Updating bundled launcher

I am running Fresh Toast 2.1, which has LauncherPro beta bundled. I was wondering how I can update the bundled launcher because it seems that the dev is releasing updates at a breakneck pace. He just released a new version yesterday with a few fixes I want, so I would like to update. It would be awesome if I didnt have to redo my layouts. Would it be best to follow the process of removing stock apps and reinstall it as a market managed version?

Upgrade rooted 1.5 to 2.2

Hello there.
I'm currently having a rooted HTC Hero with the 1.5 ROM. I would like to upgrade it to the latest version for the Hero. The phone says I have one new system upgrade but I'm unable to complete the upgrade because I have a rooted phone.
So is there any XDA-guide to follow for upgrading a rooted device?
Best Regards
SH

there isn't an official upgrade to 2.2.
you could install a custom froyo rom (such as froyd villain) or upgrade to a more stable rom (such as chocolate eclair or vanilla eclair)

You're right. The official is 2.1 but how do I upgrade to that version with a hacked device?
See http://villainrom.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=375 for a guide. As you are rooted, just follow the how to flash instructions.
Instead of using the rom it mentions, which is old, flash the zip for froydvillain or whatever you want using patched recovery

Do I Have to update?

Hi there,
I have a wild fire, nearly 1 week old. I rooted it and installed the "WildPuzzleROM_2.1" ROM I would like to install the WildPuzzle 2.2 which seems to be very interesting. Would it be worth installing it? What features that work / don't work in this version? I have the android kernel 2.6.29.

[Q] Stock rom

Hi there!
For the mytouch 4G phone from t-mobile, it doesn't come with vanilla android (the stock android O.S).
So, once rooted, is it possible to flash it with the Stock Android 2.2 O.S? That does not have T-mobile's junk? If so, where or how can I find it?
I came upon several links, but wasn't certain. Also, what does it mean by RUU rom?
thanks!
I have no idea what RUU to be honest, never used one but I think it's the factory image that's used to bring phone back to stock, not sure if there's one for MT4G
There's no official vanilla 2.2 rom for this phone. The closest thing you can have is CyanogenMod. 2.2.1 is in RC2 stage and is very stable. 2.3 (gingerbread) is in unofficial alpha stage. It's very stable (as far as people say) but has it's bugs and there no official support from CM for it, only community. All other roms out there are sense based. All roms are in Development section.
Obviously, you need to be rooted to flash any of those.
Good luck.
RUU = ROM Upgrade Utility. It is essentially the rom that ships with the phone. You are correct in saying there is no true vanilla Android ROM. OP's best bet is to go with CM as you suggested as it is Vanilla Android with some features added and closest to pure android you're going to get.

Install newer ICS apps

Hi there.
I have decided to use an older CM7 ROM purely for stability and speed reasons, but I really like the YouTube, Gmail, and Browser that comes with the newer ICS and JB ROMS.
Is there a way to install the newer apps on the older ROM?
Thanks
I think that no.
CM10 is built on JellyBean (Android v 4.1.2) and CM7 with GingerBeard (Android 2.3.6) so the versions of apps are very different, you can't get JellyBean's version of an app on a GingerBeard rom.
