tried to unlock network with HTC CODE.COM - Wildfire General

It didnt work...has anyone else used/had problems/sucess using www.htccode.com?
It cost me $20.00 (£13 ish) bit annoyed =(

Did you get your unlocking code?

They unlocked my wildfire, was a delay by a day but got the code.
I asked them to check if they had my code before purchase.
I had tried HTC sim unlock before n had nothing but problems.
Htccode was good.

T-Mobile unlock

Hey guys I'm a noob you'll probably find that out as you read on. Anyhow I was wondering what the legal risks are with unlocking a T-Mobile phone using something like gfree. Also could it like change my plan or anything like that? Sorry If I'm confusing
Thanks in advance

You can potentially loose your warranty and that usually doesn't even happen. That's about all that will happen, you will however become addicted to flashing and may loose your wife because of it lol!!!!

Hahah I'm only fifteen so I don't have i worry about that yet(; I've been flashing many roms since I permarooted I just don't know whether or not to unlock.

Unlocking sgs

Hi guys I have one question that maybe was already asked here,so I am sorry if I am asking stupid questions.. Anyway, I want to give my galaxy s to my brother but we are not using the same network, and my phone is locked to my network. So how safe is phone unlocking ? what is the procedure for unlocking the phone and is it shortening phones' life? Also,my brother will be using it in another country...Thanks in advance!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I've never had a problem unlocking a phone.
Just buy an unlock code online. Check eBay first.
After you have the unlock code, give the phone to your brother and when. He inserts his SIM card, he will be asked for an unlock code. Once he enters it, he can use the phone...

Interesting, I thought it was much more complicated than that.. I am in Serbia now using Vip mobile, my brother will use it on Vodaphone Malta, you think that there would be no problems if I buy code from uk ebay? Is it than unlocked for every other network in the Europe? Thanks

Just make sure that your brother's network is compatible. (AKA he uses a SIM card and that the network specs are compatible) and you should be fine...

Ok,but how should I know if they are compatible? What should I check first?

Once your phone is paid off they will unlock it if you're using EIP...if you purchased full price and have had your account over 40 days they will unlock it...don't see the need for a petition lol
Do these things really help?

They change their policy in April 2013. They are giving people that purchased at full price a headache to unlock their phones...

As long as you bought the phone outright you can unlock it. I just sim unlocked my at&t varient.
Online sim unlocking services...
I don't get it. I unlocked my SIM by paying some guy (I forgot his sellers is name) on EBay $3.50
Why is there a need for a petition?

At the moment, in the USA, sim unlocking by anyone except the carrier is technically illegal. The exemption was removed. I think they are working on taking care of that though. On that same note T-Mobile should let you sim unlock if you ask. Remember you can always ask for a supervisor.

SIM Unlock - [Completed]

Hi Folks
Im not selling anything here, but because my Device was locked to Voda I had to get it unlocked.
I went to http://sim-unlock.net/ and they unlocked it for me in 7 mins. I tried Voda and they charged me £19.99 for it (23 Euros ish)
Think it was something like £8.56 after conversion but its awesome now .
The website looked a bit dodgy at first but sorted in the end.
I tried to do my Desire C unlock action here, but i had issues tracking down the storage section on the device which is used for Simunlocking a unit. .
Anyhow... Devs, if you feel this is Spam please delete, but im pretty sure that lots of people will ask.

I'm from Ireland and I believe I unlocked by this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708567
OOOORRRRRR
P.s. I didn't checked straight away when I got a phone from three store, (didn't had nanosim) and I know and I'm witness of they saying our "phones are sim locked" but same time phones are not locked. My Previous phones from three are samsung galaxy s3 and note 3 and both was not simlocked
so anyway my m8 are sim free now or who knows maybe was already, didn't checked just start do and then check.
I have noticed these days it is only certain companies that require sim locking. Most others don't care.

Well, you are in trouble. Vodafone changing the code and doesn't seem to storing them properly. My contract ran out so asked for the code. They supplied one, but didn't worked. Same thing from some unblocking sites. You have 10 attempts then is hard locked.
After a bit of "fighting" I received replacement and sim free.

The first batch aren't locked, specially on high demand devices. So if you are among the first getting the phone you are in luck.
