Hi, I'm new to cooking ROM's and I'm trying to make a Clean/Lite rom for my HTC MEGA Touch2.
I made it clean, but when I flashed my rom the lockscreen is not popping up when pressing de "End" key!?
What packages does the lockscreen need? Because in the SYS package list there are 2 packages but i did selected them!
Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure there are three lockscreen packages, 2 in the common folder and one in a lang/resolution folder. Just add the files you're missing to windows and see if it loads. You don't need to re-cook to test if it works.
Do you have a lock screen at all or does it just not come up when you long press the End Key?
The lockscreen popping up when you press the End Key is a function of the "Long Press End Key" package, I believe.
Here's the "Long Press End Key" package that I've been using although there are other versions that have more options in the quick list screens.

Hiya
Just got my htc touch hd, installed a few cabs (Fennec, skyfire and what not), however when I now click on other cab files i have put onto my storage card, they will not install. The green highlight bar just flashes when i click it and the "Up" and "menu" at the bottom flash and disappear. I have tried double clicks, single clicks - the whole lot! Does anyone know why it is doing this and how it can be resolved please - without a hard reset lol.
Furthermore, my end key does not lock the device when I hold it, despite the settings saying it should. I have downloaded pocketsheild so hopefully wil;l; that fix it in a way? However I cannot install it!!!!!

Is there any way to change the location of start menu button to bottom or, if that's not easy, is it possible to create a shortcut for the start menu in the favourite programs list? I'm on Dutty's HD WM6.5 Leo R7 WWE (Manila 2.5.19202525.0).
My digitizer is not functioning properly and the top part of the screen isn't responding to touch (so, the default start menu button location doesn't respond to touch). Is there any other way to access the HoneyComb / start menu contents?

could anyone tell me how to move the start menu to the softkey menu and how to enable the large softkey buttons in an own ROM as you can see in many by TAI cooked roms.
Is there any way to install this feature afterwards.

On the roms that are 6.5.x with no start button like on the HD Mini where it is just phone and menu is there a way to get a cab from someone the will put the start button back or no go. By start button I mean the windows flag button? Thanks!

You can edit the registry:
1. To Enable Soft Start Key

Hi everyone,I have done ,with an hex editor,a little modification at the screen of notifications (when you push the top bar on wm6.5.x) which replace the battery button for an acces to windows start menu(the old SendWin),the same who appears in bottom-left of some roms.The taskManager button was added time ago.
In wm 6.5.x that top bar ,on my opinion,is not so good than the old wm6.5 one,whith this twek ,the acces to start menu and taskmanager can be easy with a simple finger.For view it,see the preview image.
I have tested on 2 diferents wm6.5.x roms and runs.Instalation:
Backup your originals NotificationManager.dll and NotificationRes.dll,the first is the one I hacked ,the second where the new icons are.
Download an unzip the attached zip,copy to \windows replacing the existing files.Softreset and enjoy.
Notes:
-Mortscript must be instaled previously on your rom.
-The buttons can be used as launchers of any .exe you whant,simply rename your app to Rtask2.exe or powerexx.exe and copy to windows.

Yes,htc Leo with wm6.5.x ,in rom artemis v30 the start icon does not apears but when push the oem battery icon the hack works and sends to the windows start menu.
