

This is what we can try. The openmoke images are out. Since the openmoke is very like the p3600 we could give these images a try. The images are located over here.

getting killed because of low memory conditions (the browser

thrashing for memory even before it's done starting the system server
(if it can even start it at all).

....but forget about running exactly these images on your trinity units.
It won't work
I don't want to digg your hope but there's a lot to do to make it real.
First:
You'll need a kernel that suits to trinity and offer some features the android OS needs.
Second:
You'll have to modify the image in jffs2 format to get loaded on trinity or build up a tricky environment to mount these image files after booting the kernel.

Android don't run on the ARM920T used in Neo1973.
In the following site

where are described all the ARM cpu.
Android framework is compiled for the ARMv5 architecture version, so run on
the all the processors that belong to this architecture version and also in
some cpu of the new architecture (ARMv6/v7).

on HTC vox wat i was using 2 weeks ago they builded a ADNROID rom !!! But they have only clock working but working !!! (no gsm,no edge,no menu,....)

a new step per day, some time good new, other time bad news..... lets get hope that android will run on trinity...

(ASK) Instaling problem on elfin...

So let me goes straight in to the problem...
I just bought my self a nice elfin...and i really want to put some nice application or games on it...
But i had a problems with some of the instalation...such as :
i'm installing .NET CF 3.5...the process is going smoothly, but when i looking at the program list,,, there's no icon of the program....but when i check it on the remove program list...the program is there....
is it the program that run on the background or what seems to be the problems ?
This also goes with the program rlToday, spb..and etc....
I wonder whats wrong with it...some programs are ok, but some others can not run....
and yes i'm using activesync....
Is there any problem with my ppc ? or is there any required program needed to installing such an application ?
what is compact framework is ?
Please guys...help needed here...i'm eagerly modifying the look of my elfin and add niceprogram that i found in this forum...

Before we start, is your HTC Genuine?
Your phone is Windows Mobile 6.0 or 6.1?
.NET CF 3.5 shouldnt show up in your programs as it is something like Adobe Flash, when the program needs it, than it will run.
If you above answers is a yes, you can flash to one of the ROMS here like Onyx 4.7 or SX.

Well, considering you are new, I am not sure if I should go easy, as you should have recently just read the rules on posting on XDA.
But anyways, feel free to use the search feature, it is very useful.
For roms, go to the rom section, find and run DSIXDA's device_info.bat which will give you all your tech specs about your phone, and will enable you to find a rom. Read all the stickies as well, as these will inform you on what you need to do to be able to run a custom rom.
For themes, you can check the Windows Mobile Themes section. This will give you lots of ways to customise your phone.
Also, What was the shouting for, Caps Lock day was some time last week...
Performance wise, there is limit to what the elf can do, it is an aging device. But there are some overclock programs etc out there, and task managers to help keep your ram free, some roms come with a camera hack which disables the camera to save about 3-4mb of ram, or there abouts.
Now its up to you to have a search, if you have any questions, make sure you post in the correct thread. Due to the age of the elf(in), it is highly likely someone else has already had the same issue or idea or query.

GRJ22 (NexusHD2 - Gingerbread v2.8 NAND);
if anyone can tell me why i cant download from market, and how to deploy applications from my pc to my phone and install them, pls tell me something i need to know about android, market and applications... thx for help
market problem:
I chose one game on market and window pops up, it finds my phone, but after that, nothing heppens, it just mark that game as 'INSTALED' ... but i cant find it.
problem with applications:
im useing MyPhoneExplorer for 'syncing' phone to pc, but i dont know how to sync applications that i download in .zip or .rar format.... pls help me

Hi,
If you use AndroZIP File Manager, you can extract both ZIP and RAR files and install the apps they contain.Use a card reader and place the apps on your sd card.
In terms of the market,are you able to download anything at all?
Try re-downloading.

[Q] Fooling the market in Aurora ICS

Hi, everytime I change the ID of the phone it breaks the camera on ICS.
Is there any way to fix this?

exactly man , i experienced same same thing in previous versions of aurora . i did the desire hd change as given in applications tab ( " how to play gameloft games ") and the camera didnt start .
but in aurora 2.04 it works fine . here is what i did . it will surely work now. -----
