Editing contact pictures in TF3D - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

Whenever I add a photo to my contacts, I can't seem to be able to adjust the photo to show what I want to see. I typically see waistlines when I need to see faces.
i tried going through the manual for the Pure and have done several searches here on the site. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this without have to use Pictures and Videos to edit/crop the photo.
Appreciate any assistance.

Depending on what Manilla version you are running, you should be able to select menu while choosing our contact pic and edit from there

not sure if i get your meaning, but when you set contact photo from album, you can easily zoom in/out and crop the desire potion.
you can do so directly from your HTC album or when you edit your contact card.

just select your desire pic, zoom in/out and move around to get what you want, then crop.

TF3d Wallpapers!!

I've just finished going through all of my pictures and wallpapers cropping and editing the ones I wanted for the X1, so I figured I'd share them with everybody. All Images are 480 x 660 which i find fits very well into TF3d (portrait of course)
Perhaps this can become more of a wallpaper thread, If you've got a cool wallpaper to share please post it here and mention what size/application its for
Download all 50 of my wallpapers HERE

Sorry, didn't see that you had posted here too.
Download a program called Gimp, its a free image editing program similar to photoshop just simplified. Open the image you want to resize and select the image tab at the top of the screen, then in the drop down menu select scale image. Then all you have to do is change the height and width values to what you want and your done.

Focus Matrix Wallpaper

For all my fellow Samsung Focus brethren... here's my latest transparent effect wallpaper. The preview image is for illustration only. You have to use the one in the zip file, unzip it, and email it to yourself. Then download it in your mail, open it, and use as wallpaper. When you slide up to open, you will notice a transparent smoke effect.
Know issues with transparency:
1. Does not work with pin lock set
2. With certain apps open (like email for instance), you will see the bottom soft buttons through the wallpaper
If you don't want the transparent effect, just use the jpg image preview below (right click, save image as...)

NICE really coo! thanks!
Really nice all paper. Any chance you can tell us what you did? Is it just a transparent png?
The way I did it was using transparency and layers... there are a lot of ways to make cool effects. Look at this thread here:

This happens to be my favorite and what I'm using now (but not Focus specific):

picture on my phone
is it the phone?..if not can it be fixed?
If the phone's screen was bad, then the screenshot wouldn't look as bad. That's because the screenshot app doesn't take a pic of what's on it screen. It's taken from the rendering coming out of the GPU.
So don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your screen. Its probably the ROM.... or maybe someone somehow screwed up your GPU .

Seems to be a problem with the gallery app. I have/had the same problem. I wanted to have a specific picture as my wallpaper and the endquality looked horrible like in your screenshot. I read somewhere while googling, that the gallery app downscales the pictures in some way (correct me if im wrong).
If you want to make that picture as a wallpaper and want to keep the quality i can recommend the app "Crop Wallpaper". It lets you crop your pictures while keeping it's original quality and sets it as your wallpaper.

MMS attachments - VCF and images dont work or look like crap

So I've had a few folks with iPhones send me VCFs, and they appear as a tiny unclickable image in the messaging list, but can't seem to be able to do anything with it. Getting photos from iPhones seems to come across as a slide show video where it shows the text for 10 sec, and then the image for 10 seconds.
Is there a way to change / fix this so I could imports the VCFs or view the image without slideshow?

Here's an example of a VCF that I received that I couldn't open / save. Ultimately had to call the person back and have them read me the #.

Where is the gallery in the camera app

For example on the G4 i tap on a photo hit the back arrow top left and it takes me to a scrolling grid of my images which I can view and or select several of for example.
I can't find how to do this in the G6 I've googled and it's driving me nuts. I'm not expected to have to go back and forth between the camera and gallery app surely?

You can enable an option in the camera settings that allow you to see the images in the gallery on the top of the screen.
THanks, I saw that but they're smaller and only one row.
If I wanted to email several photo's I could do it from the G4 camera app, this time I have to take the photo's then go to Gmail or gallery. Sigh, add to this the lack of LED and it's being to get a little disappointing.
