HTC's weather service is down temporarily.

Yep, multiple users reporting same problem. Appears to be a problem with the current location only. Manually added locations seem to work.

How did you find that out?

Yeah. How did you find that out?
I figured it was just me, but I've taken no time to troubleshoot..

Confirmed by HTC:
Unfortunately the Weather application that your device uses to display its Weather data is currently experiencing some technical issues. We have recently become aware of this issue and are working on a resolution to it. At this time we have no available time table for a fix. We appreciate your patience while we work on correcting this issue.

OTA July 19th?(tonight)

has anyone gotten, heard, or know anything about the supposed OTA that is coming? supposed overall performance improvements, as well as better camera app, also supposed to fix that possible charging bug.

That should help you out, if you haven't seen it already. I may or may not hold off on the OTA because it may help with the Droid X rooting efforts. Chances are I'll get it though :-/
This is my first android phone so I'm just wondering...what's the procedure for an OTA update? Will the Droid X automatically prompt us when it becomes available or is there a manual action required?

automatic, so yes something will prompt you and if you don't click for it yourself in 3 minutes is the time frame i believe, it will automatically just do it. it will restart your phone after it downloads and then install and start up again.
i haven't got the update yet but i have been manually checking all day! i want it bad lol.

That's the general consensus across the forums so I think that's solid.

Installed no noticeable difference. Now we will let the clock start ticking for froyo. Tick. Tock. And so it begins. May e this was secretly a maintenance update for froyo. Vzw tweeted today that froyo for the dinc would b late july or early august. U don't think the are going to give it to someone other than their flagship phone first do u?

Did you try a system reset? Could also be your APN settings. You can Google to get the right ones.

[Q] Stock ROM EVO wrong time in clock.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I have searched first for the answer (cook for TP2 so familiar w/search first). My wife's EVO (that she doesn't allow me to touch because of my WinMo obsession) is showing wrong times at random; however, the lockscreen is correct. Has anyone heard or experienced this. I am not well versed in android until now that it benefits her lol. Thanks in advance.
What time does it say right now?
Location correct?

Anybody Else Having Navigation Issues?

For the past two weeks, I can't navigate, it keep saying searching for GPS. I'm on CoreDroid1.3.
I checked my friend's stock Android phone to see if hers works, it does the same thing. I'm wondering if Google is having issues in our area or what the heck?
Mine works well. Your phone only uses t-mobile's towers to get a coarse location, then refines it using satellites in SPACE. So I doubt it's google. Try running one of the myriad gps fix apps

Aren't easy fixes great?
Sent from my Glacier using XDA
Actually, when I searched and fixed the problem the first time, I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidlab.gpsfix&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hbmRyb2lkbGFiLmdwc2ZpeCJd
Because, I couldn't actually find Myriad GPS fix. The one I used spams ads. Which one are you using?

Erm...
myriad:
noun
1. a very great or indefinitely great number of persons or things.
2. ten thousand.
It's not the name of the app. I was using hyperbole to say there are a LOT of gps fix apps.
