Howdy
I upgraded to DJ 1.5 (also updated the GPS fix) and downloaded Titanium Pro. The market shows that I've download it but it's not showing up in my apps?
When I look in the TB pro folder, there's no data?
Anyone have any similar experiences or fixes?
Thanks

What is the best backup method for the froyo roms we are all running?
I usually use My Backup Pro but it doesn't restore all my apps for some reason? Also used Titanium but ended up stuck at white HTC screen after a restore and even nandroid restore to clean rom install didn't work. Was I just unlucky once with Titanium? Can titanium backup SMS etc too I only saw apps it never restored SMS. Thanks!
Titanium Backup does it all for me.
SMS's, e-mail(accounts), wireless networks. (All apps, appdata and systemdata)
Can't think of anything it doesn't backup.
I always run a batch backup, this force closes running applications (although this is optional), so this might cause a white screen.
It's supposed to do everything you want, so there's no need to look any further (unless it really doesn't work for you...)

Mate, whar version of MyBackup Pro are you using? I know that there were certain bug fixes after v2.3.3. Im using v2.3.4 and it seems to work fine when backing up and restoring apps/data.
Try the later version.
2.3.6 so I guess it is some incompatibility somewhere. Just gone back to MCR 3.1 and it did the same. Probably less than half my apps were restored!
i can confirm that Mybackup pro 2.4.0 works flawlessly on froyo.. im backing up as we speank
If you have the native A2SD enabled on FroYo, MyBackup Pro won't back up the apps that are on the SD card.

i'm using titanium, not had any problems with backups. i use A2SD+ not the froyo A2SD though.
I use backup pro.
just make sure you have a partitioned sd card with can be done with rom manager or you will lose all your sd apps when you wipe before installing a new rom.
as i did..... haha
Hey I know this was probably posted before but I searched everywhere and I couldn't find info about this. I had some corrupted files and had to reinstall android ( here is the original post with the problem, it was solved http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782615). I used Titanium backup to batch backup all my apps, It did. I reinstalled android, and went on the make a restore from my backup in Titanium. It did restore all the apps that came with froyostone and all the previous settings and things like the theme... but it did not install my market downloaded apps. In the program itself, it shows that there is a backup, but the apps are in grey and they say [not installed] before them (For example [not installed] amazon). It doesn't let me restore the app it only allows me to delete it. What do I do? can't find anything please help me guys!
Appreciate all the help,
Danny
I am on Liberty 1.5 and accidentally removed my market when trying to update to the newest version of the Market app. Afterwards, it didn't work so I restored my last backup of the system folder, which was when I was still on Liberty 1.0. I'm about to reflash Liberty 1.5, but I want to back up my texts, app settings, etc (everything Google doesn't automatically back up).
Any suggestions on an app to use?
Thanks a lot!
You definitely need to get Droid 2 Bootstrap if you don't have it. You can find the free version by Google or paid version in Market.
oh, I have the paid version of that already. I actually ended up using Titanium Backup to back up my user apps and settings, then wiped and reinstalled 1.5. Everything's working fine!
Titanium Backup is probably your best bet.
As for me Handy Backup for Android is the best backup application.
The Launchepro backups ive made NEVER restore it always tells me i have a SD Card issue or something, but i don't.
The sd card is mounted, everything is good, it says my sd card has issues and my file may be corrupted.
Today While flashing new CM7 #25 I lost all my data for launcher pro.
Titanium backup didnt even work to restore my things.
Now i have to put all my apps where they belong...
How can i prevent this if it happens again?
Keep a copy of your backup on your pc.

I have always had issues with titanium backup not working for LauncherPro properly. Use the utility in the launcher pro preferences to back up the settings, then when ever you flash a new rom install launcher pro from the market THEN using the launcherpro preferences menu reload your settings. This so far has been the only method that has worked flawlessly for me.
-Cheers
if you've backed up and restored launcher pro using titanium backup and then later decide to use launcher pro's built in backup utility, it causes an error and won't restore.
uninstall launcher pro, download it from the market, and restore using the built in restore of launcher pro and you'll be good to go.
@ Alex, i do, and it never works.
@ shred, When i reinstall my apps using titanium backup, it usually just auto restores everything including the data.
@Geoff, I'll try that for next time, thank you. I already got it all setup for now.
thanks guys!\
THANKED EVERYONE BUT GEOFF, sorry 5 limit lol. i'll do it later when i can.
Hi guys,
Since I have the latest ROM for my country (XXUAME2 for I9505), all my schedule backups with Titanium Backup Pro or Helium Pro do not work properly. The task is running (they don't signal any error) but none of my last modified user data are backup... That's quite annoying.
Do some of you have the same issue?
Also, Titanium Backup cannot save my SMS/MMS and WIFI as XML. The app is force closing all time.
Bump.
It does the same with XXUAMEA...

What version of Titanium Backup do you guys have? Mine is McDaCO Plus 6.0.3.1 and I have a i9500 version. This app works just fine.
I have Titanium Backup 6.0.5 and stock Samsung ROM XXUAME2 for I9505 with CF-Auto-Root.
