I just wanted to thank people here at xda for putting a lot of hours on making custom roms. I have tried many of them and I have to say they made my phone run a lot smoother. It is exciting to visit here find out a new rom is available to try.

Its people like you who make devs not want to develop anymore. The poor guy just wanted to say thanks for making his phone more awesomer than it already was..... and You guys are kicking him out not cool , not cool at all

Unfortunaly bro, gratitude is not appreciated here. However im sure the Devs are grateful for your "thank you". Its those who were not taught respect and want custom roms built only for them who will flame you.

I felt that way after finaly getting the GPS working on my Vibrant! I just thanked the Dev.

hey. Not tryin to add fuel to the fire here seeing as we are all here to enhance this great phone. I noticed that Bierce called it impossible, that was said about a lot of things. I'm not doubting you in any way I'm just the type of person who will always give it a try. I'm only 15 and not exactly to good at deving or anything yet, buti am learning. I know that dastin is the expert porter here but his life is hectic right now. I can't promise anything at all, butif someone could point me in the direction of where to learn how to port, I could give it a go. Who knows, maybe I can get it started on the way and one of the more experienced devs can hammer it out. Worth a shot, eh. Sorry for my poor English, I'm still getting used to my to keyboard.

the thing is its not that there impossible it just seems like all he does is scavenge other forums looking for wierd stuff to port like the other day when he was asking someone to do the miui port from the mt3g and he didnt even bother reading the thread because 2 posts down they were complaining that it was just a themed rom and not miui.

ahh I see. I fully understand why you had to "flame" him a little then. I understand why he wants stuff ported but it is important to realize welose people every day. I'd be glad to start work on it if anybody would have interest in assisting

this thread needs to be closed before the flaming gets anyworse.

Haha, sorry guys. I was only trolling. Can't believe this phone got moved to this section with so much activity. You know, I have the HTC Hero, and the first time we got moved to legacy devices there were so many people causing an uproar that they moved us back out. You could try the same and make a thread, and if enough people complain they may move you back out in the open...

How does one get access to posting to the dev forums on roms? So let's clear the way and let's see what come out of it. I'm surevill lure in the other noobs too and hopefully I can help with this

I think its just to get people to read a bit first rather than blasting in with their first post being "How do I do this?" which has most likely already been addressed in the thread.

Just go into the xda app settings and select none or custom if you want to put something else to replace it. Press the menu button to access the settings menu.
