[Q] Volume from headphone jack...... - Streak 5 General

I have searched the site (streaksmart's too) and have found that many have complained about the low volume output of the headphone jack (myself included), though I have not found a fix.
Has a fix been found/created?
I am running official 2.2 318 build with performance enhancements.
Thanks in advance!
Not sure if this should be in the general forum..

Has Bluetooth volume been resolved in djsteve 2.2 (1.3) ?

About to go and buy a carkit if it has?
Can you please ask questions regarding Steve's ROM in his thread then the forum will not get spammed with lots of questions that can be better answered in his thread thanks
What do you mean volume issue? If you mean that the bluetooth output is incredibly silent, then no, this issue has not been resolved. I was wondering if this was an existing error. Compared to my iPhone and my carkit, the volume on my streak is half as loud or worse. It's better to just use speakerphone, sadly.
It's (almost certainly) a firmware issue, but COULD be firmware working around a hardware failing...
I keep posting that something has changed between 1.6 (which was loud but kept breaking up on BT phone calls) and 2.1 (which doesn't break up but is far too quiet). But I never get any feedback on it, which I can only assume means no-one knows!!
We'll just have to see what the official 2.2 brings I guess, and see if it can be lifted out for Steve's ROM, perhaps?

[Q] Best ROM for Audio/Video/Mic Quality

Folks,
I am experiencing low mic volume output after installing cm-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-p5110-M3 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab p5113. The application we are testing is video and in this case the mic volume is really low. This is a tablet to tablet skype like video session. Here the other end perceived very low Audio coming from the Tab with the CM-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-p5110-M3. Stock ROM mic levels were fine. I read through a bunch of the forum and saw some folks noting this issue with other older CM builds.
I was able to install the Alpha Widget app and it has a mic gain control function. Does anyone know what this gain control actually manipulates within the Android OS/Kernel? It would be great to manually manipulate this mic gain at OS / CLI level.
Is there any file/value that I can modify at the OS level to manipulate the Volume output of the Mic?
Any other ROM's that you might recommend that handle mic volume/Audio/Video better than the ROM mentioned above?
Thanks in advance.

Low volume from wired mic in all custom ROMs

Hello guys and gals
I've been trying a lot of custom ROMs for our beloved 9T, and as is usual they all have their little bugs and quirks, some more some less.
However, one problem I noticed affects ALL custom roms for our device (well, the ones I tried at least) is that the microphone audio from any wired (3.5mm jack) headset has a VERY LOW VOLUME. Whenever I record a voice note in Whatsapp or any other app, or when I have a meeting with Google Meet, or even just recording my voice with a Voice Recorder app, it's extremely quiet, unless I talk right into the mic.
This was not the case on MIUI, so it's clearly a custom ROM issue. I wanted to know a couple of things:
1) I'm not crazy right, external mics DO have low volume on custom ROMs, yes? Or is this some issue specific to my device?
2) Any workarounds/solutions you can suggest?
By scouring the forums and searching on google, I think the problem is some misconfiguration in the /vendor/etc/mixer_paths_idp.xml file, however I have no clue which values to modify, since from what I read the values you should change are different depending on the device.
Any help or suggestion on this matter would be appreciated.
