Have a Q about the Liquid Metal - PDAdb says it got a FM radio, but according to the salesperson there's not. What's up? Disabled in firmware? If so, can we bring it back?
Liquid Metal S120 does have FM radio built-in but it's unactive for now because of a bug. Sofware update will arrange things, Acer hasn't release the necessery update yet but there's a leak available over at Modaco ("Other" section).
I have FM Radio with this ROM...
http://android.modaco.com/content/other/328884/rom-metalounay-1-1-acerless-18-01-2011/
By far the best rom so far for Liquid Metal. I have set SetCPU to 1,5GHz and works flawlessly! I got in Quadrant score 2606!
Besides that, you can install all your apps to SD card.
Acer has just officially released an update 1.100.16 that brings FM radio to life, corrects some bugs (GPS) and a major speed boost.
The only custom ROM (by vache) has been updated too (v1.2).
Enjoy
Please port the CyanogenMod 7 for Acer Liquid Metal

Some friends to see some old products U8800 can upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 version of the expectations and concerns. Huawei Mobile R & D focus to a more leading ICS4.0 version up, with the fastest speed for the main products directly upgrade to 4.0, not 4.0 upgrade also try to upgrade to 2.3, unless some of the hardware capabilities are limited. Another, Vision Honor and other new models offer 2.3 version listed on the first, and then will be the fastest speed up the upgrade to version 4.0!

Dear community,
I think, pictures say more than thousands of words:
It is (ICS/JB 4.0.3 - 4.1.1):

}
It was / It has to be (GB up to 2.3.6):
And now some information:
These issues occur only in apps with special effects (maybe OpenGL ES 2.0), for example live wallpapers like this (Inferno Galaxy) or games like Reckless Racing 2 or enything else. Pictures, videos and anything else doen't have this issue.
The subpixels seems to be like a "raster" and - to my mind - it looks like a PenTile-Matrix. The red subpixels are the worst ones.
I have this issues in every ICS/JB-based rom and in all Samsung-based ICS-kernels (Siyah, Speedmod, Chainfire etc.)
So here my theory: It could be an issue (maybe in display- or GPU-driver) which was ported from the Galaxy S3 to our S2. The S3 has a PenTile-Matrix and the S2 has full RGB-pixels, so there must be differences in the drivers.
But in fact, I didn't found anything about this issue. So: Is there anyone else with such issues?
Best regards,
Sascha
I notice this on wanamlite 12.4. And have also seen it on samsung 4.03 builds too.

Any help to eliminate this issue?
Down in Norfolk UK Paul O’Brien is enjoying this beautiful weather we are having. But not content with just sitting back Paul through his MoDaCo site has been busy releasing a video of MoDaCo.Switch. The video shows how he is working on users being able to swap/jump between Google Android edition (AOSP) and HTC Sense.
While we applaud Paul for his ingenuity the switching between ROM’s will use your battery as you will have to choose the ROM you want and reboot. However the good part of this is both ROM’s will be sharing the same data. So all your data, apps etc will be available (and the same) on both Google and Sense.

The video includes how the ROM will be based on the 2.24 European HTC One (Android 4.2.2) and the Google Play edition ROMs. Perhaps key here, it was said that MoDaCo.SWITCH is “coming soon.” That aside, the video does mention how this build is currently being testing in an effort to squash any remaining issues and bugs. Checkout Paul’s video over at MoDaCo site

Hello T817T owners.
A Youtuber asked for a T817T Rom , but as we all know , nothing in custom rom world
available (yet) for this device.
He wanted a Rom with everything working less apps etc ..
and it being Android 7.12 did not matter to him.
I,m No Developer , but made this build for him and maybe others ,
made it as well for my T713 , works very nice battery life almost for ever.
This rom is a deboated version of the Original ,
allot of more space and less demanding. but never tested
and I cannot test it myself.=..
Can somebody ,confirm if this works ?.
then I can finish the ROM .
Thanks so much

First thanks for the great work here, great thing!
I have an S5 Neo 903F for my daughter and successfully flashed
* TWRP 3.6.2
* Danys latest version (lineage-18.1-20220819-UNOFFICIAL-s5neolte.zip)
* latest GAPPS pico
Basically it works, but I have no NFC and neither GPS any more? The symbols are simply missing in the system icon drop down at the top?
..tested some more:
LOS 17.1: Same prob, neither GPS, nor NFC
GApps Mini: Same
Stock ROM (6.0.1): All fine, GPS and NFC working.
In TWRP I just did wipe -> factory reset after I re-installed the stock ROM and booted it.
I spent now ~16h in flashing different combinations and the stock ROM in between, had a big learning curve, regarding this.
So far I am quite sure, that I cannot be the only one with this prob?
-------
So do you all really have working GPS with the latest software here?
If yes, what could be my fault?
Best regards
QD
